we are open Monday thru Saturday.

we don’t do repairs or sell you anything we just do clean and accurate smog test usually in 16 minutes or less while you wait. fast and friendly service.

The owner does all the jobs himself. He is nice and personable. Lots of fans to keep the area cool even on a hot summer day. We will return.
Address is listed on Chatsworth St. but you actually have to turn the corner on Encino Ave. to find the entrance.

Super friendly owner! I showed up at 0830 and was out in about 20 minutes! Enter on Encino and there is a parking lot with N&J signage. Easy and convenient!

I had my BMW smog check here recently. They honor their ad, charged $ 40 after $ 8.00 off (with a coupon). They were very efficient. I did not wait too long. After they passed the «inspection», certification were electronically transmitted to DMV. And I receive the sticker a week later.

Although the smog test station is small, there is a N&J parking lot if there is a wait. There was only one car ahead of me so it was pretty quick. Enter from Encino, not Chatsworth. I went to N&J for the second time and I’m glad I did. He accepted a competitor’s coupon which I asked about when I called. Mo is straight forward and I feel comfortable taking my car there. Most of all I like the fact that he is quick, efficient, and car is in plain view so customer knows what is being done.

Honest, fast, and reasonably priced. I have no complaints here.
I pulled in on a Friday afternoon and did not have to wait. I actually called ahead to see if there was a line, and he answered and said no. The entire process was quick and smooth. He was friendly and we chatted as he took care of everything.
It shouldn’t need to be said, but don’t call him up on hen phone asking if he’ll do illegal smog checks… Not only are you a moron for cold calling someone and asking that, all it does is piss him off.

The owner of N&J is the nicest guy. I’ve taken two of my cars to get smogged here. One didn’t pass and he didn’t charge me, and told me exactly what needed to be done to get it to pass. He smog checked another of my cars and it passed in fifteen minutes. All while being friendly and diligent. He has a big parking lot in the back, which makes it easy to access his shop. Thanks N&J!

Went to renew my license online and forgot that I needed a smog test. So I look up Unilocal,for a close shop near me and based on the reviews, I decided to go to N&J.
I called ahead to see what the wait time was and the man who picked up said that right now is good. So I drove over there and I pulled right on in; literally 30 seconds before somebody else.
Moe Z. took my paperwork. Had me fill out a small form and started plugging away at a computer.
I was out of there in less than 15 minutes with a passed test. Everything is done wirelessly and no pushing on the gas or putting a stick up the tail pipe to measure emissions. Talk about Technology!
Everything was sent wirelessly to the DMV and Moe said to wait 2 hours to pay for the DMV registration online as it takes about that long for the DMV to record it.
Will definitely come back here the next time a need a smog test and will recommend this place to my local friends as well!

Norbert apparently has sold the shop. Different owner. May very well do a good job, but I wouldn’t know. Price went up $ 30 for me from when Norbert had the shop, so I went to a different place where it was $ 20 less with free re-​test if necessary, which N&J now charges extra for.
Don’t intend to patronize this place again, as it is no longer cost-​effective for me; hence, I cannot recommend.

The dreaded smog check was upon me. I had no clue where to go so I ended up Unilocaling «Smog Test Only» and a few shops popped up near Northridge.
N&J had the best ratings + good reviews so I decided to pass by… I’m happy to report I didn’t make a bad choice (excuse me while I brush my shoulders off) :D I have NOTHING negative to say about my experience. I was in&out in less than 25 minutes.
The owner was really easy going. I provided basic info about my car (make/​model/​year) then me and my brother sat down while Mo ran the diagnostic test. My total was $ 48!!!
I now have my sticker and will be coming back here from now on!

Needed to get a Smog check quick, and it being Saturday really gave me doubt that I would find such a place. Then looking unto Unilocal for help, found N & J right down the block from me.
Saw most to all reviews were pretty good so just wanted to make sure and gave him a call before heading down and Mosy was honest, he said he had a guy ahead of me but wouldn’t be more than 5 – 10 min wait.
When I got there it was less than 5 mins the dude ahead of me was done.
the test actually took longer than usual and that was just due to the DMV doing those random long test. but it took 20 mins instead of 10mins type of long you know?
and I know that wasn’t Mosy’s fault.
they have chairs to sit on while you wait and everything was completed in much quicker time than i have experienced before. usually I am there almost a hour at most other places and this was way less than that.
this is a great place if you are in a hurry and they take cash, credit or check.
and just like others said 50 bucks and your out the door.
