I provide tailored, hands on sessions for those with cancer or a history of cancer to lessen the effects of treatment and want to feel less pain, anxiety, and fatigue. I invite caregivers to receive focused bodywork as well so that together the anxiety, stress and fatigue can transmute into a more healing space for everyone.

I am highly skilled in corrective/​deep tissue treatment for those with chronic pain from stress, injury and ongoing postural dysfunction.

History

Established in 2011.

Somatic Space grew from one lady’s desire to serve her community. Somatic Space suggests a moment when we come to orient ourselves to the tactile nature of life inviting us to become still in our frame, yet alert and receptive to all we are. By experiencing our material form we allow space to become the object of our attention instead of the background to our life. We in fact become more whole and alive simply by taking fresh notice of ourselves. This practice will continue to grow as my understanding of and reverence for the human condition continues to expand.

Mia is a qualified, charismatic entrepreneur who loves her work, a skilled technician and clinical problem solver, as well as a pleasure to know. She hikes, hangs with her 2 awesome German shepherds, loves good books and movies and makes friends wherever she goes.

*Certified Oncology Massage Therapist

* Certified Massage Therapist in CA and Liscensed in NY state

* Cares deeply about our communal health

* Massage therapist at City of Hope Hospital and Pediatric Rehab Therapist at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles
