solid meal wanted breakfast in the afternoon after yoga. Had their egg, cheese, turkey sausage sandwich on sourdough bread. Satisfied my belly. Our waitress was nice and service was good! Well definitely be back.

We always feel welcome and recognized when we come in. Server usually remembers our(somewhat specialized: D) order. Great locally owned restaurant! Nick(owner) always asks about my kids and family.

Good breakfast and brunch place. The biscuits and gravy are very good. Friendly service. Booths are on the smaller side, a tad uncomfortable. Prices are reasonable.

This is the best breakfast place. They take pride in what they do. They make sure to make you feel welcome by remembering your name ever time you go back. The food is unbelievably good every time and the portions are perfect. Prices are in line. Thank you. Keep up the great work.

Breakfast was ok. I went with the Farmer’s skillet with bacon, and my husband got pancakes. The skillet was pretty darn delicious, but my husband said the pancakes were rubbery. The coffee was better than average. I thought the service was pretty good. The place could be a little cleaner, but overall the experience was pretty average.

I’ve been here about 5 times now and every time is very pleasant. The coffee is always fresh, food is delicious and portion appropriate. I always get eggs with meat, potatoes and toast and my boyfriend always goes for a supreme omelet. With a coffee, our bill typically comes out close to 18 $. I love the homey feel here, the owners remember us and always make an effort to be friendly and welcoming. Overall, my favorite place to get breakfast in the area!

Today was brunch with my mom and sister before heading to see GG and my mom leaving. Danby was close and although I’ve driven by it a thousand times, I’ve never stopped in. My sister recommended it bc she likes the GF pancakes. The wait-staff was kind and attentive. The clientele was mainly groups in their sunset years. The food was simple and absolutely delicious. I had cream of broccoli soup, a BLT, and a salad with balsamic. Everything was home-made, fresh, and not salty. 3 of us were stuffed and our bill was $ 21. This might become a bit of a delightful tradition. Nothing frilly. Simply good, classic food from a local business at reasonable prices… and admittedly, I kind of love that they re-purposed an old Denny’s.

There’s not many good breakfast restaurants in the area, but this was surprisingly good. Basic, but well done. Good for the kids.

Great food for a great price — fast service. Excellent service and specialty or «off menu» orders don’t seem to be a big problem(the spinach and feta omelet is excellent). Clean.

Not a lot of Reviews I see. Well sadly it didn’t work for me. I got steak and egg’s and the steak was out of date(OLD) Gross. The award winning staff you all say was kind of creepy to me. Like a bad old 70s freak show. Its how I seen it. I wish more people would Unilocal. We work hard for our money!

Great wait staff. Prompt and courteous. Clean tables and floors. The food was A-okay, just what you’d expect in a breakfast/lunch establishment. I would recommend.

Danby Station is one of the best breakfast places I have ever been to. My boyfriend and I make going to this establishment a weekly thing. The skillets are amazing and they have many crêpe options to choose from. Their coffee is great as well and the wait staff is always very pleasant. I am always seated promptly and my coffee is always Hott.

Danby Station has perhaps the nicest wait staff I have ever seen. Very cordial and good at what they do. And Charlie is probably the hardest worker I have ever seen. The breakfast food isn’t the best in the area, but the service keeps me coming back for more. Keep up the good work.

I’ve read this place used to be a Denny’s. To me, it might as well still be a Denny’s because we were not at all impressed with the food or service. Among our table, we sampled a skillet, pancakes, and eggs with meat. It’s not that anything truly bad happened. It was just so underwhelming. I’d rather just go to IHOP, and that’s saying something. With all of the quality breakfast places around, I’m not sure how this place stays in the game. Maybe we missed something.

When staying in Glen Ellyn for a Hockey Tournament, my daughter and I had heard this was the place to have breakfast. In short, Local favorite, Fast Service, Friendly, bottomless coffee and the food was excellent. My daughter said we definitely need to bring the family next time we are nearby.

