I needed a hive removed from my roof. Several other companies quoted me a large figure and couldn’t come out for 4 – 7 days. Desert Sky came out within a few hours. The service man was courteous and professional. He removed the hive and even fixed my roof. Be ready to pay a premium if you want the job done right.

This guys have HORRIBLE customer service. Could not tell you about the product cause they never made their appointment I scheduled with them. When I called back all they could do is give me a time slot that would force me to miss my boys softball game. This is even after I called and confirmed original appointment. Don’t waste your time, they do not know how to treat customers or keep appointments.

I came home to find bees above my front door! I called Desert Sky in a panic and the gentlemen I spoke to was very nice and said that he would be at my home within the hour. He showed up within 30 mins! Then it was time for the bill and I was shocked at the affordable service charge. It was far less expensive from what I was charged two months ago for a bee issue with another company!

So I found this place online, after discovering a beehive in a tree in our yard. Wish i would’ve read Unilocal first! They also showed a $ 25 discount on any bee removal service and when I called the guy who answered was friendly and said they would come today and give a 1 HR courtesy call. I decided to go with them.
So, the «one hour» courtesy call came and we were not at home. However, we had planned accordingly and could get home in 15 – 20 min. The guy said he’d bee (pun intended) there in 20 min. I call that a 20 min courtesy call, not 1 hour! It worked out and we made it home before he arrived because it was more like 25 – 30 min. Guy shows up and has the enthusiasm and service of well… A rock!
I take him to show the hive and he says, «Ok, $ 140». I asked him about the $ 25 discount and he said, «ok, $ 115» and walked away, almost angry I think. It took him about 15 min total to do his work, incl prep time to put on his protective gear. Afterwards, he wrote up the invoice and said that we may have another problem if the bees come back. What?! No type of guarantee, I ask?! He says for $ 25 he can come back and spray if they come back. I asked, «what if they come back in say 2 years or something?». He says for $ 50 he can guarantee it til then. What kind of sham is this? I decline and give him a check for $ 115.
I would recommend you buzz around (ok I can’t resist the puns) and look for a place with better service and some sort of guarantee, even if for a short period.

I’m giving a three star rating because of a repeated problem that I have had with this company. My old roommate used to call to make the appointment for someone to come spray at our house. We had this done every month and it was a great price ($ 34/​month after initial appointment). We were really satisfied with the service and the outcome. Once I began making the call to schedule appointments, I have had a lot of trouble getting in touch with anyone. I would leave a voicemail with my contact information letting them know that I was in need of service and I would not hear back so I would call a few days later. At one point, this past fall, I actually had to search for a new pest control company because I desperately needed service and I could not get ahold of anyone at Desert Sky after multiple attempts. I was not satisfied with the price of the new company or the outcome of the service provided, Desert Sky definitely has an unbeatable price and the outcome of the service has always been great.
I am now having the same problem again as I have needed an exterminator for the summer months. Last month, my call was not returned and so another roommate called instead and got ahold of someone right away. An appointment was set up for the following morning but no one showed. My roommate called again letting them know that no one showed for the appointment and so a new appointment was set for later in the week. Someone did come out and sprayed inside and outside the house, as well as outside the back gate leading to a nasty alley behind the house (this has been the typical procedure for each time they have come to the house, which I think is very thorough). Now, it is a month later and I am in need of an exterminator again… I left a message four days ago stating that I wanted to schedule an appointment for someone to come out to spray this month, making sure that I left my name and contact information. I have not heard back and I’m wondering what the deal is… I always pay at the time of service, I am courteous on the phone (it’s not like I leave messages complaining or anything), and I have even started to tip the person who comes out for the service. I’m really confused about why none of my calls have been returned, yet my roommate can get ahold of someone? And it hasn’t been just one time where my call was not returned, it has been multiple times.
I feel like I should be giving an even lower rating because of the poor communication of the company and I think I’m being pretty generous with my rating at this point. If there hadn’t been problems with getting in touch with the company, I would have given them a four or five star rating… service is great and prices are very reasonable.

They came out, and said they sprayed, but actually they did not check their machine at all, so they charged me for doing essentially nothing.
Just had to have another company — Anteater Exterminators out, and they confirmed no prior powder or sprays were applied.

Just used their service they showed up on time… employee courteous but not dressed very professional… Used them to control scorpions which cost an additional $ 25.00 will update to see if they have taken care of the problem

After a couple of weeks I can honestly say that this company is not worth trying. I have seen earwigs, cricket and spider inside home. I see crickets outside the doorway. So, basically the spray used by this company is not effective at all.

Thank you bug guy Paul for not taking my money even though I called in a panic when I saw the gigantic swarm of bees getting drunk in my pond and forming a punching bag in my tree.
What I learned:
*bees are very docile when swarming (they don’t attack unless their queen mum is)
*swarms will stay for a day or two until the scouts find a new home
*if swarms stay for about a week, they are considered established
*It costs about $ 120 – 140 to remove a swarm
*I run and scream like a baby when tons of bees surround me
Thank you again for being the only one out of 3 – 4 bug people called who was honest and didn’t try to take my money for a problem that would have righted itself on its own.
The bees are now full of pond water and have as of this morning dispersed toward a new home.
WHEW!
I’ll be looking to this place for more permanent bug extermination…
