My sister got 16 hours of driving training from this place and just passed her driving test on Monday! The instructors are very informative and I would highly recommend them to all new drivers. I regret that I did not go to them when I was learning how to drive!

I had 6 hours with Romeo within one week and I passed the test, great school thumb up.

I would like to take the chance to thank Hye Traffic and Driving School for the highly experienced driving instructors. I took the 6 hours training to become more familiar with California’s driving rules. Romeo did a great job, thumbs up! He is friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. At first he made me drive for about 15 minutes then he pointed out the mistakes I did. Then he started focusing on my mistakes. After the first session (which was 2 hours) I felt more confident and at the end of the 6 hours training I became familiar with the rules. Hye Traffic and Driving School scheduled the DMV behind-​the-​wheel test and on the day of my test Romeo gave me an additional 1 hour drive before the actual DMV test. I took the DMV test and I passed from the first time with ZERO mistakes! I am very pleased with my result and I highly recommend Hye Traffic and Driving School; especially Romeo. Also, my husband took the 6 hours training with Romeo and within less than one week from training he passed his behind-​the-​wheel test from the first time! Thanks Romeo, Thanks Hye Traffic and Driving School for the great services.

I told myself this was going to be the year to learn how to drive. Unfortunately, no one from my family wanted to help me without getting some training… so you see where this led to. I Unilocal’ed traffic schools and decided to go with Hye. It honestly was the best idea ever, my original package was the 6 hour and I would decide where to go from there.
My instructor ended up being Alfred, and he guided me through the basics of everything leading up to the driving test. He was strict thankfully, because you honestly need to learn the hard way to be a better driver. He was also always open to questions and was quick to point out errors and fast reflexes to keep you safe from mistakes. He took me around the areas focused on the Glendale DMV and familiarized me with many traffic signs. Some people might take offense to him being frank but it isn’t a bad thing.
After the 6 hrs were up, he let me know that I needed more practice, which I also felt I needed and bought the 4 hr plus the use of his car for the test. In total I had 10 hrs of instructor training and 3 hrs privately with family and needless to say I passed my driving test on my first try with only 2 errors! I will definitely be returning customer to get the training on freeway really soon since I am still learning to drive around a bit more.
P.S: 3 of the school’s students passed that day! Definitely 5 +++ stars. :)

I’m going to start this review first by saying Hye Traffic Driving School is thus far the best at what they do and will continue to use their service for my drivers training needs. You see, I have 3 little people (i.e. kids) or at least they’re still little people in my eyes. I just finished having the second one go through drivers training through Hye Traffic and Driving School. We only trained for the minimum 6 hours and 4 days later took the driving test. The instructors are very well skilled and good and teaching. We passed the DMV driving test on the first shot!

Very professional staff, respect your time, very knowledgeable and experienced. went for driving school 6 hours changed my driving behavior to be more safe driver.

This driving school has excellent reviews for good reason. They reinforced everything my daughter needed to know to pass her driving test at Glendale DMV. She passed her test the first time with zero errors. Thank you Steve and Hye Driving school.

I want to make it clear that this is only my experience and I can’t speak for anyone else, but I hated my time with this driving school. It had the potential to be a great experience until a couple things happened that completely turned it into a pretty terrible one.
I bought the six hour package and can’t recall my instructor’s name but that may be for the best credibility wise.
So the first day I was picked up and hopped into the car. I’d had about four hours of informal driving experience so I was pretty much new at driving. I told my instructor and he brushed it off. We started driving and immediately he was nit picky. You might be saying, «Well duh, Susan! Isn’t he supposed to be telling you when you’re making mistakes and how to correct them? That’s what you’re paying him for!» So true except if you answer someone with curt and condescending responses, you begin to lose confidence in yourself and seeing as how I was in a vulnerable position as a new driver, that was the worst. As the first lesson came to an end and I was driving home we began to make small talk about future pursuits. I mentioned I wanted to go to grad school and ultimately get my PhD to which he replied, «I don’t mean to be racist, but normally Latina women want to have babies and start a family but not you, huh?» He laughs then goes quiet. Like, wtf? If you’re going to be racist make sure you’re being racist among other racists. Just a rule of thumb. No biggie.
Second lesson he immediately begins to complain about all the work he’s been doing and how he doesn’t really like his job. He admits that he’s stressed around new drivers, but hey it pays the bills. Definitely not the attitude you want to present to someone with hardly any experience behind the wheel. Additionally, this day he berated me throughout the two hours. He said things like, «How many times do I have to tell you?! Are you listening? Can you start taking this seriously!?» You might be asking, «Well were you?» YES GOD DAMMIT! I’m new! I’m trying to remember everything but as a new driver I just wasn’t used to all the rules and tips. As the lesson comes to an end he keeps repeating, «You’re going to need more lessons. You’re going to need one or two more lessons. You will not pass.» Like ok bro, got it. I’m a bad driver but I could really use some encouragement here!
Third day was probably the best. I had trouble parking and I made that clear to him and he patiently taught me how. Drew it out and everything. We even had some cool conversations about comedians and public health. He took me to the DMV to do two practice runs which I messed up but he clarified my errors. It wasn’t until the drive home however that it got bad. He chooses that time to say, «Ok from here on out I’m gonna tell you every time you make a mistake.» Awesome, am I right? Who doesn’t like hearing someone tell them every error they’re making while they’re making it? I also loved hearing that I probably would’ve failed if I took the test as soon as I pulled up to my house. Really makes me just want to keep driving, ya know?
In the end, I did buy more lessons. With another school. I told my new instructor about my experience and by the end of my first lesson she was so confused. She said I needed some improvement but overall not the terrible driver my instructor made me out to be. Ended up passing my road test with ZERO mistakes and with a regained confidence in driving.

