Ara D. Kadoyan, MD

This doctor should not be in practice. I went to Dr. (?) Kadoyan because I have severe depression and anxiety. I have also been diagnosed with bipolarizm. I am a long time type one diabetic. He saw me for 5 minutes, jotted down some notes and gave me some meds. I don’t know why I trusted him, but I know that I was willing to try some kind of meds, because I have not benifited from all the years of therapy I already received and felt that it may help me. He gave me two meds, ESCITALOPRAM and GEODON and instructed me to take them together at night. After a couple of weeks, I had felt worse than ever and decided to look up the meds to see if maybe I was having a bad reaction and because I felt like I was going to have a heart attack, or a nervous breakdown. In my research online, I found 3 different websites the clearly said that these meds SHOULD NOT be taken together because they could lead to fatal heart attacks or heart problems. When I called the doctor to inform him what I discovered, his reaction was, «that’s too bad. If you don’t like it, go to another doctor!“I am now forced to do so and it is not easy to do and I feel that I am more depressed now than I ever was because of this jerk!
DO NOT SEE THIS GUY. I filed a complaint with my insurance company.

This place is ridiculous! Receptionist is so unprofessional and rude. Every time I come here whether it’s a last minute appointment or a months in advance appointment the doctor is always running late and I’m waiting for 40 – 60 minutes. Dr. kadoyan does not care about his patients he simply writes a prescription and could care less if you come back or not. Did I mention that after letting the rude receptionist know that I was tired of waiting she begins to argue with me and immediately starts talking in Armenian to her coworker. This place is a joke and I should have found another place a long time ago. Today was my last day and I will look for a place that cares about their patients and is more professional. They don’t even deserve one star. If you’re thinking of coming here I’d run the other way! I mean look at all their one star reviews it’s because it’s TRUE! This place should be reported and out of business

Had a very very bad experience at Dr kadoyans office been seeing him since August of 2014 and jus had my last visit last Tuesday I was Goin thru a bad situation with my mental health condition and other situations that I ask the Dr to help me with he didn’t want to help me and treated me mean and careless about my condition and told me quote to go back to my other Dr’s and for them to help you. I was very disgusted with this Dr and never went back to him after that… he is horrible and careless and the staff wasn’t helpful either with my situation… I do not recommend for anyone to see this Dr…

Oh my God how rude the staff is all i asked was why so many bad review she cussed me out, how un professional is that

If you go to the psychiatrist to get help with mental health, consider another psychiatrist. I had a horrible experience here just trying to get the office to work with my insurance company to fill my medication and YES they accept my insurance plan. It was essentially impossible to work with this psychiatrist’s office and when I really needed help getting a quick refill they were unwilling to help. I don’t think they should be in this business if they have no intention of helping people. Save yourself the headache, stress and depression of working with Dr. Kadoyan’s office. Total waste of time and energy.

why do I aways read reviews AFTER the fact?!? I could have saved myself a horrible experience and a very frustrating waste of time. This guy is a freak and so are the dumpy broads who work in that dirty office. I won’t go into the details cuz its too long and ridiculous, but not that dissimilar to the other reviews .
fyi. he refuses to do pre-​authorizations that are required by the insurance to pay for certain meds.
and this was after he got the dosage wrong (so I had to go back) and he had to write a second prescription, which I still can’t fill, unless I was to fork up 550 $ because he won’t fill out a form and fax it back to the insurance.
I said I wasn’t going to get into it… but damn. this all took 3 to visits to his office 2 stops at the pharmacy several hours on the phone. its just all so backwards. And they are aggressive on top of it. STEER CLEAR

Don’t go see this guy!
After changing insurance plans, I needed to continue treatment for an ongoing condition, so my insurance referred me to this jagoff. He spent less than 5 minutes with me and didn’t look at any of the medical records or proof of diagnosis I brought. He asked me 0 questions about my symptoms or past experiences with treatment. He said a total of 15 words to me the entire appointment. After I told him what I was previously taking, he stated «I don’t prescribe that. If you don’t like it, you can call your insurance and go see a new doctor.» Then, he threw a script for an anti depressant at me (I am very happy and very much NOT depressed, thank you!), and told me to come back in 3 months. No thanks, buddy!
The Yerevan Medical Association called. They want their phony degree back, you incompetent fool.

I’m not actually writing this review about Dr. Kadoyan as I wasn’t even able to see the doctor. The reception staff is completely incompetent.
I called to make an appointment and was told that I would need to make my copayment with cash or a check. I made the appointment as late in the day as possible because I didn’t want to miss too much work.
When a receptionist called to confirm my appointment I was told I could only pay with cash. When I told them that I had previously been told that I could pay with a check they claimed absolute ignorance and reiterated that it was cash only. I said fine and made my way to an ATM as I really wanted to get into the doctor as soon as possible.
I left work 2 hours early to be at this appointment but once I got there I was told that yes they do accept health net and MHN but not through covered california. I asked them why and told them I had missed out on 2 hours of pay for this appointment. I was told that this had happened before so the receptionist could see why I would be frustrated. I asked, «if this has happened before then why don’t you ask new patients whether they are insured through covered california when they are making the appointment?» No answer. Absolutely ridiculous.
