I found Mbz auto service by accident few years ago by just simply driving on San Fernando Blvd.. My 2008 ML 350 was giving me problems and I was dreading to take it to the dealership. I saw the sign and I decided to pull in. Now normally I do my research and read reviews but this time I was right there so I figured what the hell it’s worth a try to go and talk to them. Boy was that the best decision of my life. Immediately I noticed that the place was very clean and organized. So far so good. I was immediately approached by a person who I found out later that he was the owner of the shop he’s name is Ara. He politely ask me if he can be of service. and I said yes I’m having some issues with the car. Anyway he immediately looked at the car and found the problem he gave me an estimate which was very reasonable and competitive and much less than what the dealer would have charged me. I did end up leaving the car there for one day however my problem was fixed in a timely and professional matter. His Staff is also very nice and professional. Needless to say since that day I never went anywhere for all my Mercedes repairs I have referred other customers as well and they’re been very happy with him. I normally don’t leave reviews but I really thought that this place deserves one. Thank you so much Ara for going the extra mile every time I need service on my cars. I highly recommend this place to everyone who needs a Mercedes repair.

I cannot believe this man has 5 stars. I came here to inflate my tires because the sign came up. It is an E-​350. He told me to sit down and wait. There were already cars in the garage so he drove it to some other spot. After about 20 minutes, he brought it back. The sign was gone and he said it was good now. I was driving back home when I noticed the sign came back on again. Also, when I stopped at a gas station to get some gas, I noticed the little covers for the air on my wheels are different on 2 wheels. All of mine are black, while these are silver. I know these weren’t like this before. I took it back to the man and talked to him about my problems. He said I have to fix all of my sensors as well as my monitor. When asked about the silver covers, he said he doesn’t know. I’ve had it with this man and decided to take it to a Jiffy Lube. They said there was too much air for the tire pressure and they would correct it for me. It barely took a minute and I was off. The sign has not come on since (2 weeks after). It is better to just take your car to a professional place rather than some scammers.

OVER 5 YEARS SINCE I FIRST UnilocalED ABOUT MBZ AUTOMOTIVE…
In a world full of unscrupulous business owners, overzealous mechanics willing to pawn their integrity for the next check, and general unchecked consumerism finding a trustworthy establishment these days, particularly in the automotive repair industry has becoming exceedingly rare.
Such was my dilemma when, thanks to my obsession with Mercedes Benz automobiles!
I found myself suddenly in need for a specialized shop and NOT the Mercedes dealership. After months of going into local dealerships, which there are 4 of in my proximity, and getting aggressive sales pitches and awkward explanations and burning through terabytes of misleading internet ads and emails, I was honestly ready to just give up and sell my Mercedes, buy a bus pass and call it a day.
I found the shop that I was searching for (I have 3 AMG Mercedes and these rare cars to own with low miles in excellent condition).
I always approach these things with a healthy dose of skepticism, the old maxim «if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t» ringing in my ears but from the very start I could tell this man was different.
He responded to every inquiry promptly and honestly, fully disclosing any known potential issues and defects and went way out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable.
From my very first transaction Ara has been nothing short of heroic.
From the inspection, to estimate, to securing a good price on official Mercedes parts, the whole process was smooth as the freshly paved highway I used for my inaugural drive after the repair.
Ara was tremendous in not only facilitating the repair and giving me options and an overall view of the condition of my vehicle, but he also followed up with me in the weeks and months thereafter to simply to ensure my satisfaction.
Who does that nowadays???
There was no ulterior motivation for him to do that; the work had already been completed and I signed off on the invoice, but he did it anyway simply because he is a good person who recognizes the uncertainty and expense of keeping a Mercedes like a new car and wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the work that I required.
With the popularity of internet shopping, there are literally thousands and thousands of places to repair and maintain a vehicle nowadays (and I swear I’ve dealt with damn near all of them in my latest quest) but I can honestly say I don’t think I could have done any better anywhere else.
Ara is that breed of old-​school specialist mechanic going slowly becoming extinct.
The rare diamond in a collapsing coal mine that is the current state of corporate business. Take it from me. I’m as critical as they come and, though I’ve found my dream person to work with and don’t intend on keeping all of the Mercedes Benz AMG’s for a long time, if ever I find myself in search of another vehicle, this is the first place I’ll go to before I purchase another!
MBZ Automotive Service is an immaculate shop, has great communication, does the work only as needed (can you say that about ANY dealer?), listens to what my issues are, kept his commitment for when my automobile repair and service will be completed and stands by his word and his work!!!

