Massihi Allen DPM

I have been a patient of Dr Massihi for almost 4 years, now. From day 1 he has been very helpful, preformed 2 surgeries on my feet, and even gave me a pretty good discount (50%), when I had to pay out of pocket. I don’t care what some say, the staff is good. I have no intentions going to a different doctor, probably, ever. Haters can hate, but he is a good doctor.

Dr. Massihi has been our podiatrist for many years. He is awesome at what he does. He makes us feel comfortable and he is very knowledgeable. His bedside manner is excellent and he will answer all of your questions clearly. I go to Dr. Massihi religiously with my mom and brother and he is the best podiatrist around. He’s quick, efficient and thorough. Don’t think twice about whom to go to. And his office staff are very welcoming. I can’t say enough good things about him and the whole office. Excellent doctor!

Unfortunately, I have terrible feet. Over the years, they’ve started to cause me pain here and there. I went to Dr. Massihi to see if I can do anything preventative in hopes the issue doesn’t get worse. He took quite a bit of time explaining some of the things I can do to help prevent progression of pain. I was really impressed with the knowledge he possesses.
I found his office to be very clean and professional.

Worse Experience!
His front receptionist has no customer service skills, The blonde lady. They made me have a surgery, promising me they will treat my heel. I wish I never trusted them. I did it, but it was the worse experience ever, I had the worse pain after and my heel did not get better. He would give me pain killers and say just wait it will go away. I would call the office and tell them I am in pain, they did not care. For Months I was in pain, then I found Eric Wee canoga park, AWeSome podiatrist! I highly recommend him to everyone. He seriously Healed my foot. Oh on top of how awesome the doctor is, the manager and the receptionist are very kind and professional.

Very knowledgeable doctor when it comes to foot and ankle issues. He was able to diagnose an issue I was having for which I had seen 2 others with no avail.
His office is very clean and the staff are courteous as well.
Furthermore, there was an issue with my insurance and they called blue shield and resolved it for me.
Recommended.

I recently had really bad pain in my heels, which started on one side and ended having pain in both. Called Dr. Massihi’s office and they got me in right away. Went saw him and within few days my pain was gone. Everyone was great at the office and he is great himself. I’m so happy he was recommended to me by a friend, and I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great doctor.

Dr. Massihi is terrific and someone I would highly recommend. I’d been having major heel pains and visited multiple Podiatrist in West LA without any luck. I finally got recommended to Dr. Massihi and decided to give him a shot. I drove to his office in Glendale and was treated warmly with his staff (always a good start). Then Dr. Massihi personally came out to introduce himself and proceeded to walk me over to his offices; I could tell based on the questions he was asking me that he knew his stuff. By the time he finished his evaluation, he already had a solution to my heel pain and explained to me his game plan for getting me back to normal. To be honest, I thought his game plan wouldn’t work because it was so drastically different then the approaches recommended by other Podiatrist. But I was wrong! Within 2 weeks my heel pain subsided drastically and it was completely gone by week 3!!! I’m so happy! Dr. Massihi, thank you so much!

I recently went to see Dr. Massihi for my ankle pain and I had a great experience. I got the appointment the same day and everyone was very helpful and nice. Took care of my ankle pain and had no issues. Definitely recommend Dr. Massihi to anyone who has any type of ankle/​foot pain.

Worse front desk customer service they are rude. Went in for foot problem was advised that I needed a special insole for my shoes due to the work field I’m constantly on my feet. I’m not sure who in that office made the verification that the insoles were covered by my insurance. Non the less I got the insoles later I got a bill from this office for $ 500 I went into the Doctor office to clear this up and the doctor himself tells me that insoles are not covered by insurance. I reminded him that he told me it was covered otherwise I would have never agreed to get them knowing they would be $ 500. Now he is offering to reduce the cost $ 300 but I need to pay for the bill like yesterday. Very unprofessional in their behalf especially the Doctor assuming we have that money in hand when in the first place they failed to or maybe tricked me to get this insoles so they can later tell me my insurance didn’t cover it and I’m forced to pay out of my pocket. I have relative that I had previously refer to that Doctor before this issue occur and same thing was offered to her that she needed special insoles.

Worst medical office ever! not only his diagnosis was wrong but I started receiving bills from him for supplies i had never received. Tried calling his billing department, but they weren’t helpful at all. They advised I talk to Dr. Massihi directly. I tried calling his office for months and leaving a message for him to return my calls. He never called back, and finally today i saw the collection in my credit report!!! Really??? is that how you run your business? charge people for services or supplies they never received? You are supposed to help people not cause more pain.

