Description

Specialties

The Grayson Coffee House is the community’s refreshment destination! We offer drip coffee, lattes, mochas, (iced or hot), as well as a large selection of tea. We also have smoothies, freezes (frozen frappes), and Zodas (Italian sodas). We have a limited selection of breakfast and lunch choices as well as locally homemade pastries, sweets and treats. There are also several gluten free options.

We also carry King of Pops year round! The cooler is always full of cold drinks such as Coke, Sprite, and a variety of Fanta drinks, all made with cane sugar. There is a varied selection of other drinks including Fizzy LIzzy, Dad’s Root Beer, Lost Trail Black Cherry, Sioux City Prickly Pear, Cheerwine, Odwalla, and many others.

We brew Jittery Joe’s coffee exclusively. They are a local roaster out of Athens and we have a Grayson Coffee House blend coming soon for our One Year Anniversary.

Our food is all locally made from vendors such as Totally Baked, graft, Hail Mary, and Engelman’s.

History

Established in 2014.

Three girls walk into a church craving coffee and walk out owning a coffee house. Not much of a punchline but describes the beginning of the Grayson Coffee House. Cindy Bruce, owner, owns and runs a non-profit tutoring business and wanted a place for her tutors to call home while working. Allison Grier, owner, wanted to open a candy and ice cream shop but didn’t have the nerve to go it alone. Kerin Fraunfelder, owner, always wanted to own a coffee shop. And this is how the Grayson Coffee House was born.

After a looooooong eight months of construction and licensing and other red tape issues, the doors to the Grayson Coffee House opened to the public on September 19, 2014.
