Impressive … an over the phone conversation Kara was familiar with my washer and the problem. We set a date and time and Kara, arrived on time and called to let me know she was on her way. Interestingly after Kara, examined the problem, it turned out to be a «stump the technician» problem. Meaning, the fault codes presented were not listed. So, Kara took a step back pulled out a volt/​ohm meter and dove under the machine and found a defective wiring harness and had my washer up and running. I would definitely refer this business.

Kara was excellent and great to work with. Our dryer wouldn’t heat up and after trying the usual suspects, it still didn’t work… we were all stumped and we thought we’d just gotten a lemon. But Kara is tenacious and was bound to figure it out – other mechanics could easily have just given up – and she found a tiny orifice that had a teeny bit of lint in it. Problem solved! She spent extra time and was very reasonable – worth every penny. We’ll be calling them for all our appliance issues… two thumbs up!

Recently I needed to have my laundry center repaired. The washer wouldn’t drain; the dryer wouldn’t spin.
Not knowing anything about the company, I crossed my fingers and called Hale Appliance.
I thank my lucky stars that I did. Hale diagnosed the situation, ordered a part, and repaired my washer.
Then the part for my dryer arrived, and Hale could begin the repair. They soon found themselves deep inside the innards of the dryer. Suddenly Kara said to stop everything. She then dangled a very linty sock in the air. We didn’t need the new part after all!
Hale put everything back together – my dryer was working again. They didn’t charge me for a service call or for labor. Other companies should emulate the professionalism of Hale Appliance. They are friendly, honest, and efficient. They gladly take time to explain things. I highly recommend their service.

Hale Appliance is the best!!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. They are a husband and wife team and very reasonably priced. I have heard that other repair folks totally rip people off. Aaron Hale and his wife, Kara, are honest and trustworthy, and are good people! I have used them twice and plan on using them again soon. Always is a pleasure to do business with them!

I called her with an issue on my Frigidaire washer and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Pulled over while on route to a service call and spent at least 30 minutes with me. Told me the history on the model of washer I have, suggested a replacement and even knew what it would cost.
I should point out, this is to the detriment of her own business. How many business owners would spend 30 minutes with you, not bill and offer a solution where they got no money for what they recommended –0-​.

Wow! This is the way people should treat one another. After 2 weeks of fiddling with my 12 year old dryer, I finally called for a repair appointment. Kayla (?) Talked me through a few «try-this“es over the phone, and voila, it was just a cranky door switch– how is that for service! With this very-​positive experience, I would recommend them to everyone.

This is the «go-​to» company for appliance repair! Local family owned business, great people, knowledgeable and professional. I’d refer them (and often do) to anyone!

Kara is my landlords right hand gal when an appliance needs fixed. My landlord really knows quality because Kara is friendly, fast, and efficient. She’s full of well deserved confidence and kindness. I think her rates are quite fair as well although I’m not the one paying.

Kara is just what everyone has said before. Very knowledgeable and efficient. She is very personable. She tried to repair what was there with the current seal, but it would not keep the washer from leaking so she put in a new seal. She charged less than the going rate on line for that part, which was $ 20 more. Their rates are very very reasonable. I will be our go to appliance repair company. Kara was refreshingly competent, friendly, and punctual. My washing machine presented a tough problem and she didn’t give up. Once the problem was determined to be in the wiring she agreed that it was not cost effective to repair. She only charged for one house call, even though it took two visits to determine the problem. I highly recommend her and will call again if I have a problem in her skill set.

This will be my first time reviewing a company. I’ve never come across one wonderful enough, that I was inspired to take the time to do so.
I picked up my Kenmore Elite HE3 front load dryer from storage, and needed to convert it from propane to natural gas, unaware of how I might go about this I stopped by the local Grass Valley Sears store to inquire. I was given a business card for Hale Appliance Services. I called before even leaving the parking lot, spoke with kara who told me to come on over to her house which was about a mile away. Of course when we arrived we realized we had the washing machine in front of the dryer, with no guys to help us move it. Kara jumped in the back of the pickup truck, popped off the front of the dryer, stuck her hands inside Black Widow cobwebs and all, and by feel not sight, with it sprinkling, switched it from propane to natural gas. Not only is kara a genius at what she does, but she has a great personality to go with it. I can’t say enough about how wonderful my jexperience was. You can trust the repair.

Kara Hale did a great job repairing my dryer. In addition to being prompt and fair priced, she borrowed the likely needed part, so I could avoid the retail markup. She was also pleasant and likable – which are nice characteristics of someone spending time in your home.

This happened about a year ago, but given recent inquires from folks on the need for service and the fact that our service was so outstanding we thought we’d share…
We have a Kenmore top loader about 9 years old. A year ago, the spin cycle stopped working, rendering the clothes soggy and not easily dried in our Kenmore dryer.
We originally had purchased the units from Sears Grass Valley so decided to call Sears service to get it fixed. We got the their new national service center (no local service anymore) and ended up talking their India call center, which tried to sell us a a service contract in order to come out to service the unit. We hung up, called the direct, local Grass Valley store sales line and found out that Sears had «canned» their local service personnel and went to the «1−800» call center approach. The sales guy was gracious enough to let us know that the local service folks had struck out on their own and that we might want to call «Hale Appliance».
We ended up calling Kara Hale, who immediately knew what was going on with our unit, had an idea of the fix, explained her call process and estimated charges, then came to our home the next day, diagnosed the problem, had the parts on her truck, fixed the problem, took a check payment, buttoned things up and left.
Great experience! Highly recommended!

My Whirlpool washing machine began to leak water out from the bottom. The washer had served me well for a long time so before I go out and purchase a new washer I decided to call for an estimate on a repair. I called Kara and am so happy I did. Kara was very knowledgeable in her opinion of what the problem might be and quite honest about what my options were. Based on our telephone conversation I decided to have her come out and take a look at my Whirlpool. Kara arrived on time with all parts and equipment needed to complete the job in one trip. Kara was prompt, courteous, and very professional. She explained her repair while she was working and very quickly got my washing machine working strong again for a fraction of the cost of a new washing machine. Thank you Kara.
