It’s just ok. Looks nice on the outside and really not that bad inside but I think it needs upgrading. Paid $ 98 a night for two queen beds. Pretty affordable… It’s close to food places, gas stations and the grocery store is across he street. The staff was friendly. The only issues I had were that they didn’t have a roll away bed available after requesting it ahead of time and it’s loud due to being on a busy street. The beds aren’t really comfortable either.

My stay here was just for a night because I was taking my licensing exam down the street. It was everything I needed at the time and the staff was really kind. I think it was a tad over-​priced for the actual quality of the place in comparison to places I have stayed in nicer cities with more upgraded interiors. The bed was comfortable and in the end, that’s all I really care about. Thanks for the customer service and my comfortable stay :)

Good place to stay on a budget! Safe, free wifi (that was actually fast and didn’t lag at all), a decent selection of cable channels, has a fridge and microwave, continental breakfast (waffle maker, pastries, coffee/​juice), and the front desk was friendly. The only con is the blankets are a little thin.

This motel is nestled in between the 2 and 134 freeways. Located right behind Glendale High School, so the traffic can fluctuate, but for the most part it’s alright. Noise was moderate, but I slept with the a/​c on so that drowned nearly everything out. There’s a Ralph’s across the street, just in case you forget anything or need snacks!
The motel itself is a little dreary from the exterior, but inside it’s not too bad. My room was clean and stain free, and didn’t have a pungent chemical odor. The a/​c worked wonders for the hot afternoons!
The flat screen TV was nice, and there was plenty of channels, including HBO. The mini fridge came in handy, as I was staying there for about a week. There was plenty of closet space, although it was partially blocked by the sink and the fridge/​microwave.
The bathroom overall was good, shower had good pressure and warmed pretty quickly. There was enough toiletries for those who may have forgotten to pack some with them.
There’s plenty of stuff in the immediate vicinity if you need a place to dine, and the motel is probably 10 minutes away from the Glendale Galleria and the Americana.
I was overall fairly impressed with the hotel, and would stay there again if I had a reason to be in the Glendale area!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights it was clean and the beds were surprisingly super comfy it had a big hdtv which was great. The only con I have about this place is the parking. They have a tiny parking lot and when it’s full you have to park out on the street other then that everything else was great for the price.

I would like to thank the staff, I read all these bad reviews. Will I just stayed from the from July 31^st thru the Aug 2. I arrived late they saved the room on the lower floor as requested. The room was fantastic comfortable beds great TV set I will come back again and more times anytime I come back. Also the military and veterans discount was great

I was afraid to come here since some of the reviews I went though said they found little hairs and crumbs in their hotel rooms. I ended up booking 2 of the hotel rooms for 4 nights last week for our group of 5 to stay at while sightseeing around LA. The parking lot is limited and the place seemed a little sketchy when I got there but when I stepped inside the place it seemed very friendly.
PROS:
Free continental breakfast ~(waffle maker, English muffin, mini muffins, cereal, pre-​packaged pastries, coffee maker, milk, orange and apple juice machine, and oatmeal and hot chocolate packets.
Easy check-​in with the staff
Maids clean the rooms and provide new towels everyday
Ice machine
There’s a flatscreen TV, mini fridge, microwave, and iron with board in every room
There are many food places nearby: Popeyes/​Pizza Hut/​McDonalds/​Jack in the Box/​Starbucks/​Chinese food places
Very close to 2 gas stations
CONS:
Limited parking
No elevator (makes it hard to haul up your luggage if your rooms on the 2^nd floor
Found a toenail clipping on the chair in my room and crumbs in my bed which was gross
Very thin sheets
My room was non-​smoking but it smelt like a smokers house
The low setting for the air conditioning is like full blast
Screen is teared for the window
Overall a decent place to stay if you just want a place to sleep and have free breakfast while staying in LA. I’d come here again for the price and its relative location to other places. Ps great place to stay if you enjoy shopping because it is 1.5 miles away from the Americana at Brand and the Glendale Galleria.

No cons here. Booked this last minute for the 4^th of July off of one of Expedia’s Last Minute deals. Its clean with free parking, not to mention it was $ 78 for the sale. Plus there’s free waffles for breakfast.

Well i showed up at the hotel early then i was treated like an idiot by some younger guy working the night shift, because i wanted to see if I could check in early, and he broke down to me in barney terms that id have to pay for two nights even if they could check me in early, which i was prepared to do. They didnt have a vacancy… no big deal. I waited the five hours, and came back… this older woman was very rude to me she told me that i could only stay one night. She spoke to me as if i wasn’t a paying customer, just a stray homeless person off the street. I am glad im only «allowed» to stay one night… ill pay more for a much nicer room and a much more accommodating staff. I thought the hospitality business was supposed to be hospitable…

Stayed here one night with my boyfriend. We had a bottom floor room with a king size bed. Let me just say I didn’t have super high expectations staying at this hotel. But the reviews on Unilocal said it was clean and comfortable? No way.
Cleanliness: I didn’t take my shoes off at all once I saw the inside of this room. The carpet was dirty and sticky. I found hairs in the bed and on the toilet.
Bed: besides above mentioned hairs, not comfortable. The springs were very present in my back all night.
Sound: I wasn’t able to fall asleep until 4am due to the loud creak from the person above us walking around all night.
I’m sorry to say (cause the price is good) but I highly recommend skipping it!

