Just visited Sloan ad Williams for a wine tastings this place is great. Texas hospitality at its best. Owner Allan gave us the story of their brand and how they take such care to make their delicious wine. Great wine and Tapas spot… A must stop when in Grapevine TX

I like it!!! Our second time here. Once at the old location and now at the new place. The atmosphere here was nice and relaxed. Enjoyed the Crimson Crush and the Cab Sauv. The shrimp tempura was excellent. The Tapas menu was complete with all the cheeses, meats and accompaniments. Great place to visit with friends. No need to worry about being an expert just come and drink what you like they are very layer back here. Interesting that a competitor down the street recommended them.

I was part of a large Delta Gamma sorority reunion, fifty or so, that had a private event at Sloan & Williams on Saturday night, Oct. 17, 2015. I cannot tell you how much fun we had! The new location on Main Street is great. The food that we chose was delicious, and we could not have been treated better by one of the owners Alan Kunst and the staff. They were so easy to deal with. If you have not been to Grapevine lately, this is a warm, welcoming city and a fantastic place to have an event or a nice evening. They have fabulous wine ice cream in six flavors; try them all!

Grapevine has an awesome downtown, and this place serves good wine and cheeses. There are better ones nearby though.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 9. We were the only people in the place, so that was an interesting surprise. We all had a couple scoops of the wine ice cream for $ 2. What a deal! We enjoyed Sloan & Williams!

Not only a great place for wine tasting but to try wine ice cream, I end my strolls of Main Street there. Love the new location.

Though we did enjoy their Crimson Red, none of the wines were local. The appetizer ordered, tasted as if it came from frozen food. Expected more. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain ps. Interesting comment that you have «local wines». None were shared with us. Secondly, the bartender said the grapes you use, are from California. Local means grapes and processing done in that state. That’s like saying «Made in The USA» (from foreign parts.:)

We went here on a Saturday night around 9:30. We order a couple of flights of wine. The four samples for each of us arrived without any labels so we have 8 glasses of wine and cannot keep track of which ones were which. They REALLY need to provide some way of labeling each glass. We ordered from their tapas menu. About 20 minutes later, still no food. We call the server over and she suddenly tells us that the chef has already left and she will go back and prepare our food now. She offered to go make it and we declined since we were hungry and tired of waiting. At that point we were ready to just get out of there. The atmosphere is pretty good, a great place for group since they have lots of larger tables. The musician playing was excellent! Can’t say we will ever go back though. The service was disappointing and I really had hoped we would have had a much better experience.

Your new location is SPECTACULAR! From your curving wood bar, all the way through your fresh renovation, and including the creative lighting display in the ‘front room’, this space just WORKS! There are so many functions I can recommend to your space! The tables, seating a few to many and the numbers of tables, could easily accommodate a large party! OK, so you already know I crave your wines; but, now you have me hooked on your WINE ICE CREAM! After lunch today, my new friend (MJ, you know who you are) treated me to a Chocolate Cabernet wine ice cream that made me want to just kick back and forget the afternoon meetings! What a TREAT! I will see you VERY soon! You’ve hit a real home run with ME!

I am normally a sweet wine drinker but I love the wines here. Some of the best red wines I have ever tasted. There Merlot is the only Merlot I have ever liked and their Sangiovese is the best red I have ever drank. I also tried their Rosey goat cheese. Belting farm port wine cheese and lle de France double Brie cheese. All were fantastic and the goat cheese was a hard cheese unexpected but great tasting!!! A must go if your in the area. This place also has the best service.

I know what was better. The service: amazing, the food: divine and the wine: let’s just say I purchased 3 bottles to take home. Fantastic spot nicely hidden with a great group of people. Adding this to our regular hang out spot! Kudos to Sloan and Williams Winery!

This was our second stop in Grapevine and we were totally happy with this winery. Each tasting is $ 2 so you can have as many or as little as you want. Nice selection of reds and you can also order tapas if you’re hungry. The meat and cheese plate was perfect. There is outdoor seating and the indoor space is very comfortable and open. You can order wine ice cream here too!!! A company by the name of Mercer’s ice cream has come up with wine ice cream and I’m telling you, it’s da bomb.. My favorite was the chocolate Cabernet and strawberry sparkling wine, but they are ALL so good! You won’t be disappointed with this winery. Such a great time.

We went here after trying several wineries on Main Street. It’s off the beaten path, but definitely worth the extra steps. We had the 2013 serendipity and and the 2013 Roussanne which were both very good white options for someone who likes a sweet wine that’s not quite syrup-​sweet. We also had the coconut shrimp. Service was very good. Food and wine came out quickly. Would drinayelt recommend to a friend for a quick stop-​by!

Wine is not very good, and unfortunately only one wine is made from Texas grapes (of what was offered that day). The tasting guide was definitely kind but her constant presence was a bit awkward. There was no music playing and it was basically us and her. straining conversation. I give it a one star due to the uncomfortable tasting room and the lackluster wine. It’s just not good.

What a surprise to find such quality, knowledge, respect and love of wine in Texas!!! Wendy was the best wine guide, we loved the way you treated us!
Having lived in California for 30 years and tasted over 3200 wines, I was amazed at Alan’s approach and knowledge of viniculture. Thank you for taking the time not just with us but every costumer. I was very impressed by the white blends. They are very well balanced delightful wines. Your Roussanne is world class!!! Neither of us are white wine drinkers but we were both taken aback how you were able to bring out the best of this French grape! We took a bottle home to save it for our next seafood meal.
The red varietals are all excellent expressions of each grape, aged long enough to be perfectly balanced (12 – 14 months). As Wendy pointed it out to us, the Sangiovese is your best. I cannot claim that it is the best Sangiovese made outside of Tuscany, but certainly the best I have ever tasted!!! Bravo!!! So we signed up to be a member…
P. s.: The wine ice-​cream is ingenious! I am so glad you had the vision and foresight to try something like this! We tried all of them. The best two were the port and merlot. You will see a lot of us and we will bring all our friends! 10 stars!

Awesome winery! The owners are outstanding and are very passionate about their company. They offer wine and tapas and have just added live music on the weekends. The owners are working the room, making sure they meet everyone. The staff are friendly and service is quick. My favorite wine is the Sangiovese, with the Serendipity at a close second. I’m not a fan of blush, but I do love theirs. The whites are flavorful as well.
Great place to spend an afternoon or evening drinking wine, nibbling on tapas and making new friends. I definitely recommend Sloan & Williams!

This is a great place. We just happened to see it and stopped in and they have great wine, friendly staff, and live music. They offer some small plates to snack on but it’s mainly about the wine. The owner came and talked to us and was extremely nice. I will be back. The nice thing about the music was it wasn’t overbearing where you couldn’t hold a conversation but it was a good band. The name of the band was David Froberg. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great new wine/​tapas place! Owners are military veterans who clearly love this new business. Owners and staff are very attentive and eager to make sure everyone is pleased. Great wine and tapas! You can sit inside (which is much nicer than what you expect when you see the outside) or on a small patio that has ceiling fans and is very pleasant. Location is just off Main Street so easy to walk to if you are strolling around Grapevine.
