Patient First Glen Burnie

Like others said. it’s clean. But that’s about all I can say. Saturday I went in was seen quickly for stomach discomfort, fever and chills. Gave urine and blood sample to test. Nurse seemed really nice. Doctor comes in and says it’s a stomach virus and it will go away no prescription, just eat bread and rice have a nice day. REALLY? OK. It’s Monday and I still have fever and chills and call the office, they want me to come back in! But you already have my labs, prescribe me some meds !! Jeesh! So I’m supposed to pay twice for what you should of done the first time? Waste of time in this place. I’m done with this Patient first and will drive to Columbia instead. THANKS PATIENT FIRST

I would recommend this location based on the 2 experiences I’ve had. Fast, friendly service and I have been satisfied with the outcome for both of my visits. They do get busy, so if you go in for something like a headache, be prepared to wait to see a doc. Also you can use their pharmacy, which is very convenient.

Very clean as other reviewers have stated. No line so I checked in and went right back but then had to wait over an hour for a doctor to tell me my strep test was negative but he was going to give me a prescription for an antibiotic anyway (after a 5 min exam). I appreciate the antibiotic option if symptoms get worse, just wish he could have taken the 5 minutes to come over and tell me sooner. The longer I sat there waiting, the worse I felt. I would not go here again if I was feeling really terrible, would rather schedule an appointment with my PCP for the next day.

I love going to Patient First in Glen Burnie! It is the first place that I go whenever I am sick or injured (and need medical attention). The front desk staff, medical assistants, and most of the doctors and physicians assistants are very kind and helpful. I am almost always diagnosed and treated correctly. Dr. Nika Nakia is my favorite doctor at Patient First. She is very friendly, caring, competent, thorough, integrative, and helpful. I met her one evening in March when I had not slept for a week (due to anxiety and panic). She was amazing and she did everything in her power to help me to restore my sleep. I now ask for her whenever I visit Patient First in Glen Burnie. A BIG thank you to Patient First and to Dr. Nakia.

This place is seriously a joke. I took my 5mon old here because he was wheezing, coughing and running a fever. They took us back and she didn’t even really listen to his chest and said he just had a cold. Well the next night I had to take him into the ER because he sounded horrible and come to find out he has RSV. A highly contagious virus. Then when I went to go fill the medicine for my other 2 kids they prescribed a medicine to my 3yr old that he cant even take. Luckily the pharmacist caught it. They did the same thing to me 5years ago when I took my other son there for a high fever, cough and wheezing. Come to find out with him he had walking pneumonia and didn’t hear back from them until a week later. Luckily my dr demanded to have his records sent to her and I found out after 2days.

I’m giving four stars because of slow and not very responsible after-​care.
I was happy with the clean, friendly, quick service I received on my visit. It was impressive. I received a prescription and duly took it for the three days.
Three days later I experienced symptoms and called in. A «nurse» talked to me and said he would refer my information to the doctor and someone would call that day with further instructions. Two days later and still symptomatic, I called and talked to another «nurse» who said she was transferring me to the «Nurses» who might not answer because «they are slammed right now — but do leave a message and someone will call back.» She did not give me the extension to put in when she transferred me. Not so helpful.
Gave it one more try, pushed the number for receptionist and received a prompt answer. She was going to transfer me until I stopped her and told her of the experience above. Then she put me in touch with an onsite nurse, who contacted the PA while I was on the phone. I have a new prescription and my faith is restored.
So the secret is talk to the receptionist first!

Seen quickly after registration. Doctor also came promptly. Got meds and was told to pay out front. Did not know routine so stopped at second window on the left to ask and was told rudely, «Sit down, someone will call your name». Sat down and watched another patient pay for meds at original check-​in window. Did the same and Erika, very pleasantly as stated me. Erika is the shining star at this location.

This place is about the worst doctors office I’ve ever been in. We (my wife and I) came on a Saturday early afternoon. When we walked in 2 people were in the waiting room. After waiting one horrendous hour in the waiting room we got put into a patient room to wait for a doctor to show. We waited in that room for 2 hours and no one showed. I began to get pretty pissed off. Not only did no one show but no one came in to let us know why it was taking so long or tell us what position in line we were. Zero communication. So I stepped out of the room and asked one of the doctors in the hallway when my wife would be seen and that we had been waiting a very long time. She said «some people have waited 3 hours today» and then told me my wife was next. Very rude. I don’t give two fucks how long other people waited I want to know why it’s been so long for us. She also said it was very busy. Despite the fact that only 4 patients were being checked on and multiple doctors and nurses were working. I’ve never been to a medical establishment that’s so awful. Done Go Here!