Zero customer service habbits!

IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK…
I was refereed to this guy for an ingrown toenail. I called and asked if they took Aetna, they said yes and I made an appt.
He did a QUICK procedure, before he ran to lunch, to remove an ingrown nail from my big toe in Jan 2013. They took a $ 50 copay as well.
Went to a follow up appointment, where I was asked for another $ 50 copay.
I asked Massihi if the toe was infected because it still hurt. He said no infection.
Turns out that it hurt because he didn’t do the procedure properly. He didn’t remove the ingrown nail.
In Feb 2013 I had to go see a Physician, who removed an even larger piece of nail than Massihi did.
DOING IT TWICE WASN’T BAD ENOUGH, RIGHT!
10 months later I get a statement from MB Medical Billing of Glendale showing that Aetna paid for most of the services and then reversed their payment.
That I owed additional $ 625 for a botched procedure by the sketchy quack.
Turns out asking for a copay was a ruse. Dr. Massihi has no relationship with Aetna. His office lied and he didn’t do a proper job.
MB Billing prepared and sent me a fraudulent statement with payments and reversals shown. Misrepresentation at the least. Aetna told me they never paid a thing. They don’t work with Massihi because he charges too much for services (plus he is incompetent at doing them).
So, the doctor stinks, the office lies about coverage partners and the billing firm creates false statements to cover it up. Now they’re threatening to send me to collection for services that were never done properly. I am reporting them to the Attorney General, the BBB and CA Medical Board for fraudulent practices and false billing statements. What a setup over there in Glendale.

DO NOT GO! WORST DECISION…
I had ankle pain on my left foot for a long while when I visited Dr. Massihi, and I left with the same foot pain and unnecessary bills to pay.
I usually don’t write about my bad experiences, but I wouldn’t want someone else wasting their time and money like I did here. So heres my experience…
I felt as if the doctor would rush me in and out the office as fast as physically possible, he would talk SO fast that I would literally be out the office 5 minutes after I got in without understanding what he was talking about. He didn’t show any care towards his patients in any way that I could see. All he did was make me wear a boot for a few weeks (and keep going back so he can «check up» on it… YA RIGHT! and send me back to keep wearing the boot again.)
One of the most inconvenient things was he doesn’t have an x-​ray area in his office, SO after you get there, park, get in, get checked… you have to leave the office, drive further away, wait, get x-​rayed, drive back to the office and start all over again… SO NOT WORTH IT!
& Lastly… I actually got sent 2 totally different statements in the mail of what I supposedly owed, and on the statements they had billed me for days I HADNT EVEN GONE INTO THE OFFICE… I mean what kind of a doctor office is this???
Trust me, I have been to my fair share of doctors and I would NEVER recommend this office to ANYONE. I shouldn’t have listened to the person who sent me here in the first place…

When I broke my 5^th Metatarsal (Jones’ fracture) earlier this year, I was left with a ball of stress and absolutely no direction. I had no idea that there is this massive divide between podiatrists vs orthopedists. Glendale Memorial gave me the name of an Ortho, only to find out that he worked on hips and shoulders. No feet! I mean, not only do I have to do extensive research on this now, but I had to find the right kind of doctor for my needs too?! Guh!
I tried 2 Orthos, and felt so frustrated and helpless after both visits. So I took a chance on trying a podiatrist, and Dr. Massihi made all my stress go away on the very first visit. Unlike the first 2 Orthos, Massihi showed me exactly what was going on with my fracture, what needed to be done and what will happen if I follow doctors orders. He told me that if I followed his instructions to the T, I’d be back on my feet again in 2 months.
So he put a cast on my foot and made the slow progression from cast and crutch to moonboot, staying off my foot and always using my crutches. And sure enough after 2 months, I could run, jump and do as I pleased. 100% restored!
When I asked him about trying homeopathic or non-​westernized medicine, he always gave a very logical, open-​minded opinion, but never personally recommended it to me.
The only thing he ever prescribed to me was heavy duty, extra strength ibuprofen and said that the secret is to relax and rest.
And guess what — it’s true.
Every time I’d come in for a check up, he’d check the bottom of my cast for dirt and ware, which is how the docs know if you’ve been using your bad foot too much. I’m proud to report that the bottom of my cast was consistently clean, which always pleased him to see. Uncoincidentally, every visit showed dramatic improvement.
I never want to go through that ordeal again, but I’m glad I found someone who calmed me down with facts and a positive outlook.
Massihi made me a believer and he’ll make you one too.
