Dr. Shupe performed multiple surgeries on me, including a subtalar arthroeresis on both feet, and a gastroc release in both calves. Initially my feet hurt pretty bad for a while, but over the past couple of years I really have noticed a positive difference in my feet. I had the subtalar arthroeresis due to flat feet that was causing tremendous amounts of feet pain for months that wouldn’t go away. Dr. Shupe did an excellent job pre-​, peri-​, and post-​operatively. He explained the procedure well, I felt very comfortable going into surgery that day, and the follow-​up care was great as well. He gave me multiple options and was supportive of whichever I chose. I highly recommend this podiatrist for all of your feet issues!

My experience with Dr. Shupe and his staff couldn’t have been more positive. Dr. Shupe examined my foot and ankle carefully and explained his diagnosis in detail. I really appreciated both his kindness and his professionalism. I don’t understand the negative comments about his receptionist, she was lovely.

I like Dr. Shupe, but his receptionist ruins the whole experience. I just called with an EXTREMELY SIMPLE question that could have been answered by looking in my records, but she was overly rude and refused, saying I had to schedule an appointment to ask the doctor in person. After a few minutes or arguing on why that didn’t make any sense, she agreed to write a note for him to look in my records and then call me back in a few days.

Front desk lady who answers phone is rude, doesn’t know what she is talking about regarding insurance and not helpful in any way. Her attitude problem makes the practice not worth pursuing at all. No thank you.

I saw Dr. Shupe at his office in the Glendale Adventist Medical Center’s, Lee Hughes Building. His office is conveniently located near a very large parking area. Parking as well as access to his office were both very convenient. Dr. Shupe is very knowledgable and he answered all of my questions. He explained exactly what my surgery would include as well as my recovery so that I had no surprises. His office staff is very kind and efficient. I would highly recommend Dr. Shupe to my family and friends.

Always liked dr. Shupe but his office staff is intolerable and patronizing. The chriopractic person that shares office space thinks he can mind my business which I suspect may be a HIPA violation of sorts, something I’ll be looking into for sure. It’s a shame he isn’t surrounding himself with better support staff. I came into the office with an emergency and was infirmwd the doctor was too busy to see me, which I can appreciate and requested a copy of my records so I could be seen elsewhere, this request was met with denial.

Dr. Shupe is amazing. He is very thorough and explains everything in detail. He has the cold laser treatment which is cutting edge and speeds recovery! I Highly recommend him.

I have had recurring capsulitis in metatarsal joints of my feet. Cortisone shots were the standard treatment by other podiatrists. Dr. Shupe uses a new technology «cold laser». Quick relief and much faster healing in just two treatments. Very pleasant and effective treatment. Not painful at all!!! Cold laser treatments have been used in Europe at least 20 years. Why is the USA so far behind? The cold laser can be used for carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, sciatica, neck injuries — also to speed post-​operative healing.
I highly recommend Dr. Shupe and this treatment.

Dr. Shupe is a very kind, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable doctor. He has his own practice so he probably isn’t in a network of doctors. His office is conveniently located off the 134 with ample self parking (no cost). His office is rather small but he is always busy as he spends his time between Glendale and Orange County. He is the only doctor in the office so appointments might be a little tough to get sometimes. I had to go to get my big toe nails cut close to the skin. He explained everything that he was doing and what the results would be. He handles all things related to podiatry, corrective surgery, and injuries.
