I had color and cut done by Kasondra and she did an amazing job! She worked with me in regards to the right kind of color for my scalp and skin sensitivity and made every effort to make me comfortable. EVERYONE at the salon was helpful and really friendly. Great experience all the way around!

I booked a last minute appointment with Christina through the receptionist. The receptionist was bubbly, and very helpful navigating me around my work schedule and salon hours. I read great reviews about Christina on Unilocal,and they did not disappoint! Admittedly, it had been too long since my last cut. My once shapely A-​Line Bob was now grown out and tired. Christina helped tweak the picture I brought to what she though would suit me best. We confidently went in that direction and I love the results! The atmosphere of the salon was very comfortable, while still being hip. My husband is very picky with his hair, and found a favorite in the stylist Kim. After our move here a year and a half ago, I’m happy to say we’ve found our spa-​lon home! Keep up the great work. I can’t wait to see the finished renovations.

I can not rave about this salon enough! Christina did an amazing job on my new style. I came in with waist length virgin hair and left with shoulder length hair and color. The color technique I decided on is called sombre a more subtle look than the popular ombré look. Ask for Christina and you will not be disappointed!
Onto the salon itself… It is in a Victorian house in the Grapevine historic district right off Main St. filled with beautiful antique furniture. They were even able to find 4 matching drawers that they use as their stations. It smells heavenly in there and the hair products also smell wonderful. At checkout they have some nice jewelry and hair accessories. I could not pass on a headband to keep my newly short hair back and some hair ties that are better than regular ponytail holders on the hair.
Can not leave out that Christina was right on time before I even had the short new customer form filled out and I was early. She gave me a 25.00 new client discount that I was not even aware of. And with every referral I get a 25.00 credit to my account towards future appointments. I was there for 3 hours and bill was only 145.00 before the 25.00 new customer discount. I was surprised knowing that real estate in this area is outrageous.

Just got a drastic hair cut from shay/​Sarah. Her name is Sarah but they say shay because there is another Sarah. She did amazing. Cut off over 6 inches I’ve never felt more beautiful and she was a joy to talk to as well. Loved everything about her!

Excellent service and gorgeous staff! Mom got a beautiful color and I had a mani pedi! The girls here are so professional and know their stuff! I just moved from Miami and hated everywhere I wasted my time and money trying different places there. I’m so glad we found this place! Rebecca and Tina thank you so much!

Such a great experience at Renata. I love the Victorian house which is so homey and i always feel so welcome. Sarah Secrist gave me a new hair style and cut which I absolutely love and get tons of comments on all the time. I see her a couple times a month and it’s always perfect. Great place for a great haircut! Sarah S. did an awesome job cutting my hair and is super sweet. The other staff were friendly and the house is too cute. Definitely felt pampered even at a routine hair cut.

Tracey is very attentive to your preferences, ask questions, checks in, corrects, whatever it takes to make you happy. Friendly staff. Very accommodating with redos. Charming set up in old Victorian (not sure of era) style house.

Love the location and feel of the very quaint building in historic downtown Grapevine. I’ve been coming here for hair cuts and color with Lauren for many years. The stylists are all top notch!

I am new to the area and was in search of someone who could dry cut my hair. I had already had a bad experience at a different salon and was a little apprehensive about having my hair cut again. When I called I explained to the receptionist my needs and my past experiences. She was very patient and fit me with the perfect stylist, Rachel. Rachel was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. She cut my hair EXCATLY how I requested her to and was right on about how the style would work with my hair type. She did an excellent job and I am so relieved to have found someone I can trust to cut my hair. Thank you!

