It’s been a nightmare trying to find a reputable mechanic who will work on my Jaguar in Grass Valley/​Nevada City. My employer recommended Sierra Performance and I have found my mechanic home. Excellent service and customer service. I felt comfortable leaving my car there and they even put her in the garage at night. Great guys who are very professional!

3000 miles away from home and my car starts acting like it can’t idle at of course 10 pm. A motel and a Unilocal investigation brought me to Sierra performance–
They were crazy busy and fit me in:) I was able to make it to the airport that night– only because they gave me the part that they use to test in house. Ryan was amazing and I would ask to have him work on your car he is super knowledgeable and understanding of where your at. My car needed a lot of work but they were able to prioritize things for me and get me back on the road. The part used was only 27 dollars! Labor was over 300 but that is to be expected when working on foreign cars or so I’m learning.
I would let them fix the rest of this babe up if I lived in the area.

I have taken my 325i to Sierra Performance for almost 3 years now. Dave has always been straight forward and honest with his diagnosis of the problem. I have been happy with all of his work and the fact that he stands behind his work 100 percent. He has always made the necessary repairs in a timely manner and even points out things which might need repair or maintenance in the future. Overall I have been very happy with Dave and the professionalism of his shop. I’ll definitely be back the next time my car is in need of repairs.

Until we left the area, these guys took care of our cars. I was very happy with them for the 3 years I lived up there. On occasion we had some big bills for my modified TT, and some long term maintenance items. Usually the bills were modest and we never had any unusual breakdowns or flare ups. I feel comfortable saying you will most likely have a good experience at Sierra Performance.

This is a pre-​review from a visit I had to Sierra Performance today. I recently moved back to the area and drive a M3. After seeing that Sierra Performance is the #1 shop for German cars I went by to check it out and make sure it woudl be a good place to take my car for service.
The shop is clean and staffed with BMW certified techs, which immediately made me feel good. Location is also nice, right off of the freeway at McKnight way, and the office is much nicer/​tidier than most shops you walk into.
Finally, after talking for a few minutes I realized the owner is Dave Peeler. Dave has been fixing European cars in this area for over 20 years, and I can attest to this because I worked for him during high school. Knowing he is in charge made me even more confident that this is the place for me, since I know he holds himself and his staff to a high standard of ethics and performance.
I will be taking the BMW in for an oil service and inspection in a month or two and will update my review at that time.

I’m old to the area but new to old Bimmers (does that make sense?) and was gratified to find some local guys who seem to know what they’re doing. Dave is a true enthusiast and Ed drips experience. The only thing missing is a Bavarian accent. They were able to fix a clunky problem (busted window regulator) in less time and for less money than I’d expected.
Keep the kraut kars on the street, guys! Thanks for the good work!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for Dave and Co. for a while now! And I’m surprised no one else has done so yet either. If there had been some Unilocal reviews when I originally started getting my car repaired, it would have saved me a trip through two other places that totally didn’t work out.
Long story short, my car is ridiculous. A million and one engine light codes, and all needed to get fixed before I could get my smog check to pass. Dave and his mechanics went beyond the call and got my car in shape, and I didn’t have to wait weeks for it to get done (unlike at other not-​so-​Superior places).
Dave also happens to be a super nice guy, and his mechanics are extremely experienced. I will definitely be back here the next time my car needs help… which, sadly. won’t be long.
