First time went to see Jojo for my tax and all I can say about Jojo is he is beyond the best, he knows what he is doing and he is best at it! His office is super nice. I highly recommend to this place and see Jojo!

I had no idea what to expect when going to Jojo… all I had heard from my mom was that he had lots of high profile clients and he helped us out tremendously during tax season last year.
My visit was short and sweet. This was my first time getting my deductions itemized and I sadly wasn’t prepared to answer a lot of his questions. Jojo’s sense of professionalism came out when he started throwing numbers at me that made total sense. I could tell that he has put a lot of time and effort into his craft. Every question I asked, I could tell he’s been asked the questions before and knew the perfect way to explain to a new, younger client like myself. I sat with him for about 30 minutes, and our appointment was so fun! Full of laughs and random side conversations. Didn’t feel like I was getting my taxes done, more like my nails! Very relaxing– two words that don’t usually pop up when you think of taxes. =)
He charges a reasonable amount and is very flexible. When he shows you what your return would have been had you gone to, let’s say, H&R, and compares it to the return you are guaranteed when you’re with him (his company will take fault should any returns get audited)… W O W. Again, total game changer.
He’s based out in Glendale, CA. A lot of my friends here in SD wanted to set up appointments but didn’t have the time to drive to LA. Jojo welcomes out-​of-​town clients and is willing to work with them without first having an official sit-​down. A fax machine is all you need.
I’ll be going to Jojo every year moving forward. He is amazing!

Not a typical accountant! This place was awesome! My husband and I came in not expecting anything (typical tax person) and we were blown away! JOJO is probably one of the most genuine person you can ever meet. He has so much character in him! I am pretty happy about my visit and I already scheduled my appointment for 2016! I been doing my taxes here for 7yrs n I’m so happily satisfied with my Kuya Jo Jo who prepares my taxes very professional very super nice n sweet I wouldn’t change him for anyone else he is wonderful at what he does he is a master and loves his job!!!

I have been a client of Visionqwest since 2005. I have also referred a handful of clients to them. Now was it too much to ask for a reply to my message in a timely manner? This is after he has charged me an arm and a leg. Which is $ 500 per year. Taking my money and ignoring my messages is very unprofessional! Oh and they had the audacity to tell me that they are done with me when I gave them a 2 star review on FB. Way to go for losing a loyal client. Improve your customer service or at least get a secretary to reply to your emails since you always seem to be super busy after you have taken my money. There is a 1 star review here on Unilocal of another former client as well. I suggest reading that. Customer is always right but this company most certainly has no clue when it comes to great customer service!

Best place for your tax needs. Hands down!!! My friend told us about this place and met with jojo, the owner. Right off the bat took care of us. He cares for his client and he def knows what he is doing. We definitely recommend him for your tax needs.

It’s tax season… usually the most loved or the most dreaded time of year! Some people do a NYE countdown. For me I couldn’t down the days until my annual visit to my CPA, Joseph Cabuhat aka JoJo!
I have been going to VisionQwest to have JoJo do my taxes since 2008:
** Yes, there have been times I waited 20+ mins past my appt. to be seen.
** Yes, there have been times when the office called to ask if I can reschedule my appt (and when I said no I couldn’t they honored my original appt as scheduled!).
** Yes, his appts usually book up months in advance. I easily schedule mine online (
) in September for the first week in February. Easy peasy. Don’t go calling or emailing my homie JoJo in March trying to squeeze yourself in!
*** Yes, he charges a couple hundred dollars, if not more, just depending on your situation.
Some people view these as negatives or reasons just use TurboTax. Whatever folks. Just know what to do and you’ll be fine. JoJo is quick, accurate, SUPER friendly and funny — we’re always in there cracking up! The office has late evening appts at 8pm as well as weekends. Most importantly, I trust him. I know that no matter what, he’s going to get me the maximum refund legally and is well informed on tax laws. Over the years, here is just some of the knowledge JoJo has schooled me on:
1) If you move, all your moving expenses (boxes, trucks, movers, gas, storage, etc. — be sure to save all your receipts!) are deductible.
2) If you change jobs/​employers in a calendar year, be sure to file 0 (zero) on your W-​2 for the 2^nd/​new job. Otherwise it will appear as though you filled 2 for the year and you’ll be dinged! On Jan 1^st, go in and now change your withholdings to 1 for that new job.
3) Whatever fees you paid for tax preparation services the previous year you can deduct the following year taxes. Pay a professional and get it done right!
4) File your taxes early and use direct deposit. I already received my refund for both state and federal, exactly 7 days after my appt. He told me it would be closer to 21 – 30 days. It probably will be if you wait too long when the gov’ment starts to hold on to their money a little bit longer with so many more people fling in March and April.
There ya have it folks. I’m no expert, but JoJo is. I’ll plan to continue to have him do my taxes indefinitely. Be sure to see him for all your tax/​CPA needs!
