I’ve been bringing my car to Kenny for 7 years and he just lost my business. Very unprofessional and very wrong. Told me my motor was toast– not even close, he didn’t even look at it. It’s okay he’s replaceable.

If you have concerns that you are being overcharged and/​or you can’t trust mechanics, Cool Breeze is a breath of fresh air! Kenny is one of the most trustworthy mechanics/​business owners I know. Knowlegeable, great communication, honest, integrity, and more than reasonable pricing.
I have taken my Chevy, Dodge, Honda, Subaru, and Nissan there and have gotten great service and results every time. I recommend Cool Breeze to everyone I know and have gotten similar feedback from all of them.

I really hesitated leaving this review as I try to support businesses in Golden and understand things come up… but I just can’t skip over this while completing some of my reviews from this year. I was swore at and given the run around by Kenny. It was an extremely unpleasant and unprofessional experience and he ended up screwing up a light in my dash that had to be fixed by someone else! Would not and do not recommend.
I was originally recommended here to fix a wheel baring by another trusted automotive repair shop nearby who couldnt help with this job. I was told this could take a while but wasn’t in dire need to fix; I could still make my upcoming trip without fixing it. Being in the midst of some major life changing events, I called to find out if the car could be fixed between Monday — Friday the following week. I MUST have the car by Friday and will wait to have the job done if it didn’t work out.
He said it most likely wouldn’t be a problem, stop in Tuesday and he will look at it before he does any repairs. Great! Dropped it by, he was very kind and I was on my way. Got a phone call that afternoon with a rough estimate and was assured very confidently that this would be done Wednesday morning, maybe afternoon. «No problem, easy fix,» he tells me Awesome, right?
Wednesday came and I didn’t hear from him. I called before closing and he said it would have to be Thursday. I reminded him i really needed the car, and was assured Thursday would be no problem. Okay, that stinks since he said I would have my car back, but no big deal. Then, he calls me Thursday to say it’s now going to be the following week and the price of repair has more than doubled! I explained this was ridiculous and had made it very clear I needed my car back-​put it back together if you have to and I’ll take my business elsewhere. I get that was quite unrealistic but I was pretty upset!
Now the unprofessionalism really comes through. I am still in dismay how I was treated– a paying customer!
First he asks me how long my upcoming trip had been planned for, and that it was my fault bringing the car to him in this timing. He so rudely explained «You’ve known about the trip for how long, and the car needs to be fixed and now is on my a$$» REALLY? Real professional. It gets worse.
«Wait a minute lady, you think I want your car here on my lot? I’ve got a dozen cars lined up waiting now because of yours.» What a jerk.
He ended up getting the car put back together by Friday late afternoon, which only delayed our trip a couple hours. But my ABS censor light was on because he bought the wrong part for it he explained. He assured me he would get it fixed after my trip free of charge. Well, I waited and received no call. Finally called him and left a message; nothing. Called again probably 3 weeks later by now and left another message. He finally returned it saying he would order the part and get me the total. Yeah right dude. I had enough at this point and ended up getting the issue with the censor light fixed elsewhere. Kenny wasn’t about to receive another dime from me.
Not only was his demeanor rude but as a shop owner he should have been honest about the timing of this repair. I completely understand things come up, I do, but it’s his job to fix my car and be up front about the timing. It’s my job to call around and find a decent place to fix my car, and when I did my job he said he would have it within the week «no problem.» I shouldn’t have been blamed for his other repairs being backed up, how ridiculous! Certainly shouldn’t have been sworn at. He had no idea what was going on in my life and how much inconvenience he caused when he kept delaying the day on me. People plan around getting their vehicle back and I was no different!
Wish I didn’t have to leave a crummy review but he kinda dug his own grave with this one. I’ve never been treated so poorly as a paying customer! Hey, here’s two weeks worth of pay, thanks for cussing at me.

Kenny Rocks. I wish I hads 10 Kenny’s working for me in the Navy. He fixed my Thule rack system for no charge when a telephone pole was installed behind me while backing up. Hard working, honest, a fine American. Thanks Kenny.

I live way East of here and wouldn’t imagine going anywhere else. I thought my AC was shot and was planning on spending $ 500+ to get it back. My car is my office and it’s black with a black interior.
Much to my surprise, it just needed to be resealed and charged. It was a mere $ 170 and they had me out the door in an hour and a half.
Kenny is a good dude and does great work.

kenny is a stand up guy and will always let you know all of your options, even if they don’t make him money. i have brought my last two cars here (both clunkers) and he has always let me know what really needed to be done and what could wait or wasn’t vital. recently, my car needed more fixes than it’s worth so instead of taking my money he advised me that it might not be worth it to spend it on a 14 year old car. he’s definitely a person you can trust not to swindle you or talk you into repairs you don’t need. golden is a bit of a drive from denver, but it’s worth it in my opinion.
