Meet the Business Owner
Janet A.
Business Owner
People ask me if it was always my dream to open a yarn store. I tell them that it was more like my midlife crisis. In a matter of days I was laid off from my job in corporate training and my brother was killed at the World Trade Center. I decided in my next career I wanted to take a stand for peace.
Through my grief, I discovered that knitting was extremely therapeutic and I wanted to bring this opportunity for personal peace to others, but I also wanted to have an impact globally. So I set out to stock the store with yarn and supplies from companies that were doing their part to make the world a better place. I found many products that were environmentally friendly and socially responsible and wonderful to work with.
We’ve created a community of talented, creative people that are passionate about knitting and crocheting and making a difference. We would love it, if you would join us.
