Pacific Studio for Dance

All she wants to do is DANCE not make romance… c’mon she is only a munchkin don’t go there. So this is the exact type of place that she loves to hang at. There is so much for her to learn and enjoy. If you have a munchkin in this area and you wanna see them learn and have fun doing new wild and crazy stuff, this is one of the places to go to.
My daughter goes in for a couple of lessons per week, Ballet and Hip Hop. She is not so big on the Ballet, but absolutely loves the Hip Hop. Her rhythm is decent and she is learning how to better move her body keeping it in control. She has a lot of fun and sashays all over the place afterwards.
Pro Tip: 1 hour class with 1 hour parking out front… ohhh yeah! More parking in back…
The teachers here are pretty good. The owner is a bit pretentious but she is able to dance well and pass that along to the kids. The facility is very well kept. Overall there is a lot to appreciate about this place. However, in the end all that matters is the munchkin loves to go here and she regularly shakes her bootie (as she likes to say) while at home to the dance moves she has learned.
They have an annual or semi-​annual performance to show off how well the kids have progressed for friends and family. Definitely some very kewl and fun stuff for the kids (mostly girls) that take classes here. So check it out if you have a tot, munchkin, or crumb-​cruncher that needs to have a place to go shake their bootie too!

I’m writing this review more for a fabulous teacher than for the site, although the school is a lovely, funky traditional neighborhood storefront dance studio, geared for children. Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Linda Lopez Campo gives THE MOST awesome zumba class — and I consider myself somewhat of a cognoscenti of Latin Cardio and Salsa Aerobics, even BEFORE there was such a catch-​all animal called «zumba»! I can’t recommend Linda enough — first class free, a 10-​pass for $ 7 a class, GREAT choreography, great music (not that awful generic «zumba» music). Linda is an accomplished dancer and works at 100% peak energy — she never «dumbs it down,» so new students can work at an appropriate pace but experienced students are challenged. Linda is warm and welcoming; the class members are friendly and down-​to-​earth. All body shapes, aerobics dress, and dance levels. If you work at night, as I do, and are looking for a 5-​star Latin Cardio class on weekday mornings, this is the spot. The venue is not chic, but the class and the instructor are transcendent. Bring a towel and a lot of water: you will sweat. One caveat: parking, esp. on Weds (street-​cleaning day), can be tricky.

Pacific Studio for Dance if the perfect combination of skill & technique married with passion and love of dance. I grew up dancing and was searching for that perfect studio where my daughters would learn the proper technique while having the opportunity to fall in love with dance. This is it! The approach to discipline is all done with such heart. My daughters LOVE to dance here. And the community of families is supportive and kind. I am so grateful to be a part of this dance community.
