Jai Kakanar, DDS

I really recommend this office. The dentist is competent, the staff is warm and helpful, and when I tried to purchase a relatively expensive procedure that I thought I needed, I was assured that it wasn’t time yet and that I should wait at least a year. That shows a lot of integrity and has certainly earned my respect.

You will not find a more attentive & skilled dentist than Dr. Kakanar. He genuinely cares about his patients – not just teeth, but whole health. I first started going to him several years ago at the suggestion of a friend, who was a patient. She worked for the 1−800-Dentist Co. – fairly high up in management & in contact with many dentists, and she thought Dr. Kakanar was one of the best in Los Angeles
Today Dr. Kakanar installed crowns on my two front teeth. He spent so much time with me to ensure they were to my liking. Before that, I had broken off the temporaries that were put in place while the crowns were being constructed. I don’t consider myself overly vain, but I was in complete distress over my appearance without the majority of my two front teeth. My husband called quite early on a Saturday and 90 minutes later I was in the chair while Dr. Kakanar made a complete new set of temporaries to cement into place.
Both my son & my husband see Dr. Kakanar for their dental needs as well.
On another note: I would ignore «Misfit’s» 1-​star comment about the office staff. I really have to wonder if he or she is talking about the same office because Carolina in the front office is honestly as nice and helpful as medical receptionists get. Seriously, she is so sweet and very understanding.

I love Dr. K, I have weak teeth and he has helped me immensely and no matter how far away I live from Glendale I will always make the trip to see him and his excellent care team. I highly recommend Dr. K, truly gifted dentist.

I have been going to this office since 1971, through 3 owners, and Dr. K is the best of the lot. BUT: They insist on getting your home phone, your cell phone, your work phone, and at least one email address. When they want to remind you of an appointment, they use each and every one, scattering messages to call to confirm, until they get a human. I DETEST being hunted down like this. This is the only medical office that does this and it stinks. I have asked them to stop, and they won’t. So I’m looking for another dentist. One who respects my space.

I just went to this dentist and he was amazing. The staff is über helpful. They are open on Saturdays! He didn’t try sell me on braces (I’ve never had braces in my life). I will continue to go to him!

I went to him for the 2^nd time because I thought it was my wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted, but turns out I had some gum inflamation due to a cavity next to my wisdom tooth.
Very happy with his services and his staff is super friendly!
