Perfectly acceptable little clubhouse restaurant with a super cheap bar. Decent burgers. I had a Rueben here once, but I can’t say I’d order it again.

A gem of a restaurant. Lately everything I order is cooked to perfection. The decadent chocolate cake alone is worth the trip. They have blue moon beer on tap. The specials of prime rib and stuffed lobster were outstanding. I have found wait staff to be very friendly and helpful. Service can be slow when there is a large event going on.

Pretty avg to below avg bar food. Lots of things appear to come out of a microwave. Good selection of beer for the size of the venue but do not get your hopes up.

Well this was a very strange experience. Somehow we didn’t realize this restaurant is actually the golf course club house. Though there is a lovely dining room with a big fireplace, all the action takes place in the bar. In fact, while we ate in the bar, four guys at the bar were playing a poker game, 3 TVs showed different sports, and there were a few young kids(of the poker players or maybe kids of the staff) sort of hanging around the bar. I commend the owners for the varied and healthful options on the menu. There seem to be salads, and vegetarian options. My food was hot and attractively arranged. The glazed salmon was *okay* but I am skeptical that it was prepared on-site, and suspect it was a sous vide due to the texture and over-done-ness. I may be off there, and perhaps the solution is just that the chef needs to cook a minute less. The vegan carrot cake is amazing and you should totally go for it.

We found this country club restaurant off the beaten path on our way home from Killington, VT. The seating area was cozy and not too crowded, and the waitstaff was prompt and friendly. We started with the onion rings which were cooked perfectly. They were served with a creamy horseradish sauce which was delicious! We were there for lunch so we got French onion soup and a sandwich. The soup was filled with perfectly cooked onions, and topped with a swath of bubbly Swiss cheese. We split a grilled Reuben that was nicely filled with corned beef and a sweet tasting Sauerkraut. The sandwich came with choice of fries or a few other options, we chose the sweet potato fries which were just the right amount of crispy without being burnt! All in all we were very impressed with the quality of the food, fairness of the prices, and friendliness of the staff. We will most certainly go out of our way to visit this place again in the summer for some golf and a nice meal!

We have followed Bistro Nouveau since they operated out of an abandoned Pizza Hut in Claremont years ago. They are now situated on a golf course midway between Lake Sunapee and Hanover… and the food is still out of the ordinary. Their Wednesday night 2 for $ 38 specials are a delicious bargain! Last week my wife had the pecan crusted ahi tuna and I had Wild Boar with pasta. throw in a nice glass of wine and a choice of salads… and yummy — a delicious midweek delight. Not sure that Bistro Nouveau knows what it wants to be… they have live entertainment, beer specials etc… but when they get serious about the food… they have little equal in this area. Its a visually attractive place… a pleasant setting at the Eastman golf course… friendly efficient servers… part pub on one side/part restaurant on the other… together its an enjoyable experience!

Not a lot of selection in Grantham but the Bistro will fit the bill for casual dining or if you want the formal dining experience they can do that too. The pub side has a smaller bar with 4 – 5 beers on tap but the consistently good food makes a stop in Grantham worthwhile

I live right here in Eastman. I want this place to be good, but it isn’t. I’d love to be able to drive a half mile and enjoy a wonderful meal with my fellow friends and neighbors in Eastman, but the place has proven to be horrible time after time after time. To sum it up, we’re talking VERY slow service, cold food that is average at best, and very high prices. They say that value is a price/quality relationship. Bistro Nouveau is expensive for average or less food and very slow service. There is no value with this place and our only hope in Eastman is that they leave and someone that knows how to run a fine eating establishment moves in. If you eat at Bistro Nouveau and you pay big bucks for slow service and cold food, don’t blame me. You’ve been warned.

FABULOUS! The menu has a good variety. The chocolate decadence dessert is worth the trp by itself. Once a month they host a great vegetarian dinner. Wednesday is a special 2 for $ 35.00 meal. There are always special events. They are so good we had them cater our wedding.
