History

Established in 2008.

Our company is family owned and operated. It all started when Forrest Perry was a wee little college student trying to pay the bills. He picked a job as a mover and quickly (some would say strangely) fell in love with the business. He worked his way through the ranks beginning as a helper, then moving to a driver, then trainer and manager. Well, college came and went, and Mr. Forrest had to choose a career path. With so many overwhelming options that a bright eyed college grad faces, the choice was simple for Forrest. He set his sites on Dallas, TX and big plans began to take shape in his mind. He was fortunate that his step-​dad, Richard was retiring around the same time after more than 30 years in the transportation industry and was on the prowl for new opportunity. The two men joined forces, and Welcome Home Moving Solutions was born. We’ve built an amazing crew and moved thousands of families all over Texas and the country! we feel so blessed to be a part of it all!

First, I’d like to say hello to everyone out there. If you’re reading this, then I’d like to thank you in advance to taking the time to do so. Bios can be a little difficult to write, because I don’t like to go on and on about how great I think I am! I’ll keep this short and sweet, and I’m an open book, so feel free to ask me anything. I’m from Alabama. I’m a product of the University of Alabama where I studied engineering. I’m also a proud member of Dove Community Church in Southlake, TX. I’ve just been honored to get to work with so many great people in this industry. This business is not for the desk job folks! I’m out and about all time meeting new people and most importantly, helping them. My job is to simply help people like you, and I look forward to getting up and doing just that everyday. A couple other bio «must haves» for you: I own a dog named Stella. I’m also a drummer when I’m not at work, and I typically don’t wear matching socks. That’s about it!
