I arrived at the Bottle Drop in Gresham at around 2:30 today to a line to the door, five out of ten machines were not working in addition to the payout machine not working and only one person working. My only compliment is that the employee kept a great low key attitude. If you want to encourage recycling please keep everything working and a little cleaner would be great.

Went to this bottle drop to get rid of cans and bottles. Third time we’ve been here. They had a sign in each of the cash boxes. Said limit of $ 10.00. Not per slip, not per transaction just limit of $ 10.00. So one of my slips I stopped at $ 10.00. Then had 2 other slips that totaled 3.50. So hubby ran the 10.00 one through, then ran other slip through. Gal came up with blondish hair pulled up on top of her head. Looked at my hubby and said didn’t you see the sign? He said YES he did see the sign. She said only $ 10.00!!! The way the sign was wrote, you could take it a couple different ways. She was so rude to him, giving dirty looks to him cause she had to open the stupid machine! Other gal that was working in there was nice but, beware of the one with her hair on top of her head. Oh, they also have a sign looking for help. Who in their right mind would want to work with this gal is beyond me. Very rude!

This was somewhat of a recent discovery for me. Previously I would just recycle all of my bottles and cans with my regular recycling. Setting up your account is easy, just go to the location and fill out a quick form and they will set you up right there.
You do have to pay for the bags, but they are only a few cents per bag. Once the bags are full just use your card and drop off the cans. They will count them and credit your account automatically. You can check your balance any time from your mobile device or computer.
There are kiosks there where you can print your checks from your account. Overall this is pretty cool, no more having to wait for your cans to be counted.

First time using this BottleDrop location. We were in and out in about 20 minutes redeeming about 600 bottle and cans. Anywhere else this probably would have taken 2 hours.
