This is a great place for lunch! Service is friendly, portions are generous, and food is really good. Also like the cute atmosphere and lots of great desserts to choose from. Recommend!

This is a family-run deli and bakery, which is in an ideal spot if you are on the bike/walking trail from Granby to Simsbury, or if you need breakfast on the way to work, or lunch midday. The owner, Jen, also made the wedding cupcakes for our daughter Rachel’s wedding in October 2015. The guests commented that the cupcakes were«out of this world»! They just melted in our mouths.

Right next to the Granby YMCA, and when my kids are done with their climbing class, we can literally walk nextdoor for an egg sandwich or a cupcake. The meatball sandwich is really a hamburger patty with marinara sauce on a bun. If you don’t mind(my son doesn’t), no big deal.

My wife and I were traveling from Kentucky with our baby so I got us a couple sandwitches and a salad for my wife to go. We got all the way back to where we were staying a couple towns away to discover hairs in my wife’s salad and a piece of tape with glitter and hair in her salad as well. It made her sick and me even sicker as I had already eaten my sandwitch. I’d skip this place or at the very least inspect your food carefully before consuming.

Best BLT I’ve had! They put a really great blue cheese sauce on it that is amazing. Staff is always pretty friendly, quick service. Don’t forget to get a pastry on your way out– the mini Boston crème pies are awesome.

Great little deli/country store. The staff is friendly and the food is great. I got the BLT and it was pretty good. There is seating if you want to dine in and there are benches outside for you to enjoy the sandwiches or salad. I would definitely recommend going there and I hope to be back when in the area.

The best breakfast sandwiches in the area! I don’t know where they get their sausage but it’s delicious. Have stopped by twice and was not disappointed. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable the Danish and baked goods are homemade and fresh.

I’m always in search for a deli where you feel your getting a deal and the food is yummy & fresh, well I finally found one! I got the turkey gone wild which was delicious!!! All the sammies are served with a huge pickle slice & a cookie, who can beat that?! It’s a great, clean country setting with pastries, coffee, beautiful porch; you can even borrow a bike to ride on the bike trail! I enjoyed sitting under the large trees at the picnic table and enjoying my meal and slowing down a bit. I’m looking forward to another visit soon, so happy Granby had a new addition!

Sandwiches are really great, cookies are amazing. I only give 3 stars for poor service. There’s no place to sit and eat and it takes forever for the food to be ready. I realize it’s made fresh and to order it the employees just move slow.

Nice new choice in an area that is lacking in choices. Deli case had good looking salads, like chicken salad and a pasta salad. Menu board had chili and sandwich specials. Bakery case was stocked with some awesome looking cupcakes and muffins. It’s 100% take-out only. I was thinking I could sit and decompress for lunch — but nope– nowhere to sit. I ordered a small container of the pasta salad which was tricolor rotini with peppers and olive slices and cubed cheese and salami. It was very good– tasty and filling for less than $ 4.I ate it in the parking lot. It’s a welcome addition to the area, that’s for sure.

This is a small country deli with a selection of sandwiches, soups, baked goods and a typical though limited array of country store accoutrements. They have some very good locally made beef jerky that comes very thinly sliced and in four different flavors. Green Mountain coffee from carafes is available if you’re in need of some joe. Not a bad place to occasionally stop into when driving by, but certainly not a destination worthy of a diversion.

I’m seriously a sucker for some homemade baked goods, and today was the perfect day for baking. I got it in my head after watching the Food Network that I wanted to bake some of G. Garvin’s «Touchdown Brownies», so I headed to the grocery store for ingredients. Needless to say, I didn’t quite make it to the grocery store when I finally noticed the«open» flag and the front door open at Peppermill Country Deli & Bakery! I hung a louis and stopped on in. At first glance, the building itself gives off a Cracker Barrel Country Store kinda vibe; cozy and welcoming. Still a new site, it needs to grow in to the lot, but the spring and summer months will help with that. Walking in, I was greeted with a friendly hello and was told all about what«she» has to offer as far as food and catering services were concerned.(I’m assuming«she» is the owner?) There are loads of food options, a case of cold foods; fruit salad, quiche, pasta salad and a case of baked goods. There are also dried pastas and sauces to buy, cookies and coffee. What also excited me was the fact that they sell Hosmer Mountain Soda, yum! I left with a chocolate chip cookie, which I’m surprised wasn’t as good as I’d hoped it would be. There was something missing as far as taste was concerned, it just didn’t have that mmmm factor you sometimes get when you bite in to a homemade cookie. It also had the consistency of a blondie. Along with the cookie, i bought a small maple scone, an apple Danish and a small red velvet cupcake. For those 4 things I paid over $ 10 which to me is a little pricey for what I got. Maybe I’m just used to the ginormous baked goods at whole foods! I can’t wait to try their breakfast sammys, as they promise everything is freshly made.

I was excited for a new breakfast option to open in the Simsbury/Granby area. It recently opened this month. It’s a grab ‘n’ go restaurant, which wasn’t what I was expecting from the large façade outside but, they had a decent selection of breakfast and lunch items along with homemade breads from Collinsville bakery and what looked like great desserts. We had an egg and cheese on a roll and an egg and cheese«cup» which was egg cheese and home-fries served in a Styrofoam cup, I wish they had ketchup and hot sauce dispensers/containers to use. The counter could benefit from an ordering system as it was pretty chaotic, but, that’s to be expected with a new local business. Overall, A-ok in my book, we’ll be back to try lunch! If they put some picnic tables outside for spring, I’m sure they’ll attract the local outdoor sports community(hint-hint).
