Be aware, California certificate of compliance is a standard fee statewide. Whereas ETF surcharges vary by station and area.

No appointments necessary. Walk-​Ins accepted. Calling in before arrival has quickest turn around.

Testing usually under 15 min. Quick, professional and friendly staff with clean, large waiting room full of magazines and refreshments.

Closed major holidays. Due to nature of industry, we reserve the right to temporarily be closed without notice for maintenance, repairs and updates of testing equipment, we apologize for any inconvenience during these limited and few events.

Established in 2010.

As of January 1st, 2013 We are now a STAR certified station. Your DMV renewal notice will state if you are required to get STAR certification, we can now certify these types of vehicles also.

Alen has a good sense of humor and a pleasant personality! Service was great: it took less than 15 minutes from the time I showed up to the time I left and Alen had some good advice about making a renewal with an address change an easier process.

After reading the reply it seems like theres information that was never assessed properly. I did not agree to the price when arrived. I was asked «is this the car that has communication problems» and I said yes. I even told him before you do anything please tell me if its not communicating or not. The worker started without stating ANY pricing. I had to ask the worker how much after he had found out there was a fuse problem not asking me if I wanted to continue further. The issue is simple. I wasn’t told how much at the beginning. If I would have known I wouldn’t have shown up. Obviously this situation was bigger than they thought so now in the reply theres things that were never mentioned or communicated. These lies are unbearable. Im done with this place. DONE!

Too busy smoking hookah and watching soccer to bother helping me. They never even looked at me or noticed me. I won’t do business with anybody like that. Don’t bother stopping here and move up the street a little or even out if Glendale.

Quick and easy service.
Comfy couches, stacks of magazines, and beverages for you while you wait. I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes with no wait on a weekday morning. As stated earlier, he will send the results of the test directly to the DMV for you electronically.
Highly recommend especially if you live in the Atwater Village, Los Feliz, Silver Lake area for ease of location
Check in on Unilocal and get a coupon for a reduced rate that is lower or comparable to the surrounding smog check centers.

The guy working here is brisk, maybe that comes with the job. My car failed the smog and he was less than helpful about giving me references for auto mechanics. I get it, it’s not a guarantee that his reference will get the job done. But when I returned after putting $ 200 in car repairs in to resolve the problem he asked me if my mechanic ran a «pretest», to which I had no idea I was supposed to get. After my car failed again he stated I should have asked for a pretest from my mechanic. Well… Thanks for letting me know AFTER the fact. I had reached out for this kind of info after the first failed smog and got no help.

I rolled my ten year old car in here for a smog check this week. The lot is small, but I didn’t come to park so it doesn’t matter. The man at the counter was very friendly and took my car right away. The waiting room was clean and had plenty of reading material to keep me busy while I waited. The test was fairly quick. I passed! Thank goodness. The man at the counter made polite conversation while I cashed out. I would recommend this place to a friend!

Check in on Unilocal to redeem a coupon for a $ 31.75 smog test, but once you include the smog certificate fee, the total comes out to $ 45. Ah stupid fees. Anyways, they’re pretty efficient. There’s very limited parking because it’s along a busy street, and the entrance to the Smog Check Center is quite small– aka, one car can enter/​exit at a time.
While you wait, there’s fast food across the street, but they didn’t have the dine-​in option and since it was upwards 95+ degrees, we didn’t want to dine outside! Tho, the $ 1.99 philly cheesesteaks were a bit tempting.

A fairly quick and painless experience. I may be slightly biased because I’d been worried that my 10-​year-​old car was going to fail, but it passed with flying colors. :)
Other than my car passing the test, I liked that I could check in on Unilocal or Foursquare to get the deal instead of printing out a coupon. Convenient and eco-​friendly!
They also have a large assortment of magazines to read while you wait.
My smog check took about 20 minutes, and the results were sent electronically to the DMV. Super easy!
