if i could give this place NEGATIVE stars, i would. where do i start??? first, i made an appointment and they didn’t have it on the schedule when i showed up. secondly, when i made and apt a few weeks later THEY WOULDN’T HONOR MY GROUPON!!! i bought a groupon for an IPL facial because my sister and mother went there, but they’re saying i’m not a candidate for IPL because i’m east indian… but my TWIN sister had one there and my mother? REALLY??? i am now jumping through hoops to get my money back from groupon. also, the techs have no clue what kind of laser theyre using etc, yet u have to have a lengthy consultation with them where they try to sell u a $ 150 silk peel that’s BULLSHIT. save yourself the headache and STAY AWAY!!!

This place is absolutely horrible save your $!!! I got the groupon for the ipl and they made me do a consultation before the actual ipl. Why u ask? Because they’re trying to sell u a silk peel for 150 after your ipl. Also the woman that did the consultation was a total moron. When I asked her what kind of laser they used she had no idea. Really??? This is your job and you know nothing about it you’re an idiot. The ipl itself was ok, Kimberly is a sweetheart. Which is why my sister bought the groupon just recently but she’s having issues too now — they won’t honor her groupon for the ipl because they say her skin is too dark never mind the fact that we are twins and they did it for me. ??? Like I said, save your money this place is not worth it. The front desk receptionists are completely unorganized and have no idea what they’re doing either btw.

Wow. So glad I found these two other reviews prior to buying the Groupon currently online in the Sacramento area 1÷13÷2013. I wasn’t sure what the catch was with the Groupon price, and I tried to call to find out in advance how far out appointments were, but I can’t even get a live person on the phone after 9:30 am with the 3 times I have called.
So I can’t attest to service other than nobody even answered the phone multiple times and that spooked me from the Groupon. So glad for sites like Unilocal to share insight!

My first experience at SHS was when I purchased the groupon for the IPL treatment. I live pretty far away, however my friend has been going there for a while now and convinced me it was worth the drive. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted right away from the girls at the front desk, offered me water, got me started on the paperwork, ect. The other thing I was pleasantly surprised by was how they didn’t carry on a conversation with each other in front of me or check their phones (My biggest pet pev) The office is so elegantly decorated, I felt so comfortable, by how genuinely friendly everyone was. It was more like visiting a friend at their house. After completing the paperwork I was introduced to Kimberly to discuss the procedure, answer questions and go over my information. She was such a doll!!! I didn’t feel rushed or bad for ALL the questions I asked that poor girl. She introduced me to the RN who would be doing my procedure, showed her the areas I was most concerned with and made sure the current products I was using on my skin were pharmaceutical grade. I decided at my age, with the years of sun damage I would also do the silkpeel too. I am soooo glad I did, Wow after one IPL and one silkpeel I have had a handful of people compliment me on my skin. Oh course they didn’t know I had these treatments done. Also there was no discomfort at all. It was actually relaxing lying there. I would definitely recommend Smart Healthcare without hesitation.

I have never written a complaint, but this was a very horrible experience. I know these people have long days, but hey you choose that job not me!
My ‘Consultation’ was at 4 pm. They finally saw me at 4:30 or later. I can’t remember. The nurse was either kim or Kelly.
I bought the groupon for $ 199. I filled out the forms and was told of the Silk peel ($ 120 each, looks like they recommend two) which I was surprise but I figured I should just buy the first one and see how my skin reacted. I didn’t mentioned this to her this yet.
We started setting up my first IPL. The lady told me I couldn’t exercise afterwards, so I told her we need to reschedule because that day I had training, so she ask me do you want to do it in the morning? I reply by saying ‘You just told me, I can’t exercise’ so we continue looking for another day.
We finally were able to find a day. Then she tried scheduling the Silk peel. She said ‘Do you want to get the silk peel done here?” To me it meant there was another facility to get it done. So I ask about if there was another place to get it done. She started giving attitude and said ‘I don’t know anyone else that does it, do you want it’. Obviously, I decline due to her attitude. oohh she didn’t like it.
She said «Ok you’re done» so I gather my things and said ‘Thank you’
I almost didn’t think she was going to greet me afterwards and with a very sarcastic loud tone of voice she said ‘You’re welcome’
I walked out wishing I could get my money back!!!

I’m usually one not to complain as I too run a business, but today was not a good day for poor service or asking me to pay for a service I haven’t even received when I came in to use a Groupon I already paid $ 199 for.
I’m extremely turned off by SmartHealth Care Solutions in Gold River, CA. First and foremost, I scheduled an appointment (unfortunately it wasn’t a treatment appointment it was a «CONSULTATION» which wasn’t even a consultation by any means) last week and never received a confirmation call (this usually happens the day before any beauty industry appt). I found myself calling this morning to make sure I didn’t waste my time driving out to Gold River for an appointment I didn’t have. The girl who answered the phone was pleasant and apologetic, however; blamed it on nurse who was responsible for confirming appointments yesterday (not good customer service if you ask me
My appointment was scheduled for 3:30p so I arrived to SmartHealth Care Solutions a little before 3:00p (so I wouldn’t have to wait and could be seen right at 3:30p). I was finally seen by 4:15p; 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I should’ve rescheduled, but I didn’t want to drive back out there for an unnecessary «consultation» appointment. Unfortunately my appointment wasn’t for treatment it was a «CONSULTATION» appointment which wasn’t even a consultation by any means. I initialed a few forms and then was told I needed to have a Silk Peel done in between my IPL treatments (OK, right!!!). Each treatment would cost me $ 120. Then we went to set up my appointments, which we scheduled as I plugged the first one into my phone waiting for the next one to be scheduled, when Kimberly Grant, the patient consultant picked up her cell phone and was looking at it while I waited for her to finish her personal text/​email. She then asked ME what day my appointment was scheduled for and the time, really we just did this and after waiting over an hour to sit there and wait longer I should’ve just walked out at that point and ate the $ 199 groupon.
At that point we finished scheduling my appointments, IPL and Silk Peel when I was asked how I would like to pay for this, WHAT? Pay for what, a service I haven’t even received. I pre-​paid for my Groupon and now you are asking me to pay $ 240 for the Silk Peels. I wouldn’t have been so turned off if this information was presented to me at the time of booking the appointment. I let Kimberly know I was not expecting to pay anything today and that this information should be mentioned when we call in. She did say I could pay for the treatments when I come in for my IPL treatments, but the more and more I think about it, I don’t want to come in at all or use their service at all because of the first impression that has made a lasting BAD impression on me.
