Nice little coffee shop tucked away off the main street(Washington) in Golden, back in a residential area. They do small batch bean roasting on site, out in plain view. I always get a latte when I go to a new place, as it offers an easy comparison with others. I’ll give this one(16 oz) an above average rating. One of the higher espresso-to-milk ratios I’ve had. If you’re planning to come with friends and sit and chat for a while, there is enough seating for 17 total. 2 tables of 4, 2 of 2, a small couch, and a bar for 3(See photo I posted). On a Saturday morning at 10AM there are no crowds to fight.

I was mistaken with my review of Bean Fosters in saying that they didn’t have a lot of competition because I completely forgot about Pangea. I’d actually been a couple times at the Golden Farmer’s Market and quite enjoyed it. So I went to the roasters for the very first time and it wasn’t a terrific experience. People complain sometimes that roasters seem more focused on the roasting than the coffee shop part of the business, and I can see that a bit here. I’m not offended, I just felt a tiny bit rushed(so I imagine people that don’t know what they want will feel that way). They had a Colombian medium roast! That is my favorite type of coffee in the universe. It was good, but not overly spectacular. No complaints on the coffee, they probably brew the best cup of Joe in the city. It was just an odd experience especially since it’s on a college campus but the demographic was older customers. Either way, best coffee in Golden.

Just what it says on the tin. Really excellent coffee, a few pieces of art for sale, and not much more. Do something and do it really well. If you’re in Golden and like coffee, there’s absolutely no reason not to stop in here.

Absolutely the best coffee shop and micro roaster(only one in Golden actually) in all of Golden! I’ve been a regular since they opened back in February of 2015 and haven’t been let down once The owners, Matt and Amanda, are very sweet but even more importantly know theit coffe! From the green coffee grape to the finished cup o joe in your hands, they have the experience and know how to please your palette, guaranteed! Stop by for a cup of drip, enjoy Mines Monday if you’re a student, or their punch card rewards program if you’re not, and simply soak in the low-key relaxed feel of Pangea! Only place to buy your fresh, hand-roasted beans!

Mediocre coffee roaster at a premium price. I was excited to try a roaster on our side of town but the blah beans will keep me frequenting roasters in Denver and Arvada. Good try.

Most excellent coffee. Wonderful outdoor garden to enjoy it in. Very friendly staff. When we were here, sitting in the garden, we met a wonderful dog named Piper, who had brought his humans in for coffee. If you want to know more about the coffee, they have a good listing on their website. They don’t over roast it. Just right. We enjoyed pour overs of the Kenya and Nicaragua. They both lived up to their descriptions.

I’m sitting on the comfy couch there now. And the atmosphere is fantastic. The building is out of the way and close to downtown at the same time. The outside of the building looks humble, but the inside is surprisingly nice. Tasteful colors and furniture give the place the perfect Colorado coffee roaster company vibe. There’s space aplenty for working on your laptop and there’s an outdoor area with neat seating options. The dude and lady who served me and made my coffee were friendly and informative and competent. I recommend it. Go there now.

Best atmosphere in Golden After moving to Colorado a week ago my adventure to Pangea was a great detraction. From the industrial spaces of most coffee shops in Denver and the suburbs. Getting lost twice due to google maps, I called the location and spoke to Amanda. Who happens to be one of the co-owners. Finding my way to the location, I met Amanda on the street looking for me. A Startbucks employee would never do that. Amanda invited me in and we started talking coffee and how long they have been in business. Showing me the 5 pound roaster, which was very small for how much business they seem to be doing. Offering me a pour over their papua new guinea the roast was on the dark side. As well the costa rica, was on the dark side city plus. And not what I personally expect from a cosa rica type coffee which is on the honey and molasses style of coffee. This coffee was more of a darker side of things but was an interesting experience. Pangea has great room to grow and turn the tides on über industrial coffee roasting experiences of people. With their investment in more specialty coffee and roasting techniques, hot milk lovers and us coffee snobs will truly have a home. Where most coffee roasters are not as warm hearted and inviting for those who are not coffee connoisseurs. Great work Amanda and the rest of the Pangea team.

Without a doubt, BESTCOFFEEINGOLDEN! I absolutely LOVELOVELOVE Pangea. Their coffee is jam packed with flavor. I typically get a latte to start off my day, and at the other coffee shops, I need to add an extra shot of espresso so that it’s not too watered down(milked down?) but it is not necessary at Pangea because their coffee is so good. They even have a punch card so you get your 13th cup of coffee for free. In addition, the people there are always extremely friendly. Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Golden!

The coffee was great, it has a great environment, and the owner was super friendly. I was in the Denver area visiting and just picked this coffee shop because of the good Unilocal reviews, and I’m really glad I did! The owner was at the counter and she chatted with us for a while about local places to visit and things to see in the area which was super helpful. So good!

How can you not give this place 5 stars? Find out for yourself! This is a brand new little coffee shop and retail store in Golden,-except Pangea isn’t all that brand new to Golden. If you frequent the Golden Farmer’s Markets or any number of local events, you’ve probably seen their trailer and maybe even tasted their delicious coffee. If you’re like me, you formed a small addiction to this delicious coffee and couldn’t be more thrilled to have this place open up. So I’ve already mentioned delicious coffee. How about the atmosphere? Adorable little place with a fantastic view of Golden near School of Mines. Tables, wifi, good music in the background, what’s not to like? They offer a varied selection of coffee drinks, lattes, and teas and a few fresh pastries if you’re hungry. Also outdoor seating in front or a cute little courtyard on the side. The owners are great and will be sure to greet you with a friendly smile or conversation. You can buy coffee beans and have them ground for you if you like. Also cool coffee gear, hand crafted art, and t shirts for sale! Check it out for yourself!

Wonderful brand new coffee shop with great views of Golden. Comfy and sunny areas inside and out. I walk in today being the first day they opened and got a free coffee! I will say I will be back for the coffee. Nice young couple, wish them best of luck.
