I love Pier 1 but have decided not to shop at this location. The manager is so defensive when mistakes are made vs being helpful. She whines about the distribution center instead of resolving issues. I called the Niles location and the person was extremely helpful locating the item I was in need of. That information was never given to me at Glenview! Customer service is everything and this location has issues.

I have been to this Pier 1 in pursuit of décor on numerous occasions. I have yet to be asked if I need assistance. I also feel that unlike most of the other Pier 1 stores I have been to, this one doesn’t spend as much time with their displays. During xmas it was a bit better but as of late, I have seen very little work to draw customers in. Usually, as you walk in, you get a clear feeling for the seasonal stuff they are trying to sell. But not here. It is as if you walked into the side of the shop, rather than the front.
I hope they do a bit better as I wouldn’t want to see it leave the area… obviously for my own convenience.
