Sev Laser Aesthetics

Strange that I waited 30+ minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen, but half way through my session the nurse says that «she is pushing into the next clients time and if she can take her real quick and come back to finish me».
Does that make sense??? Didn’t I just wait 30+ minutes to be seen and shouldn’t she wait just like everyone else did? The gal before me said she waited an hour!!!
So now you put me back in the waiting room to wait another 30+ minutes to FINISH my treatment. GTFO!
The front desk gal tried explaining how the laser used on my skin tone is smaller than the one used on lighter tones so it takes longer… Blah blah blah. That still doesn’t explain having a client pause mid treatment to wait in the waiting room while they take the next client.
As I write this review I’m debating wether I should just walk out with one leg done. At this point it’s not even worth it and a waste of my flipping time.
Side note: Two stars for the great, informative, genuinely nice nurse!

I have only had 1 appointment with Sev Laser in Glendale and it was a wonderful experience. I had a really bad experience with laser removal 13 years ago and got burned really bad. Tracey took the time to explain the improvements in lasers since I had been and explained how there are different lasers for various skin types. I am African American with a darker skin tone so this really put me at ease. She did my underarm
The pain was very tolerable and honestly, waxing hurts a lot more. There were some areas I didn’t even feel.
Parking was easy and the check in process was quick and efficient. Again this is my first session so I have to see how the remaining sessions go and how long it takes for hair to stop coming in. Can’t wait for my next appointment. I would say that based off my first session all the hype is well deserved.

I have worked for plastic surgeons, dermatologist’s, and co-​owned a medical skin care company for five years. I have also worked for Sev and company. She is the best and has three awesome locations. Start now before her prices go up.

The experience at Sev has been difficult. I have been a customer since they were Glendale laser center and now here I am… You get booked an appointment at your specified time… Yet, I am never taken in on time. Furthermore, if you’re late they have the audacity to charge you a fee, but if they run late which is often the case… Then it is okay. Needless to say, this has been making me reconsider coming here. While the service is good, I appreciate the courtesy to taken in on time especially when my appointment is scheduled months in advance.
Ultimately, this isn’t the first time this has occurred and it’s getting ridiculous. Until this gets changed, I am going to keep my review at 3 stars. want

AMAZING! I have had laser done before at another place (a few years back) and had a bad experience, it did not work. I was hesitant of going to any laser hair removal clinic but my wish to have smooth skin pushed me to take a risk. I’m glad I did, I was so nervous on my first visit, I was thrown off a bit when they told me I had to be cleared by the doctor, but that was just a quick FaceTime call.
The technician actually asked me how the laser felt and re-​adjusted the levels according to what felt appropriate for me. I left excited and couldn’t wait to see the results, which were better than I’d expected after a first visit. I’ve had two treatments only but the results are amazing!!! I’m glad the technicians listen to me, they always make me feel comfortable and make sure I get the results I’m paying for. I would highly recommend this place, it’s amazing!

Sev Laser is clean, punctual, affordable and professional!
So when I scheduled my appointment they informed me that the doctor wouldn’t be in the office on the day of my appointment. (I guess, you need to consult with a doctor before getting treatment.) They asked if it was alright if he called me the day before and asked the required questions via FaceTime. I said alright, he called and asked a few questions and I was all set!
Day of the appointment: There was a small parking lot next to the building, the spots for Sev were taken so I just took an empty spot. When I went in, the receptionist told me that I had parked in another business’ spot but that I could leave my car there for the time being. Many people have complained about the service here but I found the receptionist wasn’t overtly nice but she was polite, kind and answered all my questions.
Anyway, my appointment was at 1:45, I showed up 15 minutes early to do paperwork. As I was finishing up, the customer before me walked out and they took me right on time. Tracy is the name of the nurse who did my laser hair removal (underarms, happy trail, and bikini/​Brazilian for $ 60!). She is the best! She thoroughly explained the whole process and answered every question I had. When she started lasering, she tested a few patches and adjusted the intensity of the laser if need be. She made me feel comfortable and safe. To me the laser felt like quick, little pin pricks not like rubber band snaps. The machine she was using also had an attachment that blew constant cool air to balance out any pain caused by the laser. Tracy worked quickly but thoroughly and I’m excited to update once I start seeing results.
My only complaint is that I would like a sooner appointment for my second session but they are completely booked! They have a waiting list which is how I got my initial appointment and hopefully will get a sooner second appointment.

Tip: try to book your appt at West Hollywood. Might be a little out the way but it’s the better location service wise.

I’ve only gone to sev one time so far and I can already see a huge difference. I’ve had laser on my whole legs and my arm pits and I’m already so pleased. I barely have to shave anymore and the hair is already way thinner. My next appointment is in January I can’t wait! Also the treatments are basically painless.

I didn’t really have the best experience at this place but I am still going to go back just to a different location. The Melrose location.
First, the address was wrong on the internet so I drove to the wrong place. When I called to get the right address the lady on the phone wasn’t very nice about it.
When my sister and I got there (we both had appts) the receptionist was very dry and kind of gave us the cold shoulder.
Then she said you will have to Face time with the doctor before your appointment. Which I found extremely weird. I went into a different room and he asked like 4 generic questions but would only show half his face. It was kind of creepy.
My appt was for 2:15 and I didn’t even get seen until 3:15. I feel like that is a long wait when you have an appointment.
The lady doing the laser seemed very nice and was informative. So that is why I am giving it 3 stars is because of her.
All in all I will not go back to this location but I will still go to Sev Laser in a different location with hopefully a nicer receptionist. Their prices are to good to pass up.

