Very friendly and very helpful! Great price on placing lens in frames (including anti glare and scratch) everywhere else i checked out they were way too expensive. It was almost equivalent to buying completely new frames and lens. I will definitely be back and recommend to all my friends and family!

Great service here. The doctor is great and very helpful. The employees took a lot of time helping me pick out glasses that worked for me and they have a great selection. They called me and let me know when everything was ready for pick up (right on schedule). Over-​all a great place and I love my contacts and glasses.

What a first class establishment. Professional, organized and friendly. They carry the affordable Comfort Vision brand contact lenses. I highly recommend this OD.

After looking all over Unilocal for a local optometrist I took my chances on Happy Eyes Optical. The process was short and quick. I had my prescription on hand & my own set of frames. I received great help and for such a reasonable price. Not to mention I had my glasses in less than 3 days! I’ll definitely be recommending!

I am so glad I found this place! The service was awesome. I brought my own frames in and they made my glasses perfectly. I love them! The price was so much less than what I was paying before through Costco. I’m over them. I will be coming back here. The best part was it only took 3 days. I used to have to wait 2 – 3 weeks for my glasses. I’m very pleased.

Tony is a great guy and knows what he is doing. Always does a good job. I am not so crazy about his wife, she is very type A, sometimes obnoxious

Prices are incredibly low. my glasses were ready next day. they called me and texted me when they were ready.
I believe a business like this deserves as many customers as possible. I was not asked to leave this review. I’m paying to forward to other customers because I got extremely lucky.

I love Happy Eyes, Tony and Sally are so nice and work with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement. And better yet, if you don’t have insurance, their basic lenses are only $ 75, $ 25 more for anti-​glare.
I have not gotten frames from them, but they appear to have a good selection and reasonable prices. I get my frames at the LA Eyeworks annual sale, then take them here for lenses — and save lots!
Free 90 minute parking in the structure around the corner, off Maryland St.

Love love love! I’m in love with my new glasses and have been getting so many compliments!!! Not only is Sally amazing at life but she knows how to pick a pair of glasses!!! And she’s honest about which looks good or bad! She has great taste!!! Love her!
As for tony, love him too! He did a great job fitting the lenses and I see even better with my new glasses than with my contacts! Such a great guy and wonderful customer service!
I found these guys through Unilocal and I can say I was very happy about my discovery! Great customer service, wonderful styles and designs of frames, and overall a pleasure to work with such an awesome pair of people! I highly recommend them!

DOPE business owners!!! WOWOWOWOW — i found a new favorite. I was DREADING the whole experience… the week prior I was at an eye joint in Brentwood (aka blingwood), to which i will never return, as they catered to the rich and phat wallet holders.
Back to my wonderful and happy optical experience — it is the happiest eye place in LA county. I walked in with really no clue as to what I wanted… I knew that I did not want to spend over $ 500 for my scrips and frame. Expect to feel at home, as in I had NO shame to my game… told Salli (Salpi) I was looking to spend around $ 200 total. Salli made my dreams come true and didn’t rape my wallet!!! Salli couldn’t be nicer, funnier, hipper and more of anything and everything that is AWESOMENESS!
She is a sexy spec stylist — yeah, a made-​up title for Mrs. Sassy Salli. I love this place and totally, encourage you to go in with a great attitude, don’t be shy about whatever your limitations are ie be honest — you won’t be shunned for either two criteria. Honest hard working people who love to help and make you laugh. Thank you, again, for your courteous help and giving me a sexy spec makeover! I reviewed the wrong place

I wouldn’t even give this one star, but let it be my Christmas gift to them…
I called in to get a quote. The guy said they don’t quote over the phone. Guess why!
Well, I walked in having dressed up pretty decently and had expensive sunglasses over my hair. I guess the way u r dressed determines the price. I got quoted double what Hye Optic quoted.
Next, I decided to check my theory. My friend went in wearing her home clothes, and got quoted 25 $ cheaper for the same lenses, which was still significantly more expensive than Hye Optics.
Plus there is no parking, the variety is not as wide as Hye Optics, and they try to sell you the brandname frames regardless of what u need. I asked for a durable frame, and the guy offered me Ray-​Bans. Really?!
Not going back again. Save yourself a trip and go to Hye Optics. Over there u will also get a bottle of lense cleaner for 5 $ (free with help offer) and limitless free refills :)

Worse customer service ever:
After reading such great reviews, I went to Happy eyes for a quote.
I was looking for a Silhouette frame and high index lenses 1.74.
I asked specifically for Zeiss lenses, pricing, coatings etc… I wanted to make sure they carry those lenses (pretty expensive but the best lenses ever in my opinion)
When the little guy (owner? employee ?) saw me asking very technical/​specific questions, he got mad and became nervous-​aggressive… He yelled at me, «we don’t carry Zeiss or other brand lenses, we make our own lenses in our lab here … they are the best… since you don’t have a prescription, I can’t give you any quote, don’t waste my time, people like you ask for pricing and never buy…»
WTH! I told him: «is it a Glendale way of doing business? You guys are so rude! are you for real?»
He told me to get the F*** out… with a funny broken English… I couldn’t help it I laughed.
When it comes to eyeglasses I know my stuff, probably more than the average optician… I bought glasses in Europe, USA, cheap ones, very expensive ones etc… I can tell when a seller is fishy… this guy saw that he couldn’t fool me with his cheap eyeglasses… I think he can only sell his products to inexperienced or old naïve people…
I don’t know why this place has 4.5 stars rating… even the incompetent kids from LensCrafters are more professional than him and won’t spit in your face when you are about to spend $ 700…
However he deserves 2 stars for saving me from a huge mistake and also for making my day with his funny English language.
NB:
The only way small businesses can compete with corporations is an outstanding customer service… People would pay a little more if they are treated like kings…
Obviously Happy eyes doesn’t get it…
My prediction: this business will close down soon.

I have been a customer at Happy Eyes for a very long time. I think since the mid 1990s. Tony and Sally are lovely people, they work fast, are price competitive and willing to custom order most any eyewear you could want. Free parking in the exchange structure. Tell em I sent you!

FAST, EFFICIENT AND GREAT DEAL! Saving you a long story, I was in dire need of new lenses. I was ready to go to Lenscrafters and dish out the dollars. Luckily I thought of checking Unilocal first!
I was in and out of Happy Eyes in about 10 minutes. Tony said they would be ready in 48 hours and they were! My own frames, single vision and it was only $ 45! Costco price was $ 91 and Lenscrafter’s quoted «about $ 200» by phone.
Friendly, fast, no hard sales, just asked what I wanted, made a couple suggestions and took the order. Wah-​zoom! I’m telling everyone I know! This is a WINNER!

This place is wonderful. The store owner is a professional family guy. He tells customers how-​it-​is and doesn’t pressure you to buy stuff. I came here because I misplaced my old pair of glasses. I found one similar to the old ones.
The prices of the frames were a bit pricey, and I’m pretty sure you can find cheaper frames at Costco, or if you shop around some more. The prices of the lens prescriptions and the «add ons» were fair.
THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THAT… YOU GET YOUR GLASSES QUICKLY. Costco takes at least 7 — 10 BUSINESS days then you get your glasses. I literally got my new pair within 2.5 days of ordering ‘em.
The glasses fit right, and they were exactly what I expected.
