Wow. Just WOW! I was gonna wait for king taco to open when I was in the area. Good thing I didn’t. I’m a little picky on my breakfast burritos but this, right on the money! And their salsa Verde is just the right amount of spice! So I got the breakfast burrito with sausage. There’s cheese, eggs, sausages and potatoes, I couldn’t ask for more. Very filling for a burrito. Price was about average, 6.50, which was well worth it. Would come here again if I’m in the area. The guys working here is chill and nice too. There’s also lotion in the restroom!

Went there for the first time today. Great service, delicious food. It has limited seating, but it’s clean. The wife handles the restaurant and takes the orders while the husband does the cooking. The Taquitos with rice and beans were awesome! Will definitely go again!

It pains me to have to write this review because I have been going to Café Vidal pretty much once a week since it opened(I work nearby) and it was always the highlight of my week. I would tell my co-workers all the time about how good they were in quality and service. It was so nice to finally get good Mexican food in downtown Glendale. I’ve remained loyal even with the openings of Chipotle and King Taco to the point of chastising co-workers for not supporting a small business. So I really hope this gets the attention of the owner. Before about 5 months or so ago I would have given them 5 stars EVERY time. The food was so fresh. The service was timely and friendly. Then something changed. It started with them giving my vegetarian father an asada burrito instead of vegetarian(something we did not discover until we had already driven 20 mins away). Now, consistently, at least once a week, myself or my coworkers will have something that is really wrong. Sometimes they get the«cheap» cuts of beef and the asada will be HORRIBLE. Despite coming in once a week, every week(sometimes two), the cashier there seems to never know why I am there(I order to pick up every. single. time. really lady? the older lady who used to work there recognized me after only a few visits). Also that cashier is not at very friendly, warm or efficient and a huge departure from the previous one. Pick up times used to be 5−10mins and now when I call she tells me 15−20mins even though the amount of customers seems to be pretty consistent since they’ve opened. We’ve ordered large orders for the office and been missing items. We have gotten the wrong meat on burritos and cold beans, more than a dozen times each. They haven’t had paper/take home menus in I don’t even know how long. Random things keep changing too often(open/closing times, special prices, prices in general, quality of meats etc). I can’t even say you guys are reliable at all anymore. Maybe this nuanced and highly variable experience is what gives these types of mom and pop kind of places their charm!!! Now, maybe this isn’t enough for non-regulars to notice but I sure as hell do. I would love to continue to frequent this place(despite many of my co-workers vowing«never again!») because I do feel strongly about supporting good small businesses competing in a big business environment but if things do not change I will be going anywhere but here.

Came here with a friend for lunch. Ordered a carne asada Torta. Gotta say it was pretty decent. Not the best I’ve had, but definitely tasty. Lots of tasty options on the menu and so reasonably priced Torta was $ 6. My friend ordered a salad. Lunch for 2 with 2 sodas and 2 café de ollas was $ 20. Not many places in Glendale for Mexican food. You know Trump says«he’s building a wall» I didn’t have to jump a wall to get to vidals. No wall here. Lady was super nice and kept checking in with us to make sure everything was cool and it was. Will definitely return here again.

Ordered an Al pastor burrito and guacamole. Burrito was 70% rice, very little flavor and the salsa was bland. The guacamole was fine but given all the other options for Mexican food I won’t be coming back.

Went in this morning to pick up breakfast burritos for my girlfriend and I. The restaurant is small, but welcoming and pleasant to be in. Customer service was nothing short of friendly. My girlfriend and I both had a spinach burrito with egg whites, potatoes, chorizo and cheese — I also added avocado to mine. These burritos also came with a few chips and some salsa which I appreciated because a lot of establishments will charge. Overall the burritos are pretty good and my girlfriend loved hers. The only thing that sort of bothered me is their only choice of meat being pork. I tend to stay away from all sort of pork so if given the choice of turkey bacon or something like this I would’ve enjoyed my burrito better.

I placed an order for take out. Not only was it quick, but so damn affordable. The workers are so nice and the breakfast burrito is to die for. I got the one with bacon and added sausage… WOW i wish I got a full one to myself lol.

This place was amazing! I got the carnitas nachos, so good bro. The cheese was really good not like chipotles cheese. The restaurant was super clean. Friendly workers. Definitely will come back next time I’m in Cali.

