We were looking for a super authentic Mexican restaurant open on Sunday in or around Globe and this little joint came highly recommended. It was just what we were looking for! Shredded beef tacos were amazing, enchiladas, rice beans, and oh the salsa! I even loved the way they cut the chips in strips! Perfection. Don’t expect any bells and whistles, just good Mexican food!

Got to be one of our favorite finds! Tiny but the food is awesome! We love to go here for breakfast. My husband enjoys their chorizo plate. I on the other hand keep ordering the Huevos Rancheros with Green Chilis. Usually we also get a couple burros to go since we don’t live close by. Fantastic Food! Thank Goodness they opened back up… a few times we were there they were closed for remodeling. Its always full of patrons,. which says alot for its business!

I’m looking for a great Mexican Restaurant in Globe, AZ. When I click on the menu for Elranchito, I get a complete, with prices, Italiian menu. What’s up with this?

Great food. Small places are the best when it comes to Mexican Food. Salsa was great! Recommend if your passing through!

I LOVE their salsa!!! This place is so good. I always get the green chilli burro and is awesome!!! It’s a small place but the service is great and fast. You can take salsa home for $ 3.50, $ 5, and $ 7. I travel an hour and twenty minutes to eat here every time. Love it!!!

There’s a lot of great Mexican/southwestern food in the area so I’m not going to say it was the best, but it was really good. Cracked open my green chili enchilada and found steaming hot chili’s, chunks of quality meat, and fresh cooked vegetables.

Great Salsa, Friendly Servers, Poor Atmosphere, Mediocre Food. Atmosphere/Décor. — Many inexpensive Mexican restaurants skimp on the décor, but often the food makes up for it, sadly this is not the case at Elranchito. The wife’s menu had salsa and an empty sugar packet in it. A tub of dirty dishes stood by the register while the waitress stood by it looking bored. The unisex restroom had toilet paper and paper towels on the floor. Worst of all though was a loud mechanical sound every few minutes, which the waitress said was the cook making fresh salsa in the back — must have been a 50 horsepower blender! Not something they should be doing during the lunch hour. Food. — The salsa was very, very good with a nice heat and good dose of cilantro! Our Carne Asada Burritos with red enchilada sauce($ 5) were OK, but they had guacamole and Pico de gallo inside them, which we like — but they were both cold making for an unpleasant bite. Had the guac and pico been at room temperature when the burrito was assembled it would have made a big difference! My side order of fried jalapenos($ 1) with salt and lime were OK — but they had obviously been cooked some time ago as they were limp and not hot. Service. — Our waitress was very friendly, but management needs to crack the whip to get the wait staff to clean the place up! We won’t be back.

Every Saturday and Sunday they serve menudo. If you like menudo, get it! It is great, as is everything else I have had there. The salsa is delicious! I always get a tub to go!

We were up in Globe for a little antiquing and treasure hunting from the east valley on Sunday and stopped in for lunch after reading the Unilocal reviews. I’ve been in Az for most of my life and eaten a lot of Mexican food and I have to say hands down some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Next week I’ll be making the drive for the food. This place is totally worth the gas!

Tiny place with great food! I got a shredded beef chimichanga that was so delicious! There were four in our group and everyone enjoyed their meal. They would have gotten a 5 star rating but they were out of carne asada. How does a Mex restaurant run out of that?!

Gross, meat on the huevos rancheros, eggs way too runny. Tasteless rice. The salsa was surprisingly good, I used it to cover everything. Has the best reviews in town, makes me really worried about the rest of the places.

While on a business trip to Globe, a co-worker and I had the urge for some good Mexican food. A police officer we met recommended El Ranchito on Broad Street, which is the main street in downtown Globe. Wow, what an excellent choice. I had a red chili beef burrito and it was the best! My dinner, with a bottle of domestic beer and including the tip came to a little over 8 dollars. Incredible! If you find yourself in Globe, and you are a fan of Mexican food, you have to eat at El Ranchito. It’s the best Mexican food east of Phoenix. One interesting tidbit about this place is they serve everything on a small plastic Tupperware type cart. Unusual but unique. It gives the place its character.