I love this salon/​spa… and that is saying a lot because I am a bit of a spa-​junkie. I was raised by a hair stylist back east (and several family members work in the business) — so I tend to be very picky. But this place is the real deal. Everyone who works here truly wants you to enjoy your visit and is committed to providing you the best possible service. When you make a hair appointment, you have the choice of booking with a junior or senior stylist, or the «creative director.» I love having these options! I have always gone to Tina for my hair color and Lauren for my cut — and I could not be happier. Another great part about Renata is that it is a one-​stop-​shop… not only can you get your hair done here but you can also get a massage (Bea has magic fingers!), facial, wax, eyebrow threading, professional make-​up, nails, etc. Best place — by far — in the area to get all dolled up.

Here’s the deal, I’ve never gotten my hair dyed before, but I’m so glad that I did! Lindsay did such an awesome job and made my experience a good one! I got a color and cut done and I’m really happy with both. It’s a fun place with nice people and good music (which is always important). I would definitely recommend Renata to anyone looking for a quality place to get hair done.
Not only did Lindsay do a great job, but she also put up with me until it was exactly what I wanted. After a week of deciding that I wanted to stop being a baby and go ever blonder, she took me right back and got me just what I was looking for.

Being new to the area I wanted to find a salon that used Bumble and Bumble. Since my stylist in New York began using this on me I’ve been hooked.
So, after making some calls I find out Renata uses it. Done, I book the appt.
When I get to the salon I am offered something to drink. Wine please. Thank you. The stylist brings me a glass of wine as she introduces herself. We sit and chat about my previous haircuts and what my stylist back home has done color wise. She complimented me on the length and color of my hair and offered some tips in styling before we began to talk about what to do with the color. We decided together to continue with the red tones in my hair. I was nervous about the red already in my hair mixing with the red she used but it came out PERFECT. Her cut made my hair feel SO much healthier and bouncy. I am definitely going back to see Lindsay.

Every service I get here is always good! (nails, facial, waxing, massage and hair!) Love the new changes they are doing! The place is looking great!
I am always greeted when I walk in and $ 20 off if I refer someone in — THANK YOU! The girls are always friendly and everyone is very accommodating.
Of course I will be back for more services!

So let me begin by saying… I bought a package of 10 massages from Renata about 2 years ago. They have been very gracious to let me use them past the 1 year expiration mark. I really loved the therapist that would see me but, she is no longer there. So I saw a new one, Jill, yesterday. I think Jill is very nice but in no way professional. She was chewing gum AUDIBLY during the massage & sneezed on me 4 times. After which she did not stop & wash her hands. Worst massage I have ever had. And I have had ALOT.
The pedicure I had after the massage was just as bad. The nail tech was VERY sweet, but it was her first week & you could tell she was a bit lost. Uneven polish & she coated my toes in some topcoat that made them look red & inflamed.
The worst part was the owner of the salon kept appearing offering me alcohol & cupcakes. I declined but she seemed to have had several Mimosas herself. Like she was hoping if I left inebriated & on a sugar high I would not remember my visit.
I left Renata that day & immediately made an appointment for a massage & pedicure somewhere else.

Renata, i REALLY wanted to like you. Today was my first visit to this salon and I went due to such high ratings right here on Unilocal.
I made an appointment today for a cut and color. The receptionist on the phone told me it would be «about 100 dollars» which aligned with another Unilocaler’s review here, so that’s what I went prepared to pay. Now my hair has put up with a lot from me the past two years. I’ve dyed it out of the box and salon-​hopped through several cities before settling here in grapevine. Needless to say, although my hair was deemed healthy by the salon staff, it wasn’t in great condition color wise. The girl doing my hair brought over another coworker for her opinion and they threw a bunch of beauty terms around about how to fix my hair the right way, i guess.
They took me back and to the best of my knowledge, applied a strong shampoo to the ends which gently lifts the bad evil «box» color out so that new color can be applied. That entire process took approximately 5 minutes from start to finish. Then my color was mixed and applied and i waited… after 30 minutes of processing time, she came back with a squirt bottle and applied toner to certain parts of my hair she left out of the dye.
3.5 hours after arriving, i finally had a cut and color i felt pretty happy with. I was exhausted and I’m sure the hairdresser was too. We walked over to the receptionist to check out and they hit me with a cool $ 160 surprise and the promise that «next time it wont be so expensive.» Apparently that fancy 5 minute color lifting shampoo (what I came to learn was a ~color correction~) and the squirt bottle of toner slapped on the extra expense. Now, had they explained to me up front «hey look, this might cost a little extra, but it’s really going to make your hair better in the long run,» i might have just felt a little better about the whole ordeal. There’s nothing worse than going into a salon with high hopes of walking out feeling great about yourself afterwards and instead feeling someone just pulled a fast one on you.
The icing on the cake was that as soon as I got home, i noticed two large spots of hair color on the FRONT of my shirt, which won’t come out.
now i have less money and one less shirt, but at least a hair cut i feel okay about. :(
Renata could have really improved the experience for me today by at least talking things through a little more thoroughly in terms of exactly what extra services they planned on providing if they really were deemed necessary for my hair.