As much as I feel bad giving this place a bad review because it’s a small business, I feel like its my moral obligation. We came here on a Saturday morning to get some brunch. Most of the items I ordered was not available. I tried to order a couple of things and they either don’t have the ingredients or out of it. When we came the credit card machine was not working as well. So as you can imagine it was not a good start. The person that ordered after me even asked the lady, «what do you have?». Let’s talk about the food. We ordered a make your own omelet which was okay, I mean if you choose the ingredients it should be good right? 2 of the items that we originally wanted in the omelet was not available. it came with potatoes which are really good. I ordered enchiladas with mole, it was cold. The mole was not good and not hot. I couldn’t eat it so we ordered additional french toast. It was a disappointment, it was made with regular thinly sliced white bread. It was bad. I don’t know what the hype is about this restaurant but I definitely didn’t get what made them deserve that 4 ½ star.

Great place with great prices and great friendly attitude. There’s no doubt that Vidal Café has one of the best Mexican food in Glendale. I’ve already tried burritos, tacos, quesadilla, carne asada. I remember also their amazing guacamole. I really liked the fact, that this place is mostly like small café, its not a noisy fast food point, especially in the evening time it becomes at very quite place, where you can enjoy a really delicious food. Sometimes I found the place closed, in some weekends and holydays, but Unilocal was showing that they are open, be carefull))

Nice combination of seasoning with just the right sprinkling of fat to make your fingers lickable. Indeed licking fingers will take place after you devour tacos(scouted the Asada, Carnitas and Chorizo). There are gringo breakfast items as well, but I rather stick to the tacos($ 1.5 a pop). Friendly staff, speedy service and just enough out of the way that you can enjoy your meal. Must try.

We love this little Mom-and-Pop-type place. The usual order: carne asada burrito, chips, and salsa. The salsa is spicy, and the burritos are generously sized and tasty. The hours are somewhat limited: they close fairly early and aren’t open at all on Sunday. Still, it’s great to have a place like this in Glendale.

I love this tiny Mexican restaurant in Glendale. It is fairly new like about a year. It feels like a cozy, real, warm home cooking from a Mexican family. The food here are freshly prepared & so tasty, and portion is good enough. The price point is great for either breakfast/lunch/dinner. Very affordable~! I came here for breakfast/brunch with my friend We both were pleasantly surprised by the food, ambiance, and kindness of the staff(prolly the owner mama?) We both enjoyed their flavored Agua fresca drinks. I will surely come back bringing more friends & family to check out. I really wish this restaurant stay in business for a long~~~~~time. Thank you for a healthy, yummy meal!

It was good breakfast food. The eggs benedict was a bit too salty. The potatoes were good. The omelet was good. The coffee was pretty horrible… too strong, bad flavor, and cold. The music… well, let’s just say it wasn’t very pleasurable. In my opinion, the music shouldn’t distract from the pleasure of the meal. I’d go back, but only order food and take it to go.

We had to do some shopping at the mall, but did not want to deal with the crowds or the bad food at the food court. This place is a small café. You walk up to the counter and order. Then they bring it out to your table when its ready. I ordered the Chorizo breakfast burrito. It was large and filled with tasty goodness. It came stuffed with egg, potato, chorizo and cheese. Each of which added flavor and or texture to the mix. It was more than enough to fill me up. The prices are cheap and the food comes relatively quickly. If you wander just a block from the mall this will be much better than anything you can get there.

Yes! YUM! I had the steak torta and it was pretty amazing! First off the size is pretty unbelievable and the flavors are amazing. I wrapped half and enjoyed it the next day cold. This is a very good torta! We shared 3 tacos — all very good too! My hubs had a burrito and that was yum-tastic also! This is a great spot — would recommend more for lunch or an early dinner… we went at 7:15 on a Saturday night and could definitely feel the closing time vibe(close at 8 closed on Sunday). There is street parking on Brand, or parking in the Exchange. All the seats are set for two. If you are a group of four, you are going to want to take your food to-go.

Tasty, inexpensive, convenient, and the service is great: I might be falling in Unilocal-love. I came here with my sister on a Monday night after a quick search for authentic Mexican grub within walking distance of my place. It was a tall order and Café Vidal delivered. We were seated immediately and our order was taken shortly thereafter. I ordered a small horchata, and four tacos(2 asada, 1 chicken, and 1 carnitas), my sister got a chicken fajita burrito, and we also ordered chips and guacamole to share. This feast cost us under $ 20, and was de-freakin-licious! The guacamole was chunky and fresh, and even my chicken taco was very tender(I find that is the meat that’s often chewy at taco places, but not here! The asada and carnitas were also tender and flavorful). Plus the salsa was just spicy enough. I’m pretty sure my sister and I didn’t exchange three words as we ate because it was an all-consuming kind of food euphoria. Looking for authentic inexpensive tacos and burritos? GOHERE. I know I’ll be back: I’ll be the gal sitting in the corner in a meat-stained shirt gorging herself on tacos. See you there!
