Had an outdoor family shoot with Daniel, of Daniel Nydick Photography last week in our downtown. We exchanged a few emails before our shoot so that we’d be ready. Daniel was helpful in letting us know what to expect, how to dress, what to bring with us, and also took the time to try to get to know a little bit about our family so that he could be better prepared and plan for our shoot. Immediately upon meeting Daniel, we were pleased with our choice of photographers. He was friendly and professional, and his easy going manner had a way of putting both the kids and adults in our family at ease. The shoot was actually fun, for kids and adults, and we were eager to see our pictures. He snapped plenty of pictures of us in the traditional places around town, but also had some creative ideas to get us in some fun shots that none of our friends would also have. Daniel delivered our preview images in less than 24 hours, and we were very pleased with them! Daniel managed to capture some light and fun moments as well as some thoughtful and serious expressions. Regardless of the mood, they were all excellent photos, and we were quite happy with what we saw. Fast forward a few days to the time we got to see our high-res images… and what we’d been quite happy with the days before we were suddenly in love with. Amazing. Excuse my lack of photography expertise while I try to describe our pictures… a variety of color, b&w, some seem light, some seem saturated. In terms of the focus, some seem softer and some seem sharper. Some are close up and some are distant. What they all have in common is that they really are absolutely amazing. We’ve shared the images with our family, and although I’m sure they’re biased about the awesome subjects in the photos, they have all commented on how spectacular the photography itself is, in addition to the beautiful models. ;-) Finally, as we have tried to figure out how to access, share, and order our images and prints, Daniel has been wonderfully patient with and helpful to us, answering our questions and advising us.