Pros: it looks clean and the check in staff are always friendly.
Cons: I am not sure about the caliber of medical professionals here. Most of the time they don’t really check me just ask me some questions, write up a prescription for antibiotics.
And their billing department is terrible. I don’t know why I always get their bills and they aren’t able to process my insurance.

The first time I was here was great. I’m back again today– was here by 4 and checked in right away. Figured it’d be like the first time where I was pretty much in and out, especially because it’s before 5. Well here we are an hour later and I have yet to hear from a doctor. I finally said something to make sure they hadn’t forgotten about me.
The room is absolutely freezing (my feet were turning blue) and Im sensing that I would gave been better off going to the ER for something this simple so the wait woukdnt have been as bad.

They are open and will treat you. Don’t expect any great customer service or friendliness. They might be Zombies.

Great urgent care where they really treat you like a person. Thorough checks, personable staff, and you can fill prescriptions there! The wait is usually really short and you get a complete checkup depending on what you’re going in for. I go and take my kids when I am unable to get in with primary care docs!

I went to this place twice in the matter of two weeks. I had a sinus infection that lasted nearly a month.
I walked in with several symptoms including a stuffy nose and cough. I was prescribed a cough suppressant and some flonase and told to return if I didn’t get better in a week (I had already been sick for 2 weeks at this point).
My second trip a week and a half later was even worse. I had the same symptoms and tried convincing them to give me antibiotics. I did this the first time as well, but had less of a case. I specifically said it was limited to my nasal cavity, but the doctor insisted I get a chest x-​ray to make sure it wasn’t pneumonia. Surprise, surprise, they found nothing in my chest (I never had any gunk or sounds from my chest to indicate otherwise). It seemed like a doctor trying to pad my bill. I was sent home with a stronger cough suppressant but no antibiotics.
Fast forward a week later and I’m still sick because no one at Patient First cared enough to help cure me. I finally go into my primary care doctor who gives me strong antibiotics. The dose runs its course and I am mostly cured minus a small residual cough.
It seems Patient First isn’t actually interested in curing their patients just sending them home sick with a big bill so they return later.

I just went to the Patient First in Catonsville and that reminded me about my experience at the Glen Burnie one.
Same thing. This Patient First is just as slow. I’m not sure why they call themselves an urgent care facility because nothing is urgent about this place.
Waits are ridiculously long. So after work, if you feel sick and you need to see a doctor, I would advise you to suck it up and see your PCP the next day. Waiting two hours before seeing a provider at Patient First might make you feel worse and it’s probably better to just avoid this mess completely. If you can’t wait till the next day, just go to the ER.

I have been here on numerous occasions.
I have never had to wait long, I have been treated well and have always been impressed by how quickly they do labs and X-​rays (as necessary) and get you on your way with Medicine that you can buy right there.
I have gone to this location shortly after they opened and have visited at least a dozen times

okay, so i am a very patient and nice person… However i have never ever been so angry at a single person before in my life!
First off i would like to say this is a medical facility that is for walk-​ins or for primary care. They are open 365 days a year from 8 – 10 which is very very nice when you do need care and yoiu cant get to your primary doc.
I have been to the one in laurel and have been going there for a while and loved it so when this one opened right down the street from my house i was very excited… That is until i got there!
I got there at 5:00 pm and signed in i was very excited bc i was the only person there and only had to get a physical for work. I waited 2 hours while others came and left before getting called. Then i get in the back to do my physical it went so smooth and i was starting to feel so much better about the place the nurse i had was super friendly and nice. However, turns out she didn’t know what she was doing and she gave me the wrong physical form so the head doctor of the building came in yelling at ME like i was the wrong here. uuuummm no! Then he starts asking me the normal questions every doctor asks at the beginning of an appt. And when i didn’t know the exact date of my last period he says «How does a woman not know that?» and proceeds to throw the mini calender at me. Now in case this isn’t bad enough for you yet, let me continue.
So i had to get a Tetanus shot which i didn’t know and Dr. AssHole comes in and tells me i need i couldnt hear him so i simply asked him to repeat himself and so he says «You need a tetanus shot if not i will mark you incomplete for your immunizations and you wont pass this physical» Now im pissed so i get the shot and go on my way home SO SO mad at him. I had to go back to get my form and when i did guess who was there as mean as before… yep Dr. Asshole and he again takes it out on me bc his staff sucks!!!
Is it just me or is this totally unfair to me? yeah thought so. Anyway like i said before i have been to the one in laurel and loved it had no problems there so i do not at all think all patient firsts are horrible and this one wasnt to bad either just Dr. Asshole!!!