So I drove out to Pura Vida when their phone was mysteriously disconnected and found my formerly beloved nail salon shut down. Whomp wah!
Thanks to Unilocal,I found the great reviews of Renata and decided to give it a shot. My spring break is coming to an end and I decided it was time for a massage and maybe even getting my nails done.
Renata offers the awesome «Mellow Merlot» package that includes manicure, pedicure, and 60 minute massage. I arrived and got a calming massage from Jill in the gorgeous upstairs half of this Victorian era home, but not before she poured me an extremely generous glass of red wine.
After my massage, I headed downstairs and was SO happy to find the awesome nail tech Patricia from Pura Vida! She moved up and out when the new (and short lived) owners took over Pura Vida and went to Renata. This girl can do a gel french manicure like no other.
So, with my body more relaxed, my nails prettier, and my toes sparklier, I’m ready to face the last chunk of the school year. Thanks Renata for picking up where Pura Vida left off — I’ve found my new nail salon!

I’ve been terrified to try a new salon to cut and highlight my hair in Dallas, but I decided to try Renata after reading the reviews here. Thank goodness I did! They had a cancellation and could get me in the same day I called. The Victorian house is charming, and the entire staff was so nice.
I had an appointment with Tianna, who is fantastic. She made a point of sitting down to talk with me before she started about what I liked/​disliked, what I had had done before, exactly what I wanted… definitely put me at ease. I hadn’t had my hair cut in months, so Tianna put in fantastic highlights, low lights, and gave me a great cut. The blow out and style was the best. I’m absolutely going back.

I needed a dye job, cut and style out.
When I was in Houston, a salon that carried Goldwell brand hair dye saved my hair. I’ve been looking for Goldwell hair dye since and learned that Renata carries it so a trek to Grapevine was in order for my appointment on Saturday.
First, Renata is in a Victorian House circa 1896. I super love Victorian houses so this was super cool to me. I’ll admit I was worried when walking into the fancy front greeting area that this would be an «uppity» place… not so! very down to earth and friendly. The hair stylists work predominantly in the front parlor, a tower room of sorts and all the ladies chat. There’s no annoying techno music like Toni and Guy thank goodness. its very chill.
Jordan did my dye job and she made it look amazing. Really, it hasn’t looked this good since last Dec. when I had it done in Houston. Very believable color, no damage that I can see. A good cut, she really listened to what I wanted. She also made sure I had a drink and a few magazines since I was going to be in her chair for a while.
The only slightly odd thing is you have to walk through the parlor to get your hair rinsed out in another room but I thought walking through the Victorian downstairs was pretty cool myself.
Root dye, semi permanent on the rest of my hair, shampoo, rinse, cut and style out was $ 100. Cheaper than Toni and Guy. Same price as Ulta but with less traffic, a private lot, nicer surroundings and more personal service.
This is my hair shop from now on. My three years of searching DFW for a good hair place are finally over.
