I have been going to this market weekly for the last few years and Ray the owner has always been extremely helpful and courteous. In this day and time it is nice be able to go to a market where people remember you and genuinely want to help. Check it out… you won’t be disappointed.

This place has no price tags on their merchandise, so the cashier charges whatever he wants to charge. One day he charges $ 3and next day he charges $ 4.50 for same items. All the negative reviews are TRUE and no one should go through the cashier’s attitude. Customers don’t deserve that kind of treatment.

Been here a few times to buy snacks and/or drinks. I gave only two stars because of how the place looks and the guy behind the counter has an attitude sometimes. Whatever you do, don’t park in his spots then go to the laundry mat next door. That really bothers him!

Let’s just start off by saying, if they could steal from you and get away with it, they would. This place is a joke. I’m shocked the community hasn’t tried to get this place shut down. I wouldn’t usually waste time leaving a review for a liquor store but hopefully someone would read this and run the other direction.

I was walking in to buy cigarette, you know what? When I ask how much? The cigarette was $ 4.49, I gave theto him $ 1×4 banknote and a $ 2 banknote. And I’m waiting for change. And he told me it was $ 6 total. Really? I ask him how much? He said $ 4.49+tax, and he gave me 5 cent for a change. Finally, I told him its not $ 6 dollars. Or even more than $ 5. He was very angry and told me to leave. WTF… I finally return the cigarette and get my $ 6 back. Careful at this place… He will try to cheat you Everytime you walk in. I’m sure many people get cheated at this place. Suck !

It’s an okay place. Nothing good or bad about it. Guy at counter is friendly enough. Fine for a pop in if you need something fast, otherwise Verdugo Liquor or gas station mart are better for price and variety. Really nice to have next to the laundromat and Montrose park. Parking lot is fine. If it gets busy, just park on verdugo.

Extremely friendly, helpful owner & staff. Sometimes that’s rare in the foothills(beware of «hill people») Great place to grab some booze on the way to a party or beer for Dodger Stadium if you’re in a hurry. Even when there is a line, they are fast and efficient. They greet people warmly and don’t have a suspicious«what are you about to steal» or «you buy now!» vibe. Conveniently located next to a laundromat in case you need a frosty beverage(or a companion — there is seating outside where the clerks chill when the place is empty) while doing laundry.