Had to stay here for a day because I was traveling, would not recommend this motel the rooms are very small and very dirty, not to mention a bad odor. It ruin my stay because the neighbors were very loud until 2 AM.

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend while in a trip with the family. I got nothing but good things to say about this place. First it was in a great location, quite, near gas stations, restaurants and easy freeway access. The front desk person was extremely nice. I got a bottom unit near the washing machines, and it was still quite. The rooms are super clean, and very nice. The free waffle break fest was good, saved us a few bucks. Great place to stay if your on a trip and not planning to stay in the hotel all day. Will recommend it to anyone and will stay here when I head down to LA again.

Room was clean and included ironing board and iron. Room also had microwave, fridge and hair dryer. Free waffle breakfast in the morning. Cheaper than the other hotels in the area. Very nice staff. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you!

We needed a warm place to sleep for one night at end of December, 2014. Were there less than 12 hours. This was the right price. Clean and quiet. Not fancy. Met our needs well. Grabbed salads from the grocery store across the street. In the future we’ll check their availability first if we need housing in the area.

This motel is clean on the outside. Clean but old on the inside. Easy in. Easy out. Only stayed long enough to shower and sleep. I gave an extra star for the customer service and clean eating breakfast area. Owners are very friendly. May not stay here more than one night because I really love plush hotels… but was great for the night.

First time here. Room 105 was large and most importantly, clean! Bed was comfortable although pillows were thin and lackluster. AC worked great, hubby likes room pretty cold and was happy with the temp all night. One of the best things was the large amount of electrical outlets, most I think I’ve ever seen AND conveniently placed. Can’t comment on he breakfast, we’re never up early enough to take advantage of it, but I did see a waffle making on the counter when checking in. So that’s a bonus. Even tho it’s next to Glendale high school, we experience no noise from it at all the 4 nights we stayed. Will stay again when we need a room in this part of LA.

Giving 3 stars b/​c it’s affordable, but I didn’t really enjoy my stay.
Overall, I would say if you really need a cheap place to stay — choose this hotel. It’s in a quiet area and you can’t beat the price. We had to say 3 nights in June while waiting for our apartment. I’d spring for a nicer hotel next time but this is the affordable route.
When we checked in, the front desk lady didn’t have our reservation — though we HAD a confirmation # and proof on my BF’s phone. We reserved online. She almost turned us away! They had just given our room to someone else. But things happen… luckily they had one room left, but it was a more expensive one and she charged us the difference … okay.
The cleaning job was not great. I didn’t expect a 4-​star hotel or anything but finding stray hairs and small stains that could have easily been scrubbed off on the bathroom floor/​walls was a little unsettling. Then, when we returned each evening, we could tell someone came by, but they merely replaced our towels and dropped off some soap. My BF was okay with this but since it wasn’t exactly clean in the first place I was a little put off.
In the end, I’d still recommend for those on a tight budget b/​c hotels in this area are so expensive.

The room was clean and the place quiet.
The mattress was so comfortable that I am glad I set the alarm.
Breakfast was a bit sparse, and there was no half-​and-​half for coffee. I would have liked an in-​room coffee maker.
Parking was fine and the staff was courteous.
I definitely woulds stay again.

Checked in the afternoon. Person behind the desk was pleasant and nice, quiet. The whole hotel just seemed quiet and reserved.
Saw a small pool and hot tub, which seemed nice, but not something I’d like to use since it’s in front of the parking lot and everything.
Room smells bad, not an unpleasant disgusting odor but like toilet cleaner. The kind you find in port-​a-​potties. I couldn’t stop complaining about it, but you get used to it I guess.
Room was clean. Looked like a standard lower end hotel room, with it’s fugly comforter set and décor. I am a stickler or these things and so I found small discounted looking but noticeable stains on the sheets. Lint and stuff. Just enough for me to want to sleep on top of the sheets.
Theres high speed wired and wireless Internet and cable. Didn’t take advantage of the Internet, but the TV kept bugging out every few minutes or so.
There’s a microwave, fridge, and iron in the room which is nice!
Free danishes, muffins, coffee, juice and cereal in the morning (ends 10am). Grabbed a cup of juice and two danishes at check out and we were off.
Overall, met expectations. Not a bad place to stay. There’s a Ralph’s nearby an plenty of things down the street.

I enjoy staying here when I come into town. It is a great value for the money. This Econolodge is locally owned by the Patel family and they always make you feel right at home. If you need anything, just ask. Mrs. Patel is especially pleasant. In addition to pool & hot tub, they have free wired AND wireless internet access, washer and dryer (at a minimal cost), complementary morning newspaper, complementary danish, coffee and juice in the morning.
TRAVELER’S TIP: Unless you are military (which I would suggest you declare), you get the best rate by using a Sam’s Club Membership card or with the 2^nd best option– AAA Membership. You end up saving between $ 5 – 20 per night. They also have two rooms with just a single queen– you will get an even better rate booking one of these rooms in addition to using your Sam’s or AAA card.
