Glendale University College of Law

I completed 4 years at Glendale University College of Law and wanted to write this review for people potentially considering law school and this school in particular.
First, let me say that law school is a major commitment. Please do not go to law school if you are not serious. This school offers a 4 year evening program. Yes, you will be tired. Yes, it will drain you. And yes, it will be a marathon and not a sprint. But if you work hard and stick it through, you will be able to graduate with a JD from a California Bar Accredited school and sit for the CA Bar Exam. This could be achieved with an affordable investment AND while keeping your day job and supporting your family. You just need to remain focused and disciplined.
That being said, being a student at GUCL has been an extreme pleasure. The professors are all attorneys or active judges that practice during the day and teach in the evenings. This has been a tremendous value to me personally since I like the practical side of law and not just the theoretical (You know what they say, «those who can’t do, teach.») At GUCL, all of them «do», and they teach well as a result.
You also get to build a lasting bond with your peers because you have stuck it through the program together for four entire years. These are the types of timeless bonds that are only forged out of adversity. I only wish that I had invested in more of these relationships sooner and not until the 2^nd or 3^rd year.
The Administration also holds an annual formal Dinner Banquet at the Sheraton in Studio City to award the highest performing students and mingle. This is a very beautiful venue and fantastic event. So much so that, again, I regret not having participated as a freshman or sophomore. Learn from my mistakes, my friends!

I attended a open house here and Glendale School of Law is an incredible choice, or so it would seem it would have been. The mock class was a great experience. I mostly enjoyed the dean and his ability to make you really think about what you were doing before embarking on a law career. Going that night made me decide I wanted to really become an attorney. This school is top notch. It is accredited and you can sit for the BAR exam upon completion and you can get in without taking the LSTAT if they accept you.
IF I lived closer Glendale would have been my choice to attend all four years.
