I’ve been a patient for years. The staff is excellent and Dr. Palmer Lee is the best. They use the latest technology and explain the each step of the procedure. Highly recommend!

I was very impressed with their knowledge, technology, and service.
The VA at Mather couldn’t take me, so they referred me to them.
I got the retinal scan, prescription, and good ideas on next set of glasses and contacts. I haven’t worn contacts in 15 years out of concerns how it makes my eyes feel.
Ask for Palmer Lee and Trish Locey.
Now I’m off to ride 100 miles up at Lake Tahoe!

The optometrist is great but the contacts and eyeglasses are way overpriced. If you have the patience buy them online. They charge your insurance double so you pay half. This is my opinion of the service I received.

Clean, modern, tasteful office. Courteous and smiling staff. Amiable and professional doctor (mine is Doctor Coen).

All of the ladies were super friendly and really knowledgeable and walked me through all the exam steps. When it came to picking out frames it seemed like my «stylist» actually really cared that I looked good, and let me tell you I look pretty darn good now!

Would highly recommend Dr. Palmer Lee. He was able to help when two times to another optometrist just didn’t get the «new» eye prescription right. Dr. Lee carefully examined my old and new lenses and found a real difference. I got the new lenses today and they were perfect. So good to have great vision again. And thank you VSP for taking care of me in this situation where I needed the referral to Dr. Lee for a second exam. It was the right decision and glad VSP has a make it right insurance program.

I having been going Eyecenter Optometric for several years and implicitly recommend it! Dr. Coen is amazing… he is friendly and knowledgeable. He not only examined my eyes, but took the time to explain everything, such as why I tilt my head, why I need progressive lenses, and my astigmatism. He also took the time to personally fit me with frames and explained why certain ones worked for me other would not. I FINALLY understand the process! Thank you Eyecenter Optometric. The eye center is great, I have been going to them for over 20 years! All 3 locations have wonderful staff that are friendly and helpful! They have a huge selection of frames to choose from and they will make sure you find one that compliments your face!

The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Their amazing service begins as soon as you walk in and continues with every interaction until you leave. Dr. Lee is very welcoming, engaging, and thorough. He makes you feel like you’re his only appointment that day.

I’ve been to EYEcenter in Gold River 4 times staring in 2012 and have had really good experiences each time. You get a thorough examination, including looking for signs of more serious medical issues with your eyes — not just what your contact lens or eyeglass prescription is. They have a large selection of frames (well over 500) in stock, and the doctor /​staff has always been helpful & friendly. You can receive and confirm appointment reminders by text message — very convenient. They are also investing in their business — the office got a full makeover recently. Highly recommended!

Had a referral to the EYEcenter Optometric and was surprised with the friendly and knowledgeable staff as well as high tech modern equipment used for my eyes. Didn’t even have to get my eyes dilated any more. Dr Coen was professional and courteous. My prescription did not change but I felt comfortable with the results. Thanks for a job well done!

My wife has been a patient of Doctor Lee’s for many years (over a decade I think!). She & I were married last year & we now share the same eye care coverage.
I had my first visit with Doctor Lee on Friday the 25^th. I have to say that the experience with not just the Doctor but, the entire staff was outstanding. Everyone was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, professional & supportive. The selection of eye frames, sunglasses & the like @ the EYEcenter Optometry Office is absolutely phenomenal!!!
Doctor Lee has an awesome patient interaction style. He took the time to explain my photographs & examination results, worked with me regarding helping me decide if I needed to start wearing glasses or not. He also did a great job of explaining the types of lenses available to me & what the pros & cons of each option would be. It was almost like having the same conversation with a close friend. I see now why my wife continues to come back to see him every year even though we live 30 miles away in Roseville.
Now that I’ve also had the experience of meeting Doctor Lee, I have no doubt that I also will
return again next year.& the next…& the next.

Dr. Coen is thorough and professional. He and his staff are kind and so helpful. They honor their warranties and provide service above and beyond. Highly recommend. Terrific selection of frames too.

