20th Century Motor Lodge

I stood here last minute with my boyfriend. I called around asking for pricing and this was one of the best prices around, plus it was in a great area. Free wifi! Price was $ 72 for their cheapest room. It was a very small but cute «bed and breakfast» type of place. It’s a hidden gem if you ask me. There is a lot of construction going on, but it wasn’t in our way at all. It’s actually just on the east side of the complex.
I stood in 123. It’s tucked away in the corner, which I wouldn’t have minded so much except that our neighbors were a bit loud. It didn’t help that the walls were paper thin. There were people that would come up to their door and converse and we heard EVERY word.
As for the room itself, like I said it was small BUT it did its job. The only thing I noticed was the rugs were stained. I kept my sandals on so it didn’t effect me too much. Otherwise it was a clean room FREE OF SMOKE! I can’t tel you how many times places say «smoke free» but it reeks!
The lady in front was a lovely white, older lady. Very nice and sweet. The office is actually where she lives. It’s attached to her home. I loved that the prices were the same when j got there. Sometimes places tell you one thing and then when you get there, it’s different. Not here! She was true to her word.
I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. It’s a nice little hidden gem in Glendora. Best price around and it was a SATURDAY NIGHT!

Hnads down the best place you can stay in Glendora, Covina, Azusa, San Dimas, Pomona, anywhere nearby. You can pay 30 – 50 more to stay at the Best Western down the street, but you won’t get the amenities, space, or comfort that this place gives. Seriously. It’s clean, you’ve basically got a cottage room with a shower, huge bed, huge TV, free wifi, endless outlets for electronics, a desk, two nightstands, two sitting chairs with an end table… its crazy. I’d more in if i could.
The staff is fantastic, its secluded and private and literally it doesnt get better.

I’ve been staying at the 20^th Century Motor Lodge for a few years now during my visits to So Cal. I’ve always had a pleasant experience staying here and they have always been very accommodating to my crazy flight schedules and my parents dialysis schedules.
I did not think things could get much better here, but I was wrong! They have! The old manager retired and the new girls that took over have done an absolutely stellar job of vamping up the place. It’s SUPER clean. The remodels are beautiful! They’ve planted new foliage, they’ve added cute little outdoor tables with umbrellas, and they’ve done a lot of miscellaneous other little things that make the place shine.
I flew in very late during this last visit and did not arrive until 2 am, and they STILL had my room ready and waiting. I stayed in room 116. It had 2 VERY comfy queen beds, a desk/​work area, a nice dresser, a big flat screen TV, 2 nightstands, a little sitting table in the bay window, a mini bar/​kitchenette area with mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and sink. There was plenty of closet space to hang clothes and store luggage. The bathroom is HUGE! Not all rooms have the tub/​shower combo, but this one does and it was so nice to come back to the room after a long day and just soak in the tub. The shower head is rather low so be prepared to bend down a little if you’re over 5’6. My husband is 6’3 and he had to crouch down during every shower.
The WiFi gets a bit slow at times, but it will perk back up within a few minutes so just hang in there if it cuts out on you.
Since the hotel is right ON the main highway, there is road traffic noise from Foothill (Route 66) that starts at about 6 – 7 am and goes on all day into the early evening. If you are not an early riser, I recommend earplugs. Otherwise you will hear the big trucks and other vehicles constantly passing by.
One thing I wish they had was the «Do Not Disturb» signs. My solution: I would leave a note for my housekeepers outside my door when I needed that extra quiet time in the morning.
I appreciate the LOTS of extra coffee and other extra goodies supplied by housekeeping during my stay, and I made sure to tip my housekeepers appropriately. I also appreciate the late check out time they always give me due to my crazy schedule when I am in town. THIS is well worth the stay in itself!

Our room was very clean. I was impressed the moment I walked in. We had a kitchenette but no utensils or pans are provided to cook with. We typically do not travel with cookware. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the room in general.
The grounds are very well kept and maintained. The pool is large and clean. The location is convenient, with many restaurants and shops available within walking distance.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. On hot days, you can buy cold bottled water in the office, too.
There is one reason why I withheld a star from my rating: gravity. I am 6′ 2″ tall, which isn’t much taller than the average American male (which is about 5′ 10″). Even so, the average American male would find it quite difficult to use the shower in our room. My wife is 5′ 3″ tall and she even struggled with it. I had to get down on my knees to wash my hair and face.
One can easily find «S» shaped pipes that can be attached to standard water pipes which will raise the shower head significantly. Additionally, handheld shower heads are available which not only raise the height of the nozzle, but also make it even taller.
The solutions above will successfully fix the shower head height problem at a reasonable price. Additionally, shorter folks retain the ability to take showers due to a phenomenon called «gravity».

Very clean and reasonable price! Cozy rooms and friendly service… we booked online and they called us to confirm the reservation… Only complaint would be about someone running their noisy car late at night in the parking lot, very annoying. Other than that, we were extremely pleased and will DEFINITELY be coming again…

These people asked me to give them a 5 star review and also to sound really amazed and all for a 10 dollar off the next time I went there.

There was a bug found in the pillow crawling underneath, and ants in EVERY shower/​restroom.
Over all, the room looks clean, but it’s pretty tight and straight to the point, of course.
Customer service is what topped it off.

I’m pretty sure they ARE good people, but I think then just being where They are at now takes a toll.
Over all, decent spot if you NEED. Place to go.

We’ve stayed here on a couple occassions and both times were so pleasantly enjoyable. The price was very reasonable. It was $ 59.00 for a cute, quaint, and large room. The décor is mildly outdated but I think it really adds something to the whole experience. The owners (I believe it’s a couple) are very warm and welcoming which left me feeling like guests at their home.
The pool was great. The whole place was very clean. The staff very polite. I’m looking forward to staying there again when I’m in Glendora again.
P. S. it’s very close to The Hat where you can get the best pastrami sandwich ever!

Tucked away on Route 66, you would totally pass it if you weren’t looking for it. Only reason I gave this place 4 stars was because it kind of turned me off with all the little signs saying stuff like «our towels are expensive so if you dirty them you pay for them»…I liked this place. SUPER customer service. They gave us a really nice room! The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. It was clean and since I am extremely picky when it comes to beds being clean, I have to say, they did quite well. Another little thing that irritated me (and this was not their fault at all) was the fact that some of their guests are quite inconsiderate about yelling at all hours of the night… I woke up several times to stupid guests yelling. Most likely they were drunk because Clubhouse 66 is across the street. All in all I would totally stay again.
