History

Established in 2013.

Fortitude Computers was built to raise the bar for used computer stores. We started as a mobile business connecting people to reliable technology that they could trust to improve their lives.

We believed something about humanity: that people can build a better community when they are less distracted with error messages and more focused on pursuing their passions.

Early in the summer of 2015 we decided to open a store to help us serve more people. We moved in downtown to allow easier access for anyone in Grand Rapids.

Sometimes technology breaks. We understand that, but it shouldn’t be a regular recurring event on your calendar. This is why we work so hard to get repairs done right the first time. So, drop those discount repair shops like a bad habit and let us impress you.

Who knows what the future can hold for people when their computers and phones just keep working, and when repairs don’t take three trips to finish the job. We expect great things will happen!

Manager

I love working with computers, specifically Macs. I have been passionately learning about Macs since 2007 when I bought my first MacBook (still running great today). I’ve been repairing everything I can get my hands on since the 90’s.

In my spare time I enjoy learning about new tech gadgets and finding new ways to use old devices. That’s why I really care about refurbished computers. Finding new homes for great Macs that are tried and true gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I am not just a computer guy though. I care about building a better community here and around the world. Sometimes that starts with a simple phone repair. Sometimes it means meeting new people and going to new places. Learning about people is the best way to find out what this world really needs and what it really means to be human.