What do the following foods have in common: carrots, apples, curry, spinach, artichokes, onion, cous cous, raisins, green peppers, chicken, asian salad dressing, and a breadstick? If you said«absolutely nothing,» you’d be correct… if Danby’s Station’s «Orient Express Salad» didn’t exist. Wacky salad, it is. But pretty good too. Who’d have thought that this eatery would be that progressive with something as basic as a salad? And yes, it is «Danby’s Station.» Possessive. So there.

On the site of a former Denny’s on Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn lies Danby Station. A pancake house style restaurant that’s only open until 3:00PM, Danby station has been just a few blocks from my former childhood home for years and up until today I had never visited. Part of my experience and the reason this review will not be five stars has to do with the service. Now this is a story all about how, my life got twist turned upside down, and I experienced a bit of frustration at a place that’s called Danby Station. In walking into Danby Station a mural is noticeable on the top of the wall showing when a number of famous landmarks in Glen Ellyn were erected. I came in and within no time at all was given a booth and a menu. In 30 seconds or so I had zeroed in on what I wanted to order, closed my menu and put it of to my left-hand side so show I was no longer looking at the menu and was ready to order. After I sat down a few more people came in, and to my frustration a server came to their tables and took their orders before me despite my having arrived and having been seated earlier. Eventually the waitress did make her way to my table and was courteous and polite, when taking my order. It was after this that she was apparently on coffee detail, running around to every single table doing coffee refills. I don’t drink coffee, I don’t like coffee(or tea) so I ordered a soft drink. The soft drink wasn’t filled until every table in her area got a coffee refill. Eventually my food was ready, and while a little longer than most places it wasn’t a terribly long wait from when my food was served. However, shortly after getting my food and eating a bit, I ran out of soda. There was a reasonable amount of time before I was asked if I wanted more as the waitress once again was on coffee detail running around refilling coffee. I wonder if there’s some sort of a «leave no coffee mug empty» emphasis here. In any event I ordered a skillet with pancakes and the skillet was definitely five star quality food. It had a great mix of flavors, the eggs were soft and fluffy this was way beyond my expectations. The quality of the pancakes were fairly average and the cup they provide syrup in is slightly smaller than it should be to accommodate two pancakes. Overall my food was excellent, the inside is clean and has a pleasing décor, and my service was friendly. However, it seems like there is a big emphasis to do coffee refills at the expense of general service quality here. It’s possible when I inevitably visit again I might bump this review up to five stars if the service is better. But for now I’m leaving it at four.

This review does not pertain to the service. I got carry out so I will change my review once I actually do dine in because I think service is huge. The food is great though! Lots of food for your $$. Will go back to dine in sometime

I really really like this place. I really really like that a bill for 2 people is less than $ 20. I really really like that they know how to poach an egg. I really really like a lot of things here. I used to hang out here in high school… when it was Denny’s. Those were the days, man… Unlimited coffee… open all night… close to home… it was sweet. But not as sweet as Danby Station. My mom’s favorite breakfast joint, and I found myself here on Saturday morning… I look over and bam! There’s mom sitting with her breakfast buddy. I too am with my own breakfast buddy. I guess I do take after her just a little bit… Anyways, I ordered the 2 eggs(poached) with turkey sausage(delightful) and hash browns(undercooked – next time, I’ll ask for them extra crisp) with a biscuit and gravy instead of toast(Only like 75 cent up charge? heck ya!) The biscuit was fluffy and delish. The gravy was warm and gravy-like. The eggs were, like I said, perfectly poached. The browns were a little soft, and the turkey sausage consisted of two flavorful patties. The OJ comes in a cute little glass, which is perfect Chrissy size(I don’t like a lot of juice in the AM.) The perfect end to the meal? FREEANDESMINTS. NO starlight mints here. No sir. We’ve got the good stuff, and we’re not afraid to share it.
