Day Spa Nails

After being a customer since they opened, I am done! Something has changed. I normally love to have the luxury of the nice expensive pedicures, but sometimes I just need a basic pedicure and they do not like that here. On my last visit two weeks ago I had to state it several times, then they were mad the rest of the time. Today I brought my daughter in for a fill and a basic pedicure (which they tried to upsale) due to a time constraint. I said just really trim and paint, no need for any fluff. I ran an errand and when I came back she was only half way done. I asked what the problem was and they decided to do a whole new set of nails after I left because they couldn’t find the matching colored powder they users the last time! Not only did it take double the time, it was double the price and didn’t give my 15 year old a student discount because her Colligate Academy High School ID has TCC on it because she in dually enrolled. Not a happy camper!

Originally I gave 5 stars for this nail spa. Service and employees were nice however… my nails chipped 1 day later. Waste of money.

This is by far the worst nail salon I have EVER been to. I came here with my boyfriend for my birthday and just wanted a standard mani/​pedi. He wanted a pedicure. I asked if they could do the mani/​pedi simultaneously, and they said yes. They were perfectly friendly until I asked for the classic 25 $ pedicure instead of one of the speciality pedicures. They made a big deal out of it and said «That comes with nothing.» I said I still wanted the classic pedicure but my boyfriend felt bad and said he wanted one of the specialty 45 $ pedicures.
I had a different lady for my manicure (they did not happen at the same time) and she was incredibly rude. She asked me 3 times if I wanted a gel manicure instead and grew angry and mean when I told her politely I just wanted the standard. She was incredibly rough even though I kept telling her she was hurting me. She went through so quickly air bubbles appeared on all the nails. One nail had random glitter on it because she used the wrong brush. I asked one of the ladies to redo the glitter nail, and she begrudgingly did. When I got the bill, I found that they had given us both the ‘specialty 45 $’ pedicure without asking. It was just a regular pedicure that smelled like milk and honey. I am still angry about this and wish I would have said something, but I felt really overwhelmed and anxious by the end of it and didn’t want to make a scene. I really hope they change their attitudes or stop getting business. This was truly the worst experience I have ever had at a salon.

After 3 visits I am done coming here. If you get an expensive pedicure for $ 40 or more they are wonderful and happy. If you get the classic pedicure for $ 25 they go as fast as they can and you can tell they are annoyed. I had to say classic 3 times and she kept asking me to get a more expensive option. I was happy friendly as could be and the pedicurist was still short with me. Convenient location but really disappointing that you can’t get a classic pedicure. My $ 25 experience was over in 15 minutes :(
2 stars bc once I got the champagne pedi and it was amazing and the girl was nice.
Also 20% off students is for high school students only. If you use a coupon they get clearly mad. Passive aggressive !! Eek! Pedicures are supposed to be fun and relaxing not confrontational.

I’ve been here several times with inconsistent service. After my service today, I will not be returning, and feel compelled let anyone who cares to know how they treat customers.
I paid for a $ 50 pedicure that includes a 20 minute reflexology foot massage. The nail tech gave me the regular foot massage that I always get and that last 8 minutes total. Yes, I timed it. It also was NOT a reflexology massage. When I questioned her about it, she claimed that she spent too much time on doing my feet, and once they spend an hour on your feet, they charge an hour!
I’ve spent an hour in there before and paid $ 35 and $ 45 for their different pedicures.
To top it off, I told her again that I was unhappy with my service and didn’t receive what the pedicure described. She blamed the fact that she «had» to spend more time on my feet. Huh? My feet didn’t even need that grater thing I saw them using on other peoples’ feet. I barely had calluses.
The manager stood there and said nothing to address the situation. I made it clear that I would not be returning.
They mislead you on their services and have zero customer service skills.

Big waste of time and money. This place is very nice and clean but the employees are rude and have no desire to do their job. My boyfriend and I went to get pedicures and manicures. I had shellac on my hands and feet, had it removed and replaced. They did it so quickly I was done in 45 minutes and the quality shows when I pointed out how sloppy it was done they told me to come back later because they were too busy to fix it. My shellac manicure didn’t even last 12 hours. The lady doing my pedicure did not want to do my pedicure. She did it as fast as she could, I had to ask her twice to trim down my nails and file them because she was kept skipping that step. She put lotion on the pumice stone and lightly applied the lotion as quick as she could.
I took my loss for time and money as a big lesson. I wrote this review so others wouldn’t have to learn this lesson the hard way.

Absolutely horrible. I got a gel manicure on Saturday. The lady butchered my cuticles to where multiple fingers had scabs. And the nails were very poorly done. Really think polish that was raised up on the end of the nail (almost looked like a little speed bump at the edge of each nail). Also, I had clear nail polish all over my finger tips to where my nail was glued to my skin under the edge. I had to go and remove it all myself. 3 days later and 6 out of 10 nails are chipped, and one completely peeled off. And they were gel! It’s suppose to last around 2 weeks. I went back today to get them redone and it was like pulling teeth to get it for free. They look slightly better, but don’t waste your money. 30 bucks is not worth the job they do. Not to mention as they were redoing my nails they were redoing another girls nails who originally had them done the day after I did. Just horrible.

Hands down (ha!) the WORST manicure/​pedicure I’ve ever had.
I had an acrylic set put on my nails & a simple pedicure.
The pedicure lasted about 15 minutes. My nails were short, but not in great shape. She asked if she should file or cut and I told her file. She filed ONE NAIL! Pedicures typically last me 3+ weeks. This one lasted a little over a week.
The acrylic set was TERRIBLE. If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would have. The nails were all different lengths, uneven across the top, & 2 chipped the same day. The polish color was uneven and smudgy.
If you don’t want to look like a 7 year old painted your nails, DO NOT GO!!!

I love this place. I live in Seattle now, but every time I visit my best girlfriend in Texas, I also visit Day Spa Nails. It’s right by her house and as soon as I tried it, I recommended it to her and now she loves it, too.
Clean, bright, cheerful. I don’t do manicures so can’t comment on that, but there pedicure and waxing services are supreme. Perfectly comfortable massage chairs for pedicure with an exensive menu. I really like the cucumber pedicure, which is so fresh and fun. I’ve had three or four different technicians — all have been professional, gentle and great at foot massage.
Their waxing room is private and comfortable, but one time they offered to do my eyebrow wax while my toes were drying. This was a nice bonus as I stayed comfortably in my chair until I was ready to leave.
Highly recommend!