This is my review for trying to schedule an appointment & my past experience:
PAST EXPERIENCE:
–I went there a little over a year ago and my experience was about 2.5 stars. The only reason why I chose this location was the selection of frames they offer. I wear glasses and contacts so I requested a prescription for my glasses (and I needed new ones), but asked the optometrist if I could have a prescription for my contacts (still had a box left and wasn’t in need or ordering any time soon). He simply wrote a prescription and sent me to the area where their frames were displayed.
–I tried on a few frames, finally chose one and paid off what I owed.
–Since it was back in December, my glasses were going to take longer than expected due to it being the end of the year and around holiday season. I was told that I would receive a call from them when the frames were ready (quoted me about 1.5 weeks)
–2 weeks went by and New Years approaching and still not a word about my frames. I called and they said it would be ready by the end of the week.
–I showed up and was told my frames were ready but then they stated I had to pay for my contacts consultation. Mind you, I was charged for the visit prior to leaving my first appointment, then they stated that I owe MORE MONEY when the optometrist didn’t even do a contact fitting. I simply asked him if he can write me a prescription for contacts and told him I wear this brand. All he had to do was write on a little piece of paper which cost me $ 40 extra.
THIS WEEK:
–I have new vision insurance and found that EYEcenter Optometric was under my network providers. I was skeptical to schedule an appointment, but remembered the nice lady who helped prep my eye exam.
–I called on Monday and left a voicemail stating I’ve been to their location before, but haven’t been in about a year and would like an eye exam.
–I call Wednesday and leave ANOTHER VOICEMAIL
–I found another provider that’s actually CLOSER to my work. Opto Care Sac picked up their phones within two rings, scheduled an appointment and suggested to fill out the new patient form (located on their website) which took less than 10 minutes.
WILL I RECOMMEND EYEcenter Optometric off on Sunrise?
HECCCCKKKKK NOOOOOOOO!!! I’m all about customer service and this place does not meet standards.

THIS is how you run a practice!
Dr. Lee is awesome! After completing my eye exam, he presented me with several options and told that I didn’t need what my ‘other’ eye doctor was trying to prescribe. It was a TRUE doctor/​patient consultation.
After I selected the route I would go, I met Terri in the dispensary. A true RETAIL experience. Beautiful frames presented in a very upscale setting. I tried on several pair, and instead of Terri trying to upsell me into something more expensive, she was honest about what shapes and styles worked for my face and which ones didn’t.
I selected a really nice pair of CK frames. She walked me through all my finishing options, navigated through a couple of insurance hiccups, and now I can’t wait for my CKs to get in!
I’ve found my eye doctor. Can’t wait until January when I can use my benefits again!

Their optical selection is ON POINT. I can only get certain brands of glasses with my insurance and since I’m snooty and like the expensive ones, I had to find an office that carried what I like… and this was it. I called them to see if they had the style I wanted in stock and how much they were. They didn’t have them, but the optician said she could order them for me and when she told me the price, it was great! No huge markup like I’ve seen in other areas (*ahem* Folsom), so I had her order them for me. About a week later, they were in and I went to pick them up. The office is SO nice. It’s all glamorous and modern and right up my alley. They had a ton of eyeglasses and sunglasses on display, and since I looooove sunglasses, I could appreciate this very much. It took just a few minutes for the optician to fit me with my brand spankin’ new sunglasses and I was on my way. The whole thing was so easy that I will definitely be going back to them next year when I can get another pair of sunglasses.

I had my exam with Dr. Lee, this was my first time seeing an eye doctor in quite some time. Their equipment is all up to date, the office is very clean and welcoming. They also have a large selection of frames to choose from. The exam was a little longer than expected, I was on my lunch break. The staff was very helpful. When picking out my glasses, they took me straight over to the most expensive frames they offered. That was a little annoying but after telling them I wanted to stay right around what my insurance allowed, they gave me a very large selection to choose from. I left there very happy. They told me two weeks for my glasses to come in and they were right on time. I would recommend them to others.

We had to leave Dr. Lee a few years ago because of our insurance plan. We miss him very much. However, the glasses my husband had purchased there about 5 years ago needed an adjustment. He went in and Teri willingly adjusted them at no charge. When my husband came home, he said they were so nice and Teri said she would give him a good price on replacement glasses when he was ready. So yesterday we got his new prescription and Teri helped him select two new pair of glasses and myself a pair of sunglasses. We just had such a good time, she was really good and honest about helping us select the perfect frames. She explained all of the components of the lenses very clearly as well. She also extended an AARP discount on the glasses. It was a great experience and we’ll look very cool in our new glasses.
