Buyer beware! The customer is always wrong at this hotel. If you have any billing dispute expect to be wrong at this hotel. The management will not reverse any charges. I wish I had checked the reviews beforehand. This hotel had bad reviews on Unilocal and Trip Advisor. I took my complaint to Marriott’s customer care and there was nothing they could do since this hotel is an independently-owned franchise hotel. Stay away unless you like paying extra fees.

When I checked in, they claimed I made two separate reservations. I did not. They insisted I did, and said they may have to charge me for both. A few minutes later, they called my room, and said I did indeed make two separate reservations, and that they would be charging me for both. I told them I was not even in front of my computer at the time the second reservation was supposedly made. They were steadfast that they would be charging me for both even though I was traveling alone on business. Finally, they called me back and said someone else with the same name had also made a reservation, so they would not have to charge me. How nice of them. Even if I had made a second reservation by mistake, you would think they could forgive such an error since I travel a lot for work and stay exclusively at Marriott. Instead, they wasted my time on their mistake. The staff at the front desk was rude overall.

I am a Marriott fan and love their brand. Most often on business this is where I stay. Fairfield Inn & Suites have been a solid choice now for several years. This property kept up the strong reputation that I have found in many cities. A few details about this extended stay. House keeping was excellent and the room looked great at check in and during my stay. The rooms have been recently renovated and it shows One hitch when asking for an early cleaning did not happen, again a disappointment. However, the other days early service request went off without a hitch. FREE WiFi worked flawlessly the entire stay. The general hotel cleanliness was above average. I enjoyed the remodeled common areas. Our party utilized the breakfast bar space on two nights and it was perfect with plenty of room and a big screen TV. They also have self serve laundry which was sparkling clean. A pool for the kids, however on my visit the water appeared murky. The morning breakfast was what I have come to expect, top notch offerings of hot items such as make your own waffles. The woman servicing the area did her job, but nothing beyond. I always love to see the staff involved in clearing if they have time and talking to guest. The general area where the hotel is good. Just across the street at a gas station I encountered folks that I would not hang with and seemed almost unsafe. I saw no signs of this carry over to the hotel less than a half mile up the road. In summary this property had an excellent front desk that accommodated every need I had. At times they were not at the desk as quickly as I like which was a disappointment. The grounds were kept up, the parking lot had plenty of spots in front and sides. House keeping was above average. and the overall hotel had a crisp clean appearance. The rates were fair for all that you get, so I feel the value is above par. I would book here again.

Solid Fairfield. Looked like the lobby had been redone recently — nice look. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very spacious, clean, and above all quiet! Location is perfect, close enough to I-40 but far enough away to be quiet — we will be back!

Comfortable room, clean, quiet. Free wifi that works. Walking distance to a nice bar/restaurant. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Will certainly stay here again on the way through the Greensboro area.

We came to Greensboro on an overnight trip while visiting some historic sites nearby. We really lucked out in choosing this hotel, as it was much, much, much better than your standard chain clone. We pulled up in a massive rain storm and were greeted by Sapphira(hope I spelled that correctly), a warm, professional, and graceful employee. Our room was beautiful and very clean. Upon request, they brought me a CAT5 cable for my computer, as I preferred not to use the wireless network. We were able to easily adjust room temperature(it was originally too cold for me). In the morning, we were greeted with a complimentary breakfast that included, among other things, waffles, boxed cereals, fruit, and above average coffee. The downside was that room was so comfortable that we both fell into a deep sleep much earlier than we expected! Would stay here again without hesitation. However, this glowing review applies only to this Greensboro location.

Better; the room didn’t smell and(though I wasn’t on the first floor which was my specified preference) I was right across from the elevator. Wireless was still free and still good enough to not have to pay more.

It’s a rare occasion that I wind up giving 5 stars to a hotel. Normally I’m a picky enough jerk that I can always find something to annoy me. For 7 extra bucks, I was able to book the executive suite. Along with being visually appealing, it’s equipped with an iHome speaker system for the ipod, along with a comfy separate living room. The walls seem thick, the heater seems quiet, I don’t have to move furniture to reach the power outlets, they let me check in early, there’s WiFi that works well, etc. I really love the room and the hotel… especially for the price! Definitely worth a stay if you’re in the area.
