American Tire Depot – Glendale II

Purchased tires here 3 years ago and had an awesome experience. Patrick still owns the place. Told Chris (service manager) that my front tire was leaking, but a nearby place couldn’t find the leak. They found it right away and plugged it up. I didn’t have to wait very long despite the fact that other customers were there. It was free of course since I purchased my tires there.

Everybody had fair customer service, but in the end I got ripped off and had my time and money wasted. Brought a car in for a tire rotation, they suggested balancing them, but I declined like a noob. So they rotated my tires, told me not to worry about the cost. Let me go for free. That was pretty nice of them, right? Immediately afterwards, my car starts getting vibration in the steering wheel at ~65mph. I come back, pay to get the tires balanced. Doesn’t fix the problem. Now it’s doing it at ~70mph. I decided take the car to a different wheel and tire shop instead (that has really taken good car of everyone I’ve ever known to go there), where they have a computerized machine to balance the tires (unlike the wheel and stick method used here, LOL) and they show me how I have 2 wheels that are severely bent (they were in the rear, that’s why rotating them to the front made it more obvious something wasn’t round). Balancing them fixed nothing. Obviously they would have noticed the problem (you can see it as soon as the wheels are off the car), took my money, and said nothing. Go somewhere else, they’re shady/don’t give a shit.

Chris is awesome! I was on my way to an appointment that I couldn’t miss but got a bolt in my tire. Even though I need new tires he patched it on the spot for free! I’m definitely coming back tomorrow to have him put new tires on.

I have the warrantee on my tires that American tire depot offers so if you get a flat they’ll repair it or replace it and you’re not out the full cost on a tire. I call this morning and the man wouldn’t help me. First he said he couldn’t look anything up due to a new operating service then he said the tire I need is in HESPERIA. So I asked if it could be transferred or if I actually had to drive to Hesperia to pick it up. He said he couldn’t help me and I had to call corporate. He just refused to honor the certificate I had purchased with HIS company! I called the corporate number he provided and Gilbert at the American tire depot on Glendale Blvd and Windsor was VERY patient with me despite how irritated and frustrated I was. JUST AVOID THIS LOCATION ALTOGETHER. THEY DONT WANT TO HELP YOU.

They fixed my tire very reasonably. Only downside is the sofa with the sprung springs.

I went to mercedes benz dealer on brand blvd for oil change and they asked 400 $ dollars for that service + and i have to wait for 2 or 3 hours… which is not working for me suddenly i chek online on my phone
For nearest auto repair and service and i found American tire depo central and i asked for same services and they offereing me 150 $ wich is great + it only take 25 min to get the job finish. Greatest costumer service. Next time i definitely go there for other services on my car

This place gets and deserves a «0»!! Beware future customers. I went in for just an oil change, was recommended new tires, so of course I listened to the «professionals» or so I thought. Got my oil changes and then got 4 new tires.
I mentioned that I saw a couple online coupons for tires and did not remember what the offer was because I was not intending on getting new tires. I asked the friendly service guy Chris that I noticed coupons and if he can give me the best option based on those promos online. Chris said sure. Got the tires for a good price. I checked after I left the place and the promo was buy 3 tires get one free. I ended up paying for all 4! The worst part is yet to come.
Chris and his crew that put on the new tires and did the oil change DID NOT PUT THE OIL LID BACK ON in the motor!!! I realized it when I was traveling up north later that night to the Merced area (about 280 miles north of LA). Stopped for gas after 200 miles and noticed the hood letting out smoke. This was at 10 pm. Walked to the front and oil was spilling every where, opened the hood and it was covered in oil and engine was smoking! Whoever worked on the car with Chris did not close the oil lid on the motor. No one to contact from American Tire Depot at that time of day. I was lucky no fire was started and my motor didn’t blow!
Called them the next day and they offered to clean my engine. Went in and not a single sorry was said, they took my car before I even walked inside and sprayed the engine with water… got a refund for the oil change and they didn’t do anything about the tire promotion. Left upset and angry still. Everything they put my through, all they did was offered a can of brisk and spray my engine with water and a refund for the oil change after I had to buy more oil for my motor from the gas station. DO NOT GO HERE! Not to this location at least. It is independently owned and poorly managed well! Horrible customer service! Stay away from Chris and team!

American tire depot is the best service in Glendale! Always helpful, on time and change tires very fast!