I absolutely love this place ! I have gone about four treatments now to get under arms and face and it really works !! I have really thick black hair but ever since I been coming it has totally almost disappeared !! I will continue coming for more treatment! Just make sure to call and make your appointment ahead of time because they are super busy and packed! Super clean and cute place and he nurses are nice and guide you on how to prep before and after your treatment !
I would recommend it to anybody!

I come here religiously every 5 weeks because I hate hair!!! Everyone is super nice and I don’t feel uncomfortable at all. My results have been amazing and I’ve had smooth skin even after my first treatment. I started coming because I have sensitive skin and I would breakout after shaving, but this place saved me! Highly recommended and the prices are amazing.

yesterday was my first time with Roxana, she was kind and informative. I started with underarms and maybe I’m still confused about results and such bc I’m still wondering when I’ll start noticing my hair growth decrease, lol
Overall, I will continue with the sessions.

So I’ve already done a review on the West Hollywood location for laser hair removal and I think that will be my location of choice. After a slight mishap that happened at this location I believe I am more comfortable at the other one. I met with Sev, the owner, and she was very accommodating and fair with the resolve to the problem I had. Both the locations are nice and the staff is very pleasant.
I have gotten Lila Strawberry Laser («lipo») here and I’m still kind of up in the air about the results. I did lose a couple of inches after 1 treatment, but I’m very inquisitive about anything that has to do with health and fitness (since I am a former personal trainer) and I still don’t «get» how this thing works. I’m going to keep doing though. Even though I don’t understand it, a 2 inch loss is a 2 inch loss and I will take it! lol

My first time getting lasered was at this spot, and it was not too long ago. I’ve been here twice. I found a better deal but this place is good.
It’s located within a business complex, it’s on the first floor. Parking is small but not too crowded. There is a lot on both sides. These spots are marked with the designated business but I park in any of them because I can’t find any marked with sev and you won’t take long anyways.
For first timers, you should arrive 15 minutes early. You will fill out paperwork and do a FaceTime/​skype phone screening with the doctor. If you’re healthy, don’t take any medications, and don’t do any tanning, you should be clear.
The waiting area is small but wasn’t crowded. After you’re cleared, you go into a room with the nurse. You take off your clothes, depending whatever you’re getting lasered. You get goggles to wear. The nurse marks your area with a white pencil (eyeliner?) into sections then proceeds to laser you and will ask you if it’s painful the first couple of shots. She will adjust the laser intensity if needed.
I clench up a lot so the nurses would turn it down, but I wonder if it makes it less effective. My experiences here were not too painful. There’s a cooling air immediately after being zapped, which makes it feel better.
I’ve been here twice. My second time I arrived, machine broke. They’ve also called me to reschedule on my second appointment before. I don’t know if this is a common occurrence but they’ve made it up to me. I’ve had a good experience here overall.

Just wanted to share how amazing I think Mindy is at SEV laser is west Hollywood– she is very friendly yet so professional — I was a bit nervous the first time, as I heard it was painful, but I cannot believe how painless it is was and will never go anywhere else or with another nurse! she is always checking to make sure I am comfortable and let me really go at my pace — which is quick as I feel nothing !

I’ve visited the Glendale Location and the West LA location. I like both. I continually go to the West LA location only because I like visiting that area for a yummy lunch at Urth Café which is really close by and I have felt really comfortable with the nurse at that location too.
The service is great, flexible, affordable, and reliable. Haven’t had any problems so far. I’m glad a friend recommended this place to me! Thanks Ren! I finished my underarm session A+++ have started on my bikini which is coming along GREAT! Also going to do full legs next, so I will write an update when I’m done. Thanks SEV Laser.
My only wish would be to have a location closer to my house. But the results have been worth the commute!

Sev was a game changer for me. Being the bit Native American I am, my hair is so course and dark. I would get five o clock shadows on my armpits nearly an hour after shaving.
My beautiful nurse mindy was so sweet and accommodating. She made me feel at ease while she informed about the VERY minor pain level. She constantly checked in with me through the fast process to see how I was doing and if I was uncomfortable.
Now I haven’t shaved in a month. Even the gray shadow is gone! I can’t wait to get my bikini done.
Ask for mindy and be prepared to relax and let her take the wheel.

I completed my laser treatment over a year ago and I have come back when needed for touch-​ups, overall I’ve been a client for about two years… so I can give a complete review now of this business and the process as a whole.
I had done my fair share of research of comparable businesses. Factors that weigh heavily for me are quality (effective machines used), scheduling availability and price (reasonable).
Lasering can get pricey since it requires many sessions but the prices with SEV are lower than all the other laser places I’ve contacted. The machines they use are top-​notch and highly effective. I started seeing results after my third treatment.
Scheduling has always been a breeze for me. Prices vary depending on what area you want to laser. Results also vary for everyone so I won’t go too much into detail about my personal experience except that its been wonderful and WORTH IT!
DON’T BOTHER GOING TO ANYWHERE ELSE!
