I have been to this location while it was under three different managments. This is by far the best. When it was an all you can eat place, the quality was less. The two young ladies that run the dining area are sweet, consciencous, and on the ball. The food is fresh, beautifully displayed and a good price. Three times the charm! We have become regulars and look forward to our dinners there whether with the whole family or just the two of us. While it is not high end décor, the food is truly tasty, the service excellent and that is what matters.

Been going before it was under new management and it was AYCE… although not AYCE, their portions are good… the rice holds well. and is pretty quick getting the food out… this is our go to sushi… also when you check in. You get some free sake… will keep going here as the family loves this place.

Today my husband(Mark) and I ate lunch at the most incredible restaurant called Irene’s Café and Bakery… They are located in the heart of Glendora. This restaurant or café as they call it was AMAZING… the food was magnificent with all of the flavors you dream of when you order. The resteraunt cuisine is of American and Greek Food. No Pre-Fab Food There /The Bakery is to Die For… You will Not Go Wrong if you try this lovely Café and Bakery. The server’s supported each other, waiting time was minimal, and the ambiance was breath taking. Shout out to Irene the owner… your so priceless keep this spirit up, and to Morfia you are an amazing Lady… My husband really enjoyed you, and believe as I write this review that is the most Highest Compliment since my husband is quite picky… LOL. Thanks Again, The Scott’s will be permeant regular customer’s there. Great Regards, Mark and Maria Scott

LOVE this place! I have been to all of the sushi places in the area and this one has the freshest sushi at very reasonable prices. Great lunch combinations. I also like the avocado ball. The staff is very friendly. They are in the strip mall next to Petrillos’s pizza.

Wonderful … so wonderful!!! The owner came out and took our order and everything was fresh and delicious. The sushi and sashimi were fabulous. We went for lunch. Now we want to go back to Sanyo Sushi for dinner too!

My wife and i were very surprised not only by the style of the atmosphere but more importantly the sushi was absolutely delicious. Then to top it off the check was prised very competitively, it was worth more then we paid… Located right next door to Petrillo’s… It’s the best sushi place in the area by far

Good food, nice people! We are now regulars — I eat the raw stuff, but my wife eats the California roll and she swears it tastes better than the other places. They even have agadashi tofu, which you don’t find everywhere.

MYNEWLOCALSUSHISPOT! Loved everything about this place! Food, service, prices, parking are all on point imo. We got the spicy tuna on crispy rice(which was my fave), the Glendora roll and the Sanyo roll. All were really tasty, fresh and light. Will def go back here again and again.

The husband and I made a quick stop here for some sushi. There was thankfully no wait back when it was AYCE. We had the crispy rice, salmon, yellow tail, the blossom, eel and cheetos. The crispy rice was good, we ordered it twice. It’s just crispy rice with some spicy tuna on top. That was probably the best thing we tried out of their menu. The yellow tail was decent and the salmon was good. Both were super fresh and had no fishy taste and no fishy smell to it. The rice to fish ratio was not too bad. The baked lobster roll was ok. Nothing special out of it. The saw with it was a bit funky for me and there wasn’t much lobster on it to go with each sushi piece. The cheetos sushi roll was funky but not too bad. The blossom was interesting. It was a crab wrapped with salmon. Alaskan was normal, nothing stood out of it other than the salmon pieces being decent and nicely sitting on top. I wish it had a bit more flavor in there though. Decent sushi place but nothing that would make it stand out. Service was ok, food was ok.

Normally I would have given this place 4 stars, but management has changed. They used to have all you can eat, it was one of the reasons we first decided to try this spot out. I was quite disappointed to sit down, order my drinks and plan my dinner only to have to realize there was no longer AYCE. Decided to give it a try anyways. Food was still good, but not as good as it used to be. Was very disappointed that my favorite sushi place just became and average sushi joint. While the staff was very nice, they stared at my table the entire time I was there(we were the only table there). I felt like I was guilty of a crime or something and made my meal very awkward. I probably would no longer recommend this place as a must-try, but rather as a last resort :(

Early Christmas Eve and I was just getting off from work in the early afternoon — i was starving for whatever reason… I googled the closest sushi spots and came up with a couple that were in close proximity. The first one was closed(rightly so, since it was Christmas Eve), so next up was one across the way and over which was Sanyo. Great choice and stop! Service is great and super friendly host Carol and Chef Felix(he gets me). Fish is fresh and a good assortment to choose from that you can’t go wrong here. Chef recommended a seared garlic and jalapeño tuna with fried onions — oh yeah, so good! There was also a fusion of fish on the menu which i did try which was called Venice. You have to go in and try it and the others. It’s difficult to describe the party in your mouth goodness from the flavors of the fish all in a bite or 2 or 3 or 4 actually. I’m fairly simple just some sushi — salmon, salmon belly, eel… and I’m good. Chef can make some excellent recommendations, so let him know what you’re craving. I’ve not tried the rolls, but I will soon enough. The spicy endgame can catch some heat, so you might want to keep that sake close by. You have to take advantage of the complimentary ice cream — I love green tea ice cream! I’ve been here twice already in a week and a half span. I may go back tomorrow after writing this review LOL! I obviously will recommend this sushi spot and not hesitate to return for some sushi goodness!

Amazing service, and every single roll we had was amazing! Not to mention all the great goodies they gave us! Will definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommended! Jojo was very attentive, and kind! We even had their ice cream, and that was delicious!

This place has surprisingly decent sushi! Not a great selection but AYCE is still a good variety. It feels like spicy tuna is in absolutely everything and the sashimi choices are few and far between. I will say that it’s a good ratio of fish to rice in these cases though. The service is very iffy and they dropped off at least 2 – 3 items that we didn’t order. When we let them know they insisted and then checked and took it away… I hope they didn’t just re-serve it! The items take FOREVER to come out so be prepared to be patient and be sure you don’t come here for a quick meal or an awkward date… They definitely get you on the liquor prices. Anyways, the rabbit, blossom, and the Jessica albacore were my favorites! Fresh fish, slow service, ok selection for ayce.

Nobody really here on a Sunday afternoon, quick seating and lightning quick service. Food came in just as fast. Salmon was a bit sub-par, yellow tail was surprisingly good(usually the other way around). For once, I wish there was a bit more fish on the bite(again, usually the other way around). The rice used is really good, so kudos on that. Spicy tuna hand roll was just too spicy, another shocker. 4 orders of sushi, 1 hand roll, and two iced teas were $ 28, not too bad, but more pricey than I expected.

Two stars is my rating, and 3 is my boyfriend’s…but since he’s not writing this review, two stars is it! We drove by, looking for a new place to try, at 4 something pm, and decided to u-turn it and come here. We were the only customers and sat by the sushi bar. We chose AYCE. Because this place is so meh to me, I’ll just say, the water tasted like death in liquid form, so get a tea or soda. The rolls were itty bitty, but they had some interesting combination of flavors. I HATE choking on fish bones from the eel, so I stopped eating all the rolls that had eel because I had a bone stuck in my throat for a while. I don’t know, I just wasn’t impressed, and the reviews made this place sound bomb…

This place used to be dai shogun and is now ayce /regular items restruarant. Came on Monday feb 23 around 12 for lunch ayce Place is very traditional and actually has a nice ambiance. The sushi bar is a corner square total of 13 seats maybe. 4 were already in use. They give you a regular menu and a write on menu. The menu you have multiple options or choose from tofu to fresh oyster to rolls. Started off with Shumai: 10 *never tried b4* Calamari: 7+ 3(sauce) Spicy scallops: 10 Octopus: 6 Blossom: salmon rolled over crab meat 10 Shrimp boat: 4– could of been deep fried longer Tamago: 9 *never tried b4* Ono: 4 I’ve had better Masago; always good. Oyster; tangy taste 7 calamari roll: 3 Salmon skin hr: 7 *euu I hate when chefs use carrots in rolls I find that weird* BUT over all I will come back and this place has lots of potential. I actually like it. Service is great and the chefs although quiet, they did make me laugh a bit. Server was friendly! And prompt
