Great deals to be found– original pricing is a tad high, but the color of the week, and Saturday sales make it a fun place to shop. As others said, the maintenance of the store could be better– carpets are not the best. They are working on improving many things in the store. I could go without the staff yelling to each other from rows to rows, while clearing out on Mondays, but I enjoy shopping here.

Erroneously posted that there is a drop location at this location on their website, when there is, in fact, not a drop off location. Thanks for wasting my time Salvo. Going to drop it at Goodwill, despite my best intentions to have it go to a better cause. I would have waited if you didn’t post incorrect info.

My husband and I have visited this store several times over the past few years. We entered the store today to an appearance as if a E-F 5 tornado had struck. In every isle there were articles of dirt and clothing on the floor. We walked the entire store to this appearance. Unbelievable. No clerks were working to our preservation other than at the long check-out line. We will not be gong back. Must be poor store management.

Rude staff. No one said hello or smiled at me the last time I was in. Also, their carpets are dirty and full of filth.

What isn’t to love about the«Big S»? Always a bargain on something or some sort of sale for the day and it is constantly changing. The part I like the most is the mission, to help those in need with drug and alcohol rehabilitation, food, housing, and jobs. They do A LOT more than Goodwill in regards to helping. Goodwill just employs people and keeps the rest, that’s not charity, that’s just a business and the gas station down the road does that

If you’re looking for good thrifted clothing, this location is the best SalVal in the Grand Rapids area. Of course you have to check back often, but they have a TON of stuff. Since every week has a different color tag half off, it gives a good reason to keep coming in. I hardly ever leave without something, unless I am dead set on finding something very specific. Their expansive inventory is their biggest asset but can be exhausting to go through, so come prepared to shop. But you never know, you may find something great: I once left with a Michael Kors blazer for $ 3!

Oh Salvo… you made it happen. With only a few hours until a masquerade ball and nothing to show for myself, this household name saved the day! Not only did I find a smokin’ hot lil red number, I also found an AMAZING retro dress that will definitely make heads turn. one bone I have to pick with them is that they need more dressing rooms.
