Pollo Salsa

Ahhh, Pollo Salsa. I actually enjoy SOME of the food quite a lot (see below), but it’s soooo hard to order. At first, I just assumed it was a language barrier thing, but now I honestly think their ordering microphone/​speaker dealie might be messed up. Cuz my Spanish really isn’t the worst, I swear, AND they also couldn’t understand my dear Spanish-​speaking prometido when he was ordering last time either. But anyway, eventually they give up and tell you to come to the window, but both times so far that this has happened, they’ve been really friendly anyway.
As for the food, get beef instead of chicken! We didn’t like the food the first time we tried it because we got only chicken… it’s *Pollo* salsa so you’d think that would be the best, but it’s unfortunately been dry and bland. But this place is still totally worth it! I’m so glad my man got beef tacos on our second try, bc that’s what brought us back a third time.
Also, shout out to their funny sign out front this summer. It’s the entire reason we went back a second time after a bad first impression!

Came here with the craving of street tacos but was bummed out when I realized they were more of a Tex Mex style. So I decided to order the chicken crispy tacos along with the chicken quesadilla. Neither of them were out-​of-​this-​world, succulent dishes but the chicken was very savory. The rice and beans were definitely authentic, but not the best I’ve ever tasted. I ordered through drive thru and was prompted that it would take 15 minutes but the wait was only about 10. Fast and excellent service! I’d come again to try some different dishes though.

My wife worked at the Curves right behind this restaurant for years. I smelled it a lot of times but never tried it til last night. I ordered the 4 piece chicken. Was given 4 tortillas. Hot & fresh. and 4 cups for different types of salsa from their Salsa Bar. Food was simply outstanding! Chicken was the best I think I have ever tasted. just right spicy!

Great excellent atmosphere, good food, freshly made to your order. Eat outside on a nice day you will love it.

I came here to watch a soccer game on one of their TVs and try their grilled chicken, I love grilled chicken and this one didn’t disappoint me… they even have beer and margaritas! They have lots of salsas and desserts and their service and prices are good.

Overall good. I love the option of getting different sides. We had the charro beans and grilled veggies. We ordered some Mac for the kids! The chicken could have been a little fresher. You could tell it has great flavor but it was cooked earlier… You know when it’s fresh off the grill and it’s juicy well this one wasn’t. The veggies could have used a little more seasoning but the salsa bar helped with that. The salsas were awesome! The ladies were very nice too!

Everyone here is always so nice. I’m a taco critic coming from Cali where our street tacos are amazing. This is the closest thing I can find where their street taco game is RIGHT. I’ve gotten other platters from here like nachos & breakfast burritos and they were delicious. I love how you can see them grilling their chicken and their salsa bar. Reminds me of El Pollo Loco in Cali and they also have radishes! Reminds me of Ricos tacos also in Cali.

Restaurant staff was friendly and food was absolutely delicious! Great salsa bar. Outside eating area too. 2 for 1 beers on Saturday until 5 pm.

This place is my absolute favorite it is so nice clean and the tables are adorable on the patio I love them… The food is absolutely amazing they have drinks beer liquor margaritas… They have a salsa bar inside and each one is the bomb… This is like the best Mexican food restaurant by far around… I can’t believe more people don’t go to this place you’re missing out if you haven’t been!

Omg this was a good spot!!! My cuzin Courtney suggested this place and we met her and her husband Jose and the kids there and we agreed it was delicious!!! The fajitas tacos… Beef and chicken were very very good! The barbacoa was seasoned and very tender. My Lil cuzin had some el pastor that he said was very good! Courtney had the rotisserie style chicken that was well seasoned with rice and beans and the barachi beans and the rice was very good and seasoned… I also tried a crispy fajita taco and it was big and full of meat and cheese!!! Very tasty… I think we found another good Mexican food spot! Definitely a must try!

Prefer over the Reg*o Chicken place. Large amount of food. Salsa bar is pretty plentiful. Tortillias included. Sides are average, but the chicken is fantastic. About 7.99 –8.99 for a big lunch.

Food here is amazing… nothing like the «fast food» Mexican from Taco Cabana and Taco Bueno… the grill chicken is grilled to perfection, nice and juicy and full of flavor. The salsa bar is great too… has a nice spice to them.
I come here whenever I crave Mexican food …

For a Mexican food restaurant, Pollo Salsa is not very representative of true authentic mexican food. It is ok if you are just looking for a quick fix to fill you up but it is not as delicious as you would hope.

Really good food at reasonable prices. The chicken is marinated and grilled to juicy perfection. The choices in salsas and picante are excellent and not that weak sissy-​lala stuff you get at all those fake Mexican food places up here in the DFW. This is my new favorite lunch go-​to in the GP.

Love me some Mexican Chicken. Service is not awesome but the food more than makes up for it!

Darn I have been missing out on some REALLY GOOD Mexican food.
This gringo won’t be driving by anymore and not stopping for something to eat or drink :)

Well seasoned chicken. The skin is the best part. We usually go with our family when we’re craving a fast meal. The 12 piece meal is plenty for our family and we always leave full. Their assortment of salsa and condiments make the tacos taste so much better. We’ve never tried anything else on the menu, but we really like what we always get.
