Specialties
I offer private piano lessons and/or flute lessons to students of all ages (4 — adult), both beginner and advanced. I design individualized lesson plans for every student and I enjoy teaching all genres of music including (but not limited) to: Classical, Pop, Rock, and Jazz music.
History
Established in 2002.
I began my teaching studio in Glenview, IL as a current music student having only a small handful of students. Over the years, I’ve had to relocate twice (to Chicago, IL and Iowa City, IA), due to my musical studies. In May 2013, I reestablished my permanent studio in Glenview, IL and currently have a steadily growing music studio.

Alysia began her musical studies, playing the violin, when she was 7 years old. When she turned 9, she also took on the flute and piano, both of which became her primary instruments. She holds a Bachelor of Musical Arts Degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts (Roosevelt University) and a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa. She enjoys playing a wide variety of music, ranging from Classical to Video Game Music.
Over the years, Alysia has participated in various musical ensembles such as high school marching band (flute section leader), symphonic band (principal flautist + piccolo player), symphony orchestra (principal piccolo player), chamber music groups, and university chorus. She has also had opportunities to be a part of intensive summer music programs abroad (for piano and flute) during her middle school years in Osaka, Japan and, later during her university studies, in Vienna, Austria.