Very pleased with my son’s experience with Hye Driving School. His instructor Steve was very kind and patient. The office staff was efficient and quick to answer questions and handle a session reschedule. Highly recommended for young beginning drivers.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for Hye Traffic for over a month. I got my Driver’s License with only 3 mistakes (I am STILL horrible at turns) on the first try, all thanks to Romeo!
The first time I called Hye Traffic was right after I passed my written test and found them through Unilocal.They’re one of the highest-​rated driving schools and now I know why. I called with a few questions before booking the first appointment and the person who answered the phone was incredibly helpful. I just knew right after talking to him that this was THE place. I took the 6-​hour package and I’m glad I did. I seriously thought I would need more time, but Romeo is just an incredible teacher. He was even super supportive before I took the test by helping me stay calm and told me that he knew I would pass.
I highly recommend Hye Traffic. They’re amazing!

Hi… I have tried other driving school before going Hye and chose Hye based on Unilocal review, this is the best thing I did. My instructor was Romeo he was soft spoken and taught me everything about driving since i was very new to this country and driving. I took total of 3 classes from Hye and I cleared my behind the wheel on the first attempt.
Romeo my instructor was considerate enough to hear my confusions and concern about driving. He would point at mistakes that i would do and help me correct it.
I am completely satisfied with the driving experience that i got through Hye the only reason i gave 4 start is for the timings Hye operates. As they don’t teach after 5pm and it was tough for me to manage my time for lessons.

I have to say I learned a lot from this driving school. I booked a 2 hour driving session (regular price $ 90, but I paid $ 80 because I chose to come to their office) and a 1 hour refresh on Thursday before my behind the wheel test, using their vehicle for the test ($ 120). The prices were really affordable.
My appointment was at 9:30am on Monday, July 20, 2015. I arrived really early at 9:00am, right when they just opened, but they were glad to start my lesson early so I wasn’t sitting around. They made a copy of my permit and even gave me a nice envelope to keep mine in. Their facilities were clean and in a safe neighborhood. Their office is in the back of the collection of buildings in case anyone gets lost. I like how close to the Glendale DMV their office is!
The car they used was in really good condition. It was maintained really well. I felt safe using it.
My instructor was an older gentleman. He was very direct and pointed out when I made errors. He also pointed out when I did things correctly (though those were few and far between lol). He was very patient with me and took the time to take me through the Glendale DMV multiple times.
Afterwards, we got back to the office and had a mini-​lesson/​review. My instructor pointed out my biggest mistakes and things I really needed to watch out for for the test. This really shows how much the company cares about your learning. I asked him if he felt like I could pass my behind the wheel test (just a few days later, on Thursday), and he said he felt like I had a 75% chance of passing. As such, I asked him if he thought I should book another lesson in between now and my driving test on Thursday, and he said it wouldn’t be necessary. This was a true sign to me that they weren’t just out for money! Good, honest people. I decided to book another lesson anyway because I want to be sure and pass on Thursday.
I really appreciated his tips. After my lesson, I felt a lot more confident about my upcoming behind-​the-​wheel test just a few days later.

I got my DL today and I had ZERO errors see the picture for proof. I’m glad I chose this school and Steve is so nice and very patient and he really makes sure you pass your driving test. I highly recommend this school to anyone.

I must say that I had a very good learning experience with this school. My instructor was Romeo and he is very nice, patient and knowledgeable. My nervousness in driving is gone now because of him. He helped me a lot and most importantly in achieving my goal. I got my license first shot! I’m very happy!

The best driving teachers you can get, only in this school!
I thought I am a good driver and can easily pass the driving test without help, but when I got my first driving lesson with Alfred I understood how wrong I was. Alfred explained me how to drive the right way and how to pass the test. I did my third lesson with Steve and he was a great teacher too. I passed the test, and I am very thankful too my teachers. My boyfriend used HYE school too, and he passed the test from the first time. I recommend this school to everyone.

I had 5 lessons with Alfred over a 2 week period, and he was everything I could have asked for! He was informative, polite, patient, and not only did he give me advice for the test, but also on insurance and life stuff as well — as I had just moved to L. A from overseas.
The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and he also gave me valuable advice on what the test involved, and how to prepare/​what to bring on the day!
I would highly recommend anyone to go see him, and I ended up passing my first test with a 99% pass rate! Thankyou Alfred :)

Everyone is very nice and professional from the girl at the front desk to the driving instructor. Prices are lower than the other driving schools, and everything is more convenient and easy. I did a couple of hours with Alfred, the instructor, and passed the test within my first try! I’m very happy I chose Hye Traffic for my driving school!
There were two weeks left until my permit expired! I didn’t know, and needed to get my six hours done to take the driving test. I called Hye Traffic and driving School, and the girl at the front desk answered and we set up an appointment over the phone. When I drove with Alfred, he taught me everything I needed to know about driving. Before I knew it, They already set up and appointment for me and I was on my way to take the test! If I didn’t come to Hye Traffic and Driving School, I don’t think there would be any way I would of gotten 100% within my first try! This whole process took less than a week, and learning with Alfred was very easy and I actually enjoyed it! I can’t believe I got my license so quickly and easily without any troubles! It was a pleasure learning with him, and I’m very happy I made Hye Traffic and Driving School my first choice in driving education!
