This is a pretty authentic Mexican cantina in the heart of Glen Burnie of all places and I personally love it(one of my favorite places to get drunk)… but please let me stress«authentic Mexican cantina.» This is the place where the kitchen staff and construction workers of Glen Burnie go to kick back. This is a place where your waitress will barely, if at all, speak English. There is almost constantly blaring ranchera music. In Mexico many«cantinas» actually have signs specifically forbidding women and children from entering. With that out of the way, in reality the place isn’t very rowdy at all, I’ve never even seen a bar fight here. As far as women go… there is no rule forbidding your entry and you see guys with their girlfriends/wives/female friends from time to time, but I would not call this the place for your next«girls night out.» As far as food goes, it’s actually pretty good… their nachos are incredible(ofcourse nachos are really more tex-mex than actual Mexican). Unfortunately service in regards to food is not so great… me and my friend both ordered the quesadilla(which were true Mexican style, not the tex-mex grilled meat and cheddar in between two tortillas) dinner… I got mine, then twenty minutes later when I had just finished eating my friend got his. The waitresses however are almost always very sweet and attentive(despite the fact that they usually have about 20 – 30 guys hitting on them at once) making me think that this is more of the kitchen’s issue than theirs. Point is that this isn’t Don Pablos… don’t come here expecting that… but if you like what you’ve read here and you’re feeling adventurous and up to experiencing a culture you might not be so familiar with you should check this place out.