Walked in on a Monday afternoon after discovering a nail in my front tire. The man at the front asked for the problem, took my keys and left the front desk. Unfortunately he didn’t give me an estimate of wait time or anything, and didn’t say much, but I sat down and waited because I wasn’t in a rush.
I was in and out in about 20 minutes and he only charged $ 10 to patch up my tire. 5 stars for quick, straight to the point service!

Good guys. 4 wheel alignment $ 69 w/​coupon. Got me in and out in under half an hour for a walk-​in (drive-​in?) appointment. Everything should be this easy.

They are really good! I am going to change oil, filters and checking my car without even checking anywhere else.
They are so honest and you can feel confident that they are telling you the truth.
Patrick is very friendly and can consult you with your problems.
Come and check tire depot central before going any where else!

Ordered some tires from TireRack and got them shipped here to install. Everyone was very no-​nonsense, extremely straightforward, yet extremely friendly. To get 3 tires installed and an alignment cost me $ 110 which I think is reasonable.
Not much of a waiting room but regardless I would come back to this location for my tire and basic car servicing needs. Avoid the La Crescenta location.

Patrick, the owner at this location, was not only able to fix the problems I’ve been having with my S2000 but also checked my alignment and straightened out my crooked steering wheel after 3 previous shops couldn’t. I found out my sloppy, loose steering wheel was caused by a loose bolt on my steering column after another S2000 speciality shop forgot to tighten it after they installed my clutch. Because he owns an AP1 S2000, he knew all about the issues I was having and fixed it in less than 5 minutes.
Highly knowledgable and very professional! I recommend anyone in the Glendale area (especially anyone who owns/​drives a Honda S2000) to this guy!

Normally, getting a flat tire would stress me out endlessly. Now, I don’t know if LA has changed me into a more laid back person, or if the other actually laid back people in LA make many possibly harrowing experiences much more bearable and even sometimes pleasant.
I purchased four tires with warranty back in August (you gotta bargain for the best price, peeps! do your research and go hard — they will price match). I got the $ 74 tires and added $ 12 insurance on each. In retrospect, I’m very happy I did because the warranty covers irreparable tire punctures. So after checking out the tire and deeming it unpatchable, Arsen hooked me up with a brand new tire — the same kind I originally had. My bill was $ 23 to cover installation. Fair enough!
They also do free rotations with tire purchases (all warranty perks are for 36 months after purchase). They do oil changes and everything else here, too. I think their oil changes are $ 20 which is reasonable, too.
Glad I found this place.
PS: Get the warranty on yo tires!!!

I love my neighborhood tire shop! I’ve been coming here for 3 years now.
The service is excellent, prices are very reasonable, and I always leave feeling like I got a fair deal.
Honesty is a big thing for me and I never feel as though I’ve been taken advantage of…

Went in for new struts with a printed coupon for 15% off parts and labor, but they refused to honor it. Wanted to make this my go to place based on the other reviews here, but won’t be going back now.
Took it to the American Tire Depot on Glendale Ave and they didn’t hesitate to accept the coupon.

I was already a customer of American Tire Depot, having purchased 3 tires from them. The great thing about this company is that if you purchase one tire from them, you get free tire rotation for all your tires. And they offer insurance for your tires for very cheap (around $ 10 a tire) so that if you ever get a nail in one or drive through a pothole and you get a flat, they will replace your tires for free. You need to do it while the tread is still ⁸⁄₁₀ at least.
So I had already been to other locations (another Glendale location, Pasadena) but this was by far the most efficient. I might have gotten lucky because it didn’t look like they had many cars they were working on, but at the other locations I had waited at least half an hour or 45 mins.
This time I called Monday morning to schedule an appointment in the afternoon. I got there a few minutes early but they handled me right away, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! Wow!

First time going to an American Tire Depot. Went in for the conventional oil change (which was $ 16.95+tax for Unilocalers). The place was a bit busy, around 3 cars ahead of me. Staff was nice enough to accomodate me and start on my car 20mins i got it. I was in and out at about an hour. Great and fast service!
I’ll be needing new tires soon, now i know where to go.

This is my go to spot! They are always pretty fast and affordable.
I’ve only been there for tire issues, but they do offer a lot of other automobile services.
I was just there to get a flat tire fixed, and as I was out watching them work on it, I struck up small talk with the mechanic and actually learned a good tip about how much air should really go into my cars tires.
It was a great experience!
