Weasku Inn Historic Resort

This was such a charming and wonderful Inn. The staff was very accommodating and fun! The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are very comfortable and cozy.
Love this place!!!

Amber greeted us with a warm smile and genuine hospitality that set the tone for a relaxing weekend at this charming resort. Every morning and every evening (don’t miss happy hour) we met new employees in the lodge… all were all friendly and attentive and made the stay that much more enjoyable. The cabin (#31) was clean, well appointed and full of rustic charm. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable with its own heat and opening windows to fit your exact temperature need. You could make a light meal of the happy hour food or enjoy it as hors d’oeuvres before you go to Rivers Edge for dinner. (3 miles down the road but highly recommended.) Even though it rained, and rained, and rained and rained, we enjoyed our stay. In nicer weather the porches and patios will be nice. Amber, Katlyn, Chantall, Karen and Kristine, we will be returning!
(an nice example of the thoughtful service: my wife and I were talking to another couple and mentioned we were there for our 20^th anniversary. A few minutes later Amber brought a envelope to our room. It was a «Happy Anniversary» card from the Weasku Inn.)

We had a great experience. The staff moved our reservation from another property and gave us a great rate on their best room. Also surprised us with a nice bottle of wine for our anniversary. Can’t wait to come back.

We would definitely stay here again.
Our cabin was very comfortable and cozy with a good bed, and a comfy couch in front of the fireplace and the deck overlooking the waterway. It was quiet and the staff was very helpful.
After checking in we enjoyed a glass of wine and evening Hors d’œuvre on the Lodge deck overlooking the well manicured grounds.
We were there to take part in Ride The Rogue Cycling Event. That meant that we were starting very early in the morning. The staff made sure there would be coffee and juice ready for us in the morning. We brought our favorite oatmeal and they even brought a microwave down to our room so we could make that before we started our ride. Thank you, Amber, Lea and the other person whose name I have forgotten.
For the other mornings we were given a menu the night before so we could choose what we would like to have delivered to our cabin or eat in the main lodge.
I appreciated that they had a nice quality of Shampoo, Gilchrist & Soames soaps and even the tea provided was a better brand than average.

We stayed in the A frame cabin. It was cozy and quaint:) it overlooks a path, some forest and the river. There is a path behind the cottages so you can walk along the river.
I loved this place! We stayed here in the fall /​the staff says it’s a lot more active in the summer. But we loved it.
Free wifi, parking, food — flat screen tv, fireplace, comfy beds — all the amenities but still all the ambiance of a cabin in the woods. Awesome.
They serve Buffett style breakfast (free) and had an ample selection considering there were not many patrons during the off season. They also have an appetizer hour in the evening — but I can’t comment on that as we did not partake.
The staff was extremely attentive and helpful.

This was fabulous! We loved everything about it. Amber graciously welcomed us, gave us a choice of which room (main lodge or cabin), and made dinner recommendations. We chose the cabin which was perfect and romantic. River stone fireplace, comfy bed, view of the Rogue River. A perfect experience! We want to return when it is warmer for rafting, etc.

On a long road trip from So Cal to the Seattle area we found ourselves passing through Grant’s Pass for a second time. Driving up we stayed at the Motel del Rogue (the review of which you can see on my page) coming back down we stayed at the Weasku.
I’ll be honest with you, this was one of the places I was not looking forward to and had thought about canceling a few times. It is fairly expensive and the photos of the rooms on their website made it look kind of cold and impersonal.
I was wrong. It was still expensive, but the photos are over lit to show room detail. We found the room to be very warm and comfortable with a lot of charm.
We checked in after a very long drive. You cannot drive up to your cabin, rather you must park in the lot and walk down the path. I thought this was going to be a pain in the ass as we were hauling two weeks worth of luggage, but the grounds provide a wagon which was large enough to haul all of our crap in one trip.
The grounds are BEAUTIFUL and very well maintained. The facility offers a selection of local (ish) wines at reasonable prices. We bought a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for about $ 24 which came to us chilled and in a bucket with ice.
In the afternoon they serve hors d’oeuvres on the deck of the main building with the option of purchasing beer or wine by the glass (or two… or three). We had pita bread pizza which was delicious and fruit and cheese (and wine) and sat and enjoyed the serenity. We then went back to our cabin and sat out on the little back deck and enjoyed our chilled bottle of wine. (Give me a break, it was a LONG drive!)
My only complaint, and this was not the fault of the establishment, was that sometime during the night the area was invaded by a skunk, or an army of skunks, and the odor made it impossible for either of us to sleep! I had to get up in the middle of the night and close all of the doors and windows and that wasn’t enough. It was so bad that since we weren’t sleeping anyway we decided to get up and get an extra early jump on the next leg of our journey and vacated our room before the sun had even started to rise.

This wonderful Inn was clearly our best place to day on our ten day road trip through Oregon! The location as well as the perfectly maintained Inn and grounds are remarkable. Everything was so clean, fresh and bright and recently upgraded. The mountain style, log cabin effect was perfect. This coupled with the most friendly staff and great food made for a perfect stay at a great value. They even had an evening snack and wine activity that was so nice. Breakfast was perfect and served until 11 am so you could sleep in. My wife and I loved it and we will be back very soon.

Absolutely amazing! ! The property is beautiful, the staff is awesome, and the rooms are very clean and cozy. I’ve never had such an great experience staying anywhere, friendliest staff that truly want to make you experience one to remember. Already planning our next trip back!

