Safelite AutoGlass

Made an appt online where they took all my information to prepare me when I arrived at Safelite. Once I got there all my information was ready and all I had to do was sign the form. Facility is very clean and waiting room was a pleasure. Free coffee, tv and wifi. Well maintained. Only reason why I did not give 5 stars was that my wait was a little longer than I thought (almost 3 hours).
The neighborhood is busy so many places to walk to if you need to eat or do errands.
My service tech was friendly and straight forward with instructions. Even placed my registration and inspection sticker neatly. Also reattached my ezpass same place I had it. I would recommend this place. Just prepare yourself to wait but the good thing is they offer lots of stuff to kill time. Just bring your electronic devices.

I had my whole windshield replaced and the new glass has a large scratch from installation. now I have to wait 4 days for the «glue to set» before they can replace it again. they also attached the rear view mirror at least 4 inches too low, obstructing my view. It looks like their technician rushed it. Now I’m going to have to waste another 2 hours of my life waiting for them to fix it «next week».

Came in on a Monday after being referred by Geico for a hairline crack in my windshield. I was immediately told that they did not have the glass in the store. Ok, I told them I’ll come back on Wednesday. That would give them enough time to order the glass. Came back on Wednesday at 10 am and they told me it would be about two hours. I leave, take a walk, grab a cup of coffee and come back an hour and a half later. The car is still in the same spot I parked it, not a sign.
I was then told by the manager that he needed to speak with me because the glass still had not come in yet. Now, they had my number and could’ve called me right away… they did not. I was then told again that the glass would be in first things Thursday morning and to come as soon as they open. Now I’m livid at this point but I figured Ive come this far and there’s no way these shenanigans will happen again. Heading over there again on Thursday I get a call from the manager saying that they still did not have the glass and to go to their Astoria location because they would have it in the afternoon. At this point I just canceled the entire process.
I would rather pay $ 500 to someone else then get my glass done here for free. There’s just no hustle here.

A rock hit my windshield and made a dent in the driver’s line of sight. My insurance company directed me to Safelite. Had to wait on hold a while to schedule appointment by phone (through the main hub), but when I arrived at the shop, everything was perfect. I was greeted by a friendly employee (Ivan) and was told it would take 1 ½ to 2 hours (it did). There was a thunderstorm, so I sat in the clean waiting area, which features a Keurig machine and WiFi. Hopefully I won’t have any further issues, but the replacement comes with a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend this shop. Cannot comment on price/​value because my work was covered by insurance.

I got my windshield replaced here as there was a crack from the driver side all the way to the passenger side.
The time took about 2 hours, thats ok. Wait room is nice and clean, there’s a TV, bunch of magazines, and hot beverages. The person at the front was nice too.
My problem was with the end result of the install (which is the most important). I can’t see any problems with the glass but I did notice problems with the molding on my driver side door. It wasn’t put back properly and was sagging. I had to pull it out and redo it. I then found the interior upholstery had black stains (A Panel). I now have to bring my car to a detail shop to get it cleaned out.
Look, I’m not an expert nor do I claim to be one but with sloppy work like this, how can I trust that the windshield was put in properly?! I have no way to check that but I don’t see any problems so I’m refraining from a 1* review but there’s no way for me to give this SafeLite location anything higher than a 2.5 /​3.

Called after a branch fell on my windshield and broke it. Their price was a little less than the others. I had to wait four days until they could come to me, on a Saturday. When the repair guy arrived he didn’t have the moulding for the window. To get it they had to wait until Monday to order it and it would take 3 – 5 days to come in.
They should have sent moulding with the repair guy, knowing that my car was 14 years old. Of course they wouldn’t be able to reuse the moulding.
A huge waste of time for me. I will never give my business to them, instead I’m using a local auto glass repair shop with good reviews. You should too.

I had the front windshield replaced on my 1968 Mustang and they did a great job. They had the glass delivered in one day after I ordered it. I was completely satisfied with the work. The facility is spotless and the waiting area is big and clean.
Melinda works the counter and was very pleasant. Ivan is the manager and was helpful and does his job well. Robin did the install and the man knows his jobYou will be happy with them.

This place takes a stressful situation and easily helps. I had an appointment and it wasn’t overbooked. Ivan was very informative and professional. The shop was very clean and organized. We had to replace our whole windshield and it took almost 1 ½ hours. The time went fast while we waited in their clean waiting room equip with a tv, coffee, and water (which I helped myself to). Great Job on the windshield, it looks original and there is no leftover glass any where in my car.

They have a waiting area where you can sit down & have a cup of coffee while they work on your vehicle

Was in a Fast food restarant. Backed in too close to a dumpster and busted out my back window. After calling my insurance company, they gave me this place to go to. I live in Queens never been in this area. Once I got there, they took me in and did everything in about and hour. Very professional.

They told me that I’ll be done in 1.5 to 2 hours. It took exactly 1 hour 55 minutes, as promised.
Waiting room is comfortable and well lit. Chairs have reclining backs. Fast, courteous service. Very professional. Having a great coffee machine helps too.
I highly recommend this Safelite AutoGlass location.

The Worst.
I get it. It takes more time to install a window than a windshield. But when I’m told to show up on time for my 11am apt and then I arrive early to be told it will take 1.5−2 hours before they intend to START on my car. I’m not happy. Sitting here in a waiting room in March with no heat, 3 hours later — I’m REALLY not happy. And no. My window isn’t back. But I’ve seen several people come in and leave before me. How convenient for them, having easier pieces of glass to replace than mine. My mistake for not planning ahead.
Don’t bother asking what’s going on though, they genuinely, don’t care.