I’ve been coming here to have my ML350 serviced for over nine month. I have been extremely happy. The prices are reasonable and the owner is knowledgable and trust worthy! Prior to finding this location I had always taken my Mercedes to the dealership for service. I Highly recommend this location if you want quality service that you can trust!

I’ve never had a great auto repair experience, that is, until I came here. Ara made me feel like I was stepping into his own home. He wasn’t trying to sell me anything and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car with a thorough walk through. He got me great deals on parts and fixed my car same day. I recently bought a used MB which the previous owner really took care of. Talking about all services done that needs to be done. I wanted to keep up with it, so I asked some of my car friends before checking out Unilocal,who they recommend. And they all mentioned MBZ.
In this day and age of, it is hard to find honest trustworthy mechanics, specially if you don’t want to pay the pricy MB dealer prices where you pay for their marble entrance. Ara didn’t try to up-​sell me anything but suggested what I should do, and things that can wait. He wants to be sure that you are happy with the service when you drive off his lot, otherwise you are not leaving. Thanks for extra care!

My roommate recommended I go to MBZ to get my BMW serviced with Ara because she loves him and has told me for the past 3 years that he is the BEST! I went and he took such good care of my car. He went above and beyond to make sure that he fixed everything just perfectly and kept me posted on the status of what he was doing all along the way. He also found a few unexpected issues that thankfully hadn’t happened yet but could any minute and when i asked for his opinion on what i should do, he told me very honestly. I also asked what he would tell his daughter to do if she were in my shoes and his response was, «that’s why i told you what i told you, it’s what i would tell my daughter to do too!» So sweet and kind and reliable and i will only go to Ara from here on out!!!

I highly recommend MBZ for all your Mercedes auto care needs. I initially went to the shop to get a quote for damage to my fender. Not only did the mechanic fix the minor damage but he also inspected the car and pointed out some things that needed to be fixed too. Since I recently purchased the car from a used dealership I thought the car was good. But the mechanic really showed me everything that the dealership neglected to tell me. He even fixed some minor one on the spot. I appreciate his honesty and his work ethic. I plan to return for all my car needs.

Great Experience! I went to MBZ Auto Service after seeing all the Unilocal reviews. Since our MB was a lease it was very important that the work was done properly and the parts genuine. I didn’t want to get dinged when taking the car back to the dealer. That’s exactly what I got and I really appreciate Ara taking the time to explain everything and make sure I was a happy customer. I have had my car serviced for oil changes, tire changes and collisions over the past five years. Prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding. The service shop is clean and professional, My auto is fixed and delivered on time. I’ve been suckered at the Mercedes dealerships over the years. appreciate that at MBZ AUTO there are No games and no gimmicks. My estimates are reasonable and the collision repairs have always been a smooth and painless process. I have to give credit when credit is due. Thumbs up!!!

My car was leaking coolant and was making terrible sounds which was stressful because I had no idea where to take my Mercedes being new to LA. I went here because of the wonderful reviews and surely enough I wasn’t dissappointed.
Ara was very kind and knowledgable. He diagnosed my car and quoted me for only the work I needed to have done. He recommended fixes for the future but in a manner that didnt feel pushy as some mechanics would do.
When I picked up my car, Ara walked me through what was fixed on my car pointing out the new parts. My car is now sounding better than ever thanks to Ara!