Do not stay in the manor house unless you have the place to yourself. Paper thin walls and loud neighbors kept is up all night. We might as well have been sleeping in the same room. Quite a terrible experience. I am usually an optimist, but this was a big let down.

First off, the staff is part of the experience. They are beyond helpful and genuinely want their guests to have a first rate experience while on and off the property.
The cabins are just unbelievable. King beds, nice size sofas, fireplaces… it’s like walking into what any homeowner would want as a master suite in their own home.
The property overall is very convenient to nearby Grants Pass or other places within driving distance like Crater Lake National Park. This will be our home base for the duration of our tour of southern Oregon.

Loved this spot. So relaxing. The staff were so helpful and sweet. Definitely recommend for romantic getaway! Breakfast was not the best, but after the first day we just went out. Still worth the price with purchasing breakfast elsewhere. It was all microwaved Costco fare. Their restaurant recommendation Rivers Edge was great! We will return.

Beautiful relaxing grounds to enjoy. River cabins with giant fireplace and very tastefully designed interior. This place is a gem. Listed in multiple magazines as a destination hotel. I’ll come here as often as I can. The staff is wonderful and always looking to please.

What a wonderful setting with historical warm ambience! We had a one night stay most comfortable at that in the Clark Gable room. A nice light breakfast on the deck was so pleasant and restful. Staff was friendly but invisible so you felt like you had privacy to enjoy the surroundings. It was also quiet and clean.

Incredible, historic, romantic place. I’ve stayed in the newer gorgeous cabins and in Gable’s room… Very special place.

Absolutely beyond our belief. Thank you to Michaela for the wonderful surprise when I mentioned that it was our anniversary in the delightful convo we had. We are hooked and will bring our kids back. Everything was beyond my expectations and I am a travel snob.

We had the great good fortune to stay at the Weasku Inn late afternoon after an all-​day stormy drive from Santa Cruz, CA. We discovered we were the only guests! Surely the weather & time of year had everything to do with that.
Staff were very friendly. Our room & bath upstairs in the inn was delightful, including the jacuzzi tub. Downstairs rooms large, warm, & comfortable. We enjoyed the late afternoon snack of fresh fruit & raw vegetables, also the evening chocolate cookies. Yes, we heard road noise (our room faced the road), but traffic died down before we slept.
Five things draw my rating down, all fixable:
1. Breakfast was pre-​processed Monsanto-​ingredient food, tasteless except for sugar & salt –rock hard scrambled eggs, microwaved bacon, reheated faux-​scones, jam made with high-​fructose corn syrup. Anomalously, the coffee was labeled «rainforest.»
2. The mattress was the hardest I’ve ever slept on.
3. The bedside lamps sit too low to be useful for reading in bed.
4. The toilet had a hard time flushing.
5. The shower adjustment was either too hot or too cold

We can not believe our great good fortune in finding this unique and charming place. What memories they created for us.
Zackie, the evrning hostess greeted us like old friends. Our cabin was spacious and beautiful, king bed, gas fireplace, all the modern comforts, in rich rustic setting.
Late aftrrnoon, delicious h’ordeuves, wine. Later, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. WOWIE!
During the evening «party,» Zackie regaled us with the amazing history of the place. Have her tell you about Clark Gable anf Carol Lombard.
NEXT MORNING, waffles. Biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, bagels, and more, under the caring hands of morning hostess, Edie.
THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL PRICE. AN AWESOME VALUE.
We didn’t meet Karen, who maintained the room in such top shape, but we appreciared her work.
THIS WAS A MAGNIFICENT. FIND AND I GIVE IT MY STRONGEST RECOMMENDATION.
Hard to imagine anyone being even slightly disappointed. Loved it all.

Charming B&B along Rogue River. We were greeted by very friendly innkeeper, Kirt who had just put out afternoon snacks for us.
We stayed at the ‘Clark Gable’ room which is located in the main building. It is cutely decorated with a pretty tall bed (I am 5′ 2″). Thoughtfully, a short little ladder is provided. :)
I noticed there are many other cabins behind the main buildings that look very nice.
Continental breakfast is quite average. I was hoping for a bit more ‘homemade’ touch.
Nevertheless, this is still a great B&B to stopover. I would stay again next time.

Modern comfort + historic ambiance + rustic appeal.
Yes, it’s the trifecta: that elusive intersection between well-​appointed in the style of a contemporary 4-​star hotel (fancy bathroom, quality bedding, recent furnishings), full of character like a small-​scale inn, and woodsy enough to feel in keeping with the natural setting.
Our room (actually half of a cabin; each cabin seems to hold two rooms) was almost a suite: a king-​size bed, a table and chairs, plus a sofa facing a large fireplace. The bathroom was ENORMOUS and very nicely finished (double sinks, huge counter, stone tiles). So cosy and delightful!
Best of all: the large private deck facing the river, with lovely wooden rocking chairs.
Breakfast was a good (but not gourmet) breakfast that went a bit beyond the standard continental options: in addition to scones, biscuits and gravy there were boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal and other options I’m probably forgetting. Since we were there in late July, we harvested one part of breakfast ourselves: a huge bowl of blackberries from the bushes that are abundant on this property.
The only downside to this Inn is the location: while you have a view of the river, you also enjoy the background sound of the highway. It’s not intrusive (city slicker that I am, I initially thought it was the sound of the river) but it’s a constant white noise. And the hotel is on a pretty unsightly strip at the edge of Grants Pass, though once you get to the property the ugly strip feels far removed.
If you’re going to be in Grants Pass, I can’t imagine a more delightful place to stay.
