This place is a little funky when you walk in but our server quickly won us over. He was exceedingly friendly and genuine. I had the eggs Benedict and they were great. The hollandaise sauce has some kick to it and was delicious. Good stuff!

Good food and friendly service. The ploye was thin like a crêpe but had a pancake like texture. It was very good and the prices are inexpensive.

After having spent the night in a ridiculously expensive ‘roach motel’ in Gorham, we needed to find a breakfast joint before tooling up to Mt. Washington. Good Unilocal reviews led us to this joint, and we’re glad we took the advice; thanks Unilocalers! THEROSES: Everything is made in house, and the quality runs from good to very good. It appears to be a family-run establishment, and all the staff is quite pleasant. Large, roomy dining space that features a large play area for restive kiddos. The big thing is the portion sizes; they are(cue Donald Trump voice) HUUUUUUUGE! I ordered a breakfast combo of eggs, hash, and french toast, and each came on a separate large platter!!! This was easily shareable between 2 and possibly three folks!!! On top of this, the prices are so low, I can’t figure out how they keep the lights on! The bill for the three of us was $ 18! THETHORNS: Service was occasionally hit-and-miss, but their good attitude trumped any hiccups in execution. THEVERDICT: Good homestyle breakfasts served in sumo-wrestler portions at ridiculously low prices. If you want a hearty New England ‘stick-to-your-ribs’ breakfast that will fortify you for a whole day of outdoor adventuring, this is the place for you!!!

Eggs that we got: boo boo Toast: boo boo Home fries: boo boo Atmosphere: boo boo Orange juice: delicious Also the service was good, but yeah only have breakfast here if you want to eat eggs that are more or less raw, soggy toast, and bland undercooked home fries(all served at best lukewarm if not outright cold) in a cavernous yet dark space that recalls a struggling pediatrician’s waiting room. Also we met a guy on the AT who said he got sick from eating here.

Visiting New Hampshire from New York for the first time. Came across this restaurant on my way to Mt. Washington Auto Road. The staff was very friendly! They serve amazing breakfast with huge portions. Definitely try the ployes(buck wheat pancakes). The owner was kind enough to have us taste a few before we ordered. Definitely recommend this place if in the area.

I stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning(8÷1÷15) around 815am and had the eggs benedict. Tasty and spicy, just like the staff indicated. Service and cleanliness was average. Staff was nice but the morning I visited they seemed understaffed and frantic — for not that many patrons. Prices were and on par with other breakfast joints in the area. The ambiance isn’t much and it looks like they’re turning it over from a previous pub. Given time, this place could be even better.

The best breakfast option in Gorham. Small, quality, locally-owned café. They just moved down from Berlin. Serving portions are huge. An omelette will feed two to three and the pancakes are gigantic. They started as a small coffee shop in Berlin. I think that with the increased business in Gorham that they will hire additional cooks and wait staff. I know that the owner is reluctant to hire anyone that doesn’t meet his high standards but he will eventually find them. Also the best value in town.

Breakfast was fantastic! Portions were HUGE and prices were NOT. The only negative(and it was minor, but necessary to not give 5 stars) was the service. There was a sign on the door that said there was only 1 cook, so they limited parties to 8 at busy times. That made us nervous going in that food would be really slow. We had 9, and were concerned(for a hot second) that we wouldn’t be welcomed, but we were. Food came quickly. While waiting though, another server started talking to us and told us to come early if we were planning on coming again because there is often a long wait on Sundays. Another pre-conceived service negative. Don’t discourage us!