I went here because of the great reviews. I dropped my car off and everyone was nice and I promptly got a call about the estimates and findings — I reviewed things over the phone and told Aura specifically not to fix one item. I should have requested a detailed quote at that point but I did not.
I got a call a few days later saying that he was sorry but they had «accidentally» gone ahead and fixed this item. They also needed more time than originally thought. He would be able to «get me a good deal» on parts so the price would not be drastically different than what he quoted me. When I paid however, I believe I ended up paying the equivalent of the price with the unauthorized repair included — I can not prove this because I was remiss in asking for detailed quotes/​totals prior to the repair, but the whole reason I did not want this item repaired was to keep costs low and costs in the end were certainly not low!
This to me is completely unacceptable. He was very apologetic and nice but I can not excuse performing unauthorized repairs. I definitely recommend asking for details in writing once he gives you a call with his quote.

I took our BMW 5 Series to MBZ Auto on two occasions. Both times I recall thinking these are really nice people. More importantly, I left feeling like I had gotten exactly what I needed, paid a fair price for it and had a pleasant experience.
I used to go to the dealership for service. I don’t think I’ll be doing that anymore. Thanks guys.

I am finally getting around to Unilocaling MBZ Auto service… I read other great reviews on Unilocal about MBZ so decided to take my C63 AMG in for its service B. I don’t really trust dealership service and don’t like overpaying dealership prices so thought I would try MBZ.
I met Ara the owner and he was super nice. The shop itself is very professional and clean. He is a certified MBZ mechanic (as I noticed his certificates on the wall) which obviously is someone you want working on your car.
In terms of service, a few worthy notes:
1. When I went to drop car, he made sure I had a ride and offered to take me anywhere I needed to go (work). My wife was waiting for me so didn’t need this service. I liked this shuttle offer service.
2. When I picked up car, Ara showed me the old parts that were wore out and replaced. I have always liked this in a mechanic.
3. I think they sprayed my car with some kind of air freshener. This may seem minor but I thought it was a nice touch.
4. I had forgotten to tell Ara about a rear brake light that was out in my car that was causing an annoying pop up message on my dash… When I went to pickup car, I mentioned it to Ara and he had seen it and fixed it at no charge!!! This sold me on using Ara and his shop for all future services.
BTW, The cost of my service was at least 100.00 dollars less than what the dealership would of charged me.
If you have a benz, take it here! You won’t be disappointed.
Unilocal on…

I first went to MBZ back in January 2012 when i needed brakes upon a friend’s recommendation. Even though MBZ was recommended by a friend, i was really skeptical, because most shops think because you drive a Mercedes, you’re rich and think they can over charge or tell you you need something you really don’t.
Anyways, i drop my car off for diagnosis and Ara calls me shortly to give me the quote and see if i want to have the brakes repaired. I was shocked at his quote and the fact that he was honest about what i needed and didn’t need. Just for the heck of it, i pulled out an invoice for previous repairs i had a couple weeks prior to see what he would have charged, and i was shocked again at his quote.
So move on to April 4^th, 2012… i needed a major repair (intake manifold) done. I took my car to 2 shops for diagnosis (because i don’t trust mechanics) and they came up with the same diagnostic problem. One shop was about $ 100 cheaper than the other, but i thought i would give MBZ a call and see what he would charge. He quoted me $ 250 less than the cheapest of the 2 other shops. I was again shocked and thought to myself… he’s gonna have me get my car all the way to Glendale, and then tell me his quote was wrong. Well i was wrong, because he charged what he quoted. He recommended another repair that i would need soon and i was on my way April 5^th a happy camper. :)
I’ve learned it’s really hard to find an honest/​knowledgeable mechanic who does great work, and takes care of your car in the process. I keep my car immaculate inside and out, and i hate to pick it up and find grease, hand prints and crap all over it… i’ve actually not returned to shops because of that. MBZ is a very clean shop and they will take car of your car. I would suggest calling Ara and giving him a chance the next time you need your Mercedes repaired. You’ll leave not feeling like you got ripped off.
